(BUT - don't care what you say Codshit, mgs are not mgs I'm afraid. 180mg of mdma today is not the same as 180mg of mdma of old. The quality of the product (or even the negatives of a poor synth) affect what that '180mg' really means. And most sad old bastards like myself from the days of the first E's will tell you again and again that something changed around the mid-90's).
 
Excellent set and setting, some good mates, a beautiful girl and an 80mg pill will do you far better than 180mg pill at home alone wanking to Go Go Gadget. No doubt.

But for me I say the pills I get/did in the last 18months and in the atmosphere/people I've done them with would be just as good as the old days.

If your talking about pill nostalgia I guess I'm talking the pill that got me the best feeling. Not where I took it contributing.

SHM hit the money on the head as usual. And I do agree with what you say even though I wasn't born long enough to know, that the quality of the synth of the MDMA aint what it used to be. But as far as I'm concerned you can still get rocketfuel MDMA crystal and hoigh dose pills nowadays, admittedly harder than it used to be..

And I wasn't trying to argue at all dudes, merely stating my opinion :)
 
Anyone remember the brown speckled doves from about 99? Didn't know much about chemicals at the time but you could have sworn you were on acid. Was in a club one nite and everyone was on them just sitting around looking at each other. Weird nite, not a sinner up dancing.
 
MDMA is MDMA at the end of the day providing it is made properly. so how can a 130mg pill of today be weaker than a 130mg pill of back then. i think its more down to tolerance issues of caining it for 20 years and the fact that most of todays pills are filled with piperzines. liks a few years ago my mates absolutely hammered these pink heart pills which were great and i had them a few times, then these sharks came out which were even stronger and they just said they were shit because of tolerance and why is it that people who took pills then cant accept that there could be some decent pills about now? i have had idiots completely arguing with me saying i have never had a real 'E' when i refuse to even take an untested pill and have had plenty of pills with triple figures for mg's.

Snowballs (yeah I liked that one), rhubarb n custard, dennis the menace (black & red capsules) and doves. Plenty more I can't remember.

I enjoyed the acid too. Window panes, microdots, ohms and sunrises. =D

For some unknown/idiotic reason I felt like doing curls would be an excellent idea.
Couldn't straighten my arms for 2 months .. :/

Didnt have time to read the entire thread so dont know if they have been mentioned, but the best e ever made by a very, very, very long way were the snowballs circulating around '93. Have heard many stories of how these pills were so strong including some old eastern block government making them to raise cash to split from ussr. Anyone who lives in Northern Ireland will have heard of Kellys(now Lush). I personally seen 1 x snowball selling for £40 + a destroy coat :) in that club one night. They really were that good! Even all the speckled doves, mitzis etc, etc that came after still couldnt touch the original snowball. No rose tinted glasses here. Just ask anyone who ever had the true pill and they will say the same. Sadly everything after that was downhill. Shit, just realised how old I am! =D

I started out in early 1994 and remember vividly the decline in quality that took place in late 1996. MDMA just vanished overnight. We just could not get anything until Mitzi's in 1998 (which were no way as good as pre 1996).

It really was no coincidence that some great clubs such as the Hacienda and Love2be closed in early 97.

This is a long shot but does anyone remember this pill that was stamped with a champagne bottle? It had the words 'Cham' with 'Pagne' underneath written on the back. This must have been around mid 95. These were absolutely the most tremendous pills of all time! 8o <3
 
Does anyone rememebr those dodgy green scrooge/daffy ducks going round around 2000? I never had any but was around people caning them, some people fucking up. they were all different doses and mixed with ket apparently.

Does MDMA have a shelf life per se? My sister found a couple of pills whilst clearing some stuff out of our parents attic from when she was in University at Queens in Belfast circa 1994, unfortunately the press had worn off but she still has them.
