Television Breaking Bad

It would be intresting to see him try it, as Brian Cranston could probably do a decent job at pretending hes high.

He'll never do it though, its one of his main rules. He would always give Jesse so much shit for getting high on their supply.

Why did the old dude in the flashback with the brothers have a wooden chair that looked like a wheelchair when he could walk just fine? Just to hammer in the connection in case you couldnt tell who he was?

Just another one of those slightly clever yet somehow out of place quirks of the show.

No one has talked about the lastest episode yet? Fine, FIRST ONE!

What an amazing moving episode. This series is like sex where it just keeps getting better imo. I feel like I'm having some crazy tantric sex where I never reach the climax because I keep getting higher. What a supurb ending, I thought Hank was done for at first and then kept changing my mind every second. Truely supurb.

I can tell Skylar is starting to comming around. It seems like she almost wanted to give Walt some advice, like she was his sidekick. I want to say Walt sunk the last nail in the coffin with this episode in his relationship with her, but he's still the kids father, which is obviously very important. I also constantly read too deep into things with this show, but I've also not read deep enough on a few occasions.

This thread is gonna light the fuck up in the next 48hrs.

It didn't look like a wheelchair to me. It was just a chair with wheel designs on it... which, yes, is indeed clever. :)

GREAT episode. It was the best of the season. I was only 15 minutes in and I felt like it had done enough for a whole episode.

Random thoughts: I'm really stoked for for Jesse to work with Walt again. I knew the show had to reconcile them before it was way too late. I still think Skylar's a bitch... I hope she dies somehow though I know that's not going to happen unless she wants to leave the show. I actually felt sorta bad for Hank after he had to give up his badge & gun. Then again, he deserved it... and shouldn't be on the force anymore with all his problems. Well, I guess that's 'solved' for a while. BTW, waaaayyy too much purple going on in Hank's house. I guess that's Marie's style which is pretty over-the-top and hilarious.

Final scene: HOLY SHIT. When I saw the brothers walking toward Hank's car I nearly peed myself. That was so intense! So, I'm guessing Gus is the one who called Hank to warn him? I'm sure we'll find out but why does he care if another dumb DEA agent is killed? I guess he was sick of the brothers screwing up his business. Furthermore, how did he keep track of when the brothers were going to kill Hank?

I can't wait for next week.

I liked everything about the episodes besides the last 5 minutes. The way the brothers were portrayed in the murder attempt was bullshit. It was like they've never had experience with fighting against someone who can send something back, and being the gangsters that they are, i call bullshit on that whole scene.

Decent episode. The one before that latest was out of this world though.

I'm guessing most of the time there target isn't warned about what is happening, when its happening. Last night episode was great though, like jesse's character character alittle less after the hospital scene and he was one of my favorites but besides that was pretty fucking awesome.

Best show on tv. Last two episodes have been incredible. Even w/ the voice disguiser, I think it kind of sounded like Hank's boss. I have a feeling he is somehow involved w/ Gus, since he was so adamant about Hank going to El Paso. Could've been Mike though. Who knows.

Spoiler alert...Just assume there will be spoilers in a thread about a show.

Yeah, I dont think the brothers were expecting Hank to have been tipped off. If Hank was unaware he would be dead. If hank hadnt already had the key in the ignition and the car in reverse there is no way he would have gotten the car racing backwards at the brother while being shot at....highly unlikely anyway without the tip off.

As for warning Hank....I think Pollo approved it. I think Pollos felt that the brothers were problematic....not only that, but they were threatening him. They were pressing him and making threats against him on his own territory. Pollos is a clever man...less overt and crude compared to the brothers and the cartel. The old man was right not to trust him, because he is so much smarter and more clever. I think the way Pollos saw it, by allowing them to go after Hank it was a win win situation. It didnt matter if they succeeded or got killed, he would have one problem out of his hair or the other....but maybe he was just a little more pissed off at the brothers and the cartel for bossing him around on his own territory, so he gave Hank the tip-off to even the playing field.

Yeah, I dont think Walt was thinking about Jessie or what he was going through. I think he always thought it was about the money. I dont think Walt had any clue what Jessie was going through after his girlfriend died only to be rejected by his partner, the only thing he thought he was any good at. I think he finally got it and realized that he had to be fair and cut him in....kind of sucks that it happened under a threat, but then again that is how their relationship started....with Walt blackmailing Jessie.

^ good post. didn't think about that win/win situation for gus. makes sense tho.

what a way to end it tho. said it before ill say it again its weird how much i like hank considering he works/ed for the dea. guess he is like a character i love to hate. tho the actor does a good job in this role. but dayum he fucked pinkman up then got fucked up himself (coulda been curtains for him tho). karma is a bitch. ha

Yeah, I think, primarily, Walt has always thought it was about the money... but they're no denying that he has, maybe, unconsciously cared for Jesse to some extent. Remember his conversation with Jane's dad at the bar & his attempts to find Jesse after Jane died. He was pretty panicked to find Jesse & you could tell he was really concerned when Jesse started crying in Walt's arms. But I think recently, you're right, he forgot all about how much he cared about Jesse. I think he's going to let Jesse be his second family all over again. :)

Good thing Hank finished the brothers.. They looked so "awesome" but where the most worthless hit men I've ever seen in a show. I'm glad that's done.

The old dude is the guy that was in the wheelchair when Tuco was killed right?

The negative impact of this lifestyle has really become ultra apparant in the last few episodes, but that is happening along with coinciding increase the glamor of easy money.....its pretty well balanced actually, offering the right blend of excitment....and despite its flaws, like the 30 second meth trip, its actually the best depiction of drug culture I have ever seen in a real television show....besides marijuana culture which is played out and exaggerated on TV.

Love the show, only thing I watch as soon as possible anymore.

I think that the faceoff is going to be the last nail in Hank's mental coffin. I mean he said that ever since Tuco he has been spiralling downhill and the mexicans was many times more traumatic than that.

Also very glad to see Walt and Jesse back together, their relationship is one thing the 3rd season has been lacking so far.

Really interested to see where it goes. :)

That last episode was intense, really enjoyed it personally.

Its ironic how the old man in the flashback says 'Family is all' to the young brothers while simultaneously Walt realizes he's all Jesse has got.

The accuracy of the 'meth' drug culture I feel is second only to HBO's depiction of 'heroin' culture in their series The Wire.

I fuckin' love this show! %)
