Television Breaking Bad

Ok. Totally must have missed that. :\

It was easy to miss since it was 1 single line of dialogue. They seemed to be at the hospital for a while though, as in multiple days. It seemed unlikely that they'd never get their daughter at all, but I suppose she could have been with a babysitter anytime they showed them at the hospital.

Marie is a cunt too, it looks like it runs in the family. Episode 8 was severely lacking in Odenkirkage.

Kind of agree with Marie, but she seemed to just be freaking out. I thought the not admitting to stealing things was worse. From her point of view, if she had lost Hank, she had already been on the outs with her sister, and Walt seems to be moving out of the picture. She's pretty much on the brink of being completely alone.

Skylar seems to be toning down the bitchiness lately. Would not be surprised if her and Walt end up back together. She obviously still loves him (crying at the table in the hospital, falling alseep on him, they've been together for so long, etc) and if she can turn a blind eye to the cooking, she'll be with the same husband she's always had, except he's now on his way to being a millionaire. Is she still getting boned by her boss?

Definitely needed some Saul in that episode. He plays his role really well.

If Walt keeps dicking around like he has been I think he might be too big a liability for Gustavo. In the short time he's known him he messed up the first meet, fired the assistant who knows about the secret meth lab, brought in Jesse, and failed to produce the weekly quota. I understand his role with his family right now, but I don't understand his hesistance to embrace this more. He has a job in a field he loves, has a great lab, can make his own hours, doesn't have to deal with office politics, and it makes him millions of dollars, yet he seems to be blowing it so far. Does he not understand the power these guys have?

I think Gus will overlook the late delivery, considering he basically put a hit on his brother inlaw....But I dont think he will tolerate further problems.

The thought that crossed my mind is that the assistant would maybe have made Walt obsolete or at least unnecessary once he understood the routine. Maybe Walt recognized this and was looking to cut him loose, like dumping those chems that maybe could have been saved, even before he decided to give it to Jessie. I think he looked more worried than happy when the assistant had everything finished before he was told to, and then he blew up at the first mistake.....I mean, he liked the guy alright, but he also saw him as a threat maybe.

I mean, he JUST had the same problem with Jessie. He must be aware of what can happen when more and more people know your formula.

I don't think there'll be repercussions from the late delivery, but little things like that can add up. I think if any problems do arise it would be more due to the fact that Walt lied about why production was held up. In this case Gustavo already knew he was lying, but it might take credibility away from Walt in the future.

Definitely agree with that. Once the assistant (Gail) knew all of Walt's formula, Walt would lose a lot of his value. That may have been Gustavo's plan the whole time, since he seems like the one who would have picked out Gail.

Their breakup was kind of awkward. I felt bad for Gail.

in the previews 2 weeks ago it showed Gail being the one that basically leads the DEA to Walts demise. Or thats the way it appeared and it makes sense.

I never watch the previews for any show.

The show is already exciting where I don't know to be teased with information that's going to give out the plot of the next episode. I'm already along for the ride! :)

How so? Was that a flash forward?

it was just the previews after the show is over for upcoming episodes. it had gail being lead into a room with hanks partner behind him like he was leaking details to them. it was prolly only a 2 seconds flash but i think thats what i saw

I agree with CL on previews.. They're just made to get you hyped up for the next episode and you'll keep watching.. I'll know if I'll watch it or not anyway and I don't like knowing more then I should.

I also dislike the flashbacks on the beginning of episodes, because you'll know half of the stuff that is going to happen because the recaps will be relevant to the show.

It does nothing to improve the viewing experience of the next episode, yet the curiosity kills me. I just have to see whats next, like a little taste of my next fix.

It usually doesnt give much away.

I like to go in completely fresh.

Some shows used to be really bad about the previews. They'd show scenes that wouldn't happen until the last few minutes, which would give away the plot of the episode. That's when I decided to stop watching the previews and then I just started doing it for every show. Even shows like It's Always Sunny, just because I don't want any of the funny parts given away. :)

dontcha ever wonder... what happened to beneke? seems like everything has suddenly snowballed a bit faster than it should have. frankly, i'm disappointed in this accelerated pace because the characters have entirely stopped developing to make room for the action. not a wise move for a show with such a small cast...

They could still drag this out if they want to....or maybe they just want to end it.

Even if Walt goes to prison that isnt necessarily the end. Powerful people are involved.
