I watched A bunch of films in the last week, the best was The Horseman, mentioned earlier in the thread I believe. The worst was either The Darjeeling Limited or Rob Zombies remake of Halloween, which I really hadn't expected to be SO awful. Read lots of reviews when it came out and I really like House of 1000 corpses and The Devils Rejects. But the original Halloween is great.
I can't quite understand how it was wrecked so much and the sequel is supposed to be bilge.

Because he sucks. For a so-called horror fan, he sure doesn't know much about how to make a good film imo. :\

House Of 1000 Corpses was utter tripe.

Darjeeling Limited is ace <3

I'll probably give in and go see Sex and hte City 2...but I'm old like it :\

Seen the Lovely Bones last night... pretty tragic, sad film but beautifully done and very engaging. Wishing I'd read the book now.

Apparently the book I am reading - the girl with the dragon tattoo, has now been made into a film. After reading I usually find the films shite, apart from Lord of the Rings, but that's cause it's a overly lengthy for the sake of it, bitch of a book with all those songs n' whatnot :|

The Karate Kid remake brings tears to my eyes. How dare they, fuck you Will Smith.

Anyway, recently saw Batman Begins for the first time - amazing film.

I also saw Traffic which was really good too.

Only a handful of you will be familiar with a band called The Gits, however, they were really quite amazing imo. It was the early 90s and they were on the cusp of stardom, getting caught up in the whole Seattle movement. But that was tragically snatched away from them the night their singer, Mia Zapata was raped and murdered.

A few years ago, a documentary was put together in memory of Mia. During the filming, ten years after her death, they finally found the cunt who killed her. This is their poignant story.

Indeed. Looks interesting that - thanks, missus :)

Last films I watched were Alice in Wonderland (which I'm guessing you've all seen anyway). Meh just about covers it.

Other film I watched was 9 (Trailer). Rather an odd film really. Kinda like Pixar in it's nihilistic teen years. Nicely animated but pretty dark and post-apocalyptic for the kiddiwinks but not really enough meat on the bones for adultiwinks. Not bad, but could've been much more interesting if it had gone properly grown-up.

Why are Michaele Haneke films either really great or mind numbingly boring?

71 Fragments of a Chronological of Chance. ZzZzZzZ! :|

I still wanna see Gleaming The Cube though. I mean, I love the name itself, and the film looks plain ridiculous 80s trash i.e right up my street. :D

edit:the poster's pretty cool too. :D

What a load of shite. =D

That film is amazing, i remember watching it with my bro about 18 years ago, it had Tony Hawk amongst others in it worth it for that alone!

I just watched Paranormal Activity and thought it was pretty awesome, really drew me into it and the ending was so good. :D

I saw that DVD laying around the house, don't really know what it's all about tbh...
