man i read this thread hoping to hear some good news, but i'm sorry you haven't got the outcome you were hoping for....yet.
my experience with naltrexone is... about 9 months ago i went to a doctor saying i was an alcoholic and that i wanted to try naltrexone treatment.
Naltrexone is subsidized for alcoholics, but not for opiate addiction here. so instead of paying $160, i paid $5 for a bottle of 30-50mg tablets with 2 repeats.
my first time taking 1 tablet i felt instantly depressed and subsequently ended up waiting 24hours and then scoring, since then i've had 29 tablets of this stuff lying in my cupboard.
a 50mg dose didn't make me feel physically sick, it just made my urge to get on a lot stronger as i had been clean for about a week.
seeing as its really easy to make an ultra low dose from a 50mg pill, i was thinking that i could use them after all... i don't really have much of a tolerance to opiates right now and since using h over a week ago and about 4 days of oxy use, about 150-200mgs a day, i've been clean apart from a little bit of codeine to help the WD for 3 days.
I'm interested in taking a dose before bed each night and getting some endorphins swimming about. I don't know a great deal about it at low doses but if i take 1mg it will help produce endorphins for 24hours but only block my receptors for 4hrs or so.... i'm interested in this because i've been taking an AD(mirtazapine) for a year but i feel depressed always and i keep relapsing on H and other prescription opiates.
so basically i'm just wondering if i can get any benefit out of taking these small doses of naltrexone you're experimenting with, albeit with a lot smaller tolerance to opiates than yourself? I mean how shit did 3mcgs make you feel? and you felt bad when waking up on that low dose... how long does such a dose stay in your system for?
