I don't think it's fair to include motor accidents in statistics for alcohol/cannabis/whatever deaths. It wasn't the drugs fault, it was the person using the drugs fault. Totally off topic, but just thought I'd say my piece.I didn't argue against the lack of deaths caused by cannabis, but imho it would be pretty ignorant to presume there weren't a decent number of deaths that cannabis contributed to heavily, both through lung damage contributing to emphysema and motor accidents.
TripppAR was talking about the lack of negative effects on his lungs caused by cannabis so I was just commenting on my experience which is quite different.

If you drink and drive, you're a blood idiot
there is nothing worse than chopping up the green, counting the people in the chop then someone saying "Dude there might not be enough cones...".
I've seen this in a few people. I'd include myself in that, except I was always this way. I think people forget that there is more to life than just weed.*^^^^Oh... i know this scenario all to well hahaha.
Over the past two years after seeing many close friends turn to the bong (myself also, although substantially more casual) I have noticed the worst effects aren't health issues or problems with addiction/withdrawal but rather the demotivation and general lack of enthusiasm in everyday life.
It seems more and more these days im sitting down with friends thinking of something to do... we just end up getting stoned, every single time. It's just too damn convenient!!
We are talking about pretty heavy cannabis use, anywhere from 2-3 grams a day and often more. Obviously the tobacco didn't help but theres no way to rule out that marijuana heavily contributed to the sorry state my lungs were (still are) in.
I say all this about marijuana but unfortunately my experiences were not enough to stop me from taking up daily smoking again recently. Its a bit of a cunt on top of my drinking problem but right now I am managing to keep myself down to around .5 grams a night.

I can't find it, but not too long ago I saw a very detailed non-bias survey on tobacco vs mariujana's affect on the lungs.
It was a survey that took ages to complete can't remember exactly (15yrs+) I think.
But any how, the jist of it pretty much was that the people writing the survey were trying to prove that cannabis gave lung cancer. And amongst all the people they trialed it showed ZERO signs that weed gave lung cancer. However it showed that it still caused serious damage, not in a life threatening way, but enough that you become short of breath, weazy, cough etc. Nothing really suprising... just wanted to back up your claim
(really wish I could find the link lol)
) of young, jobless dudes smoking weed & perfecting the art of womanising... makes this cultural anomaly far more endemic than it has ever been before....?
