Thanks. Odd that you say they seem strained, because they usually write themselves in 10mins~ or so. They are defintely overly-romanticsed, but thats what me likes :).

What do you want me to draw for your tattoo? Just some more freaky LSD visions or something more concrete?
 
I've never been much of an artist to say the least :D but since my last trips i have found new motivation in trying to express myself... here's something i made today, it's one of the best i ever managed to do, of course nowhere near the level that some of you show in this thread - you really can see that i have no talent in painting and little knowledge on image manipulation... nevertheless i'm proud of it and want to show it :)

It may not seem psychedelic per se, but to me skating and psychedelics are strongly intertwined. Let me know what you think, usually only people who are into skating comment. I like to think that other people can dig it too though.


edit:is there a way to embed youtube videos in here? I tried the text they provide but that's all that showed up on the page.

very nice orange, i like your skating style very much :)

and it's a good trailer, like any good skate vid makes me wanna grab my board and go out ;) also like the music you used, kind of really brings in the psychedelic element...

i was thinking about combining something like tai chi with skating... as skating really has a lot to do with the flow of energy... i think any skater has already realised it, when you do a trick in the right way it will be rel. easy and cost little power, if you want to force it it won't really work...

hmm now i feel i have to go out and try that impossible again... that's my favourite, if you manage to do it in the flow it just feels so "right"

skating was one of my first drugs :D

I came across this site on the web and thought some people would be interested in this work. specifically in the photography section the work seems to resemble a distorted perceptual state where things are fragmented and warped to create an experience. It reminds me of the reorganization of thought processes while on psychedelics and even though there is distortion there is an overwhelming understanding of clarity and understanding within the objects not seen before.

I wrote a little narrative thingy or whatever about my bad trip last night.

Noises.
Where am I?
My basement.
Or is this my mind?
Noises. The sounds are all around me. Footsteps.
Are they coming down?
No. I’m paranoid.
Am I?
I can’t take this.
Who am I?
I’m terrified. I’m hiding from whatever is out there. Or maybe I’m hiding from my mind. My own mind is my worst enemy. Irony. I can’t get away. But I’m trying.
Under a blanket. My shield. I enter a new world, a new universe.
An endless tunnel. I’m lost in my new world.
But am I safe?
The fear is back.
Does this room have an end to it?
Now the noises are in here. I shut my eyes to wish them away.
Or do I?
Are my eyes open or shut?
I return to my endless tunnel. Where does it end, I must know. My body is changing, morphing. I hear new sounds and voices.
Voices?
Theirs or mine?
Who is they?
Where are they?
Nowhere.
My mind is they. My mind is who and what.
Is it where and why?
My hair melts onto my face. My new world is swallowing me up. It’s closing in on me. Fear. And then, oblivion.
This is my new reality.

Those are pretty cool diche! I imagine the last one as a cover for some ambient cd, perhaps. Very good composition in that one.
