Bupe Suboxone/Buprenorphine FAQ and Megathread v.1; 2007 - 2010

Suboxone!!

So after going to an addiction specialist to get away from my opiate problem, I was prescribed suboxone. My addiction wasn't nearly as bad as some, or even more for that matter. Anyway, I read up on taking the subs IV, and after researching and reading other various threads on here about it, I decided that it would be worth a try and wow... that's pretty much all I can say. Before I was going back and forth between roxies (30 mil) and Heroin, rougly 35 units a dose. I'm not sure if it was the fact that I was taking relatively low doses or what the exact reasoning was, but the injection of the suboxone went amazingly well. I started with two miligrams like the doctor told me to, and then an hour later I took another 2 miligrams, and all I can say is that it's amazing. It's damn near better than the heroin, and to top it off, it lasts longer. This bs about the naloxene, total crap. It did nothing, and to top it off, the subs made me feel fantastic. Total body buzz, nice warm feeling, just all around great. And yes, I know the whole idea of the subs are to get you away from doing the drugs and get rid of your addiction, but to be honest, I don't really want to quit. I enjoy the hell out of my opiates, always have, always will, and this is not only legal, it also takes so little to get the high that I get that it's waaaay more cost effecient than any of the other opiates, even at 7 dollars a pill. So anyway, I just wanted to post that for anyone that was curiouse about taking subs intraveiniously. If you really want to quit, take them the right way, please, for yourself and everyone that you care and love for, but if you don't want to give up your high and you want a much safer way to go about getting, these are your guys. I'm sure I'll get flamed on many levels for this post, but I wanted to put it out there for anyone that was truly curious about it like myself. So have fun, be as safe as you can, and please if you think you can't do it without getting so far that you truly endager your health or freedom, get help and take the help the way you're supposed to, don't be like me!!

Thanks for the feedback.

I use 0.16mg per IV does, so maybe you should taper down. Most of the positive effects with IV bupe will still be there once you taper down. After you drop to the next step it'll take a while for your body to adjust but it's a step in the right direction and I tend to get higher with a lower buprenorphine dose.
 
The generic subutex pills are the best if you're into IV - captain H.

They are literally a tiny fraction of the size of name brand subutex/suboxone - basical just 8mg temgesics.

The filter really easily.

That's really cool! My doctor doesn't think Subutex exists at all though, it'll be hard to say "hey can I try the generic subutex?" "Subutex, what is that? There's no generic to a drug they haven't invented!" That's probably what he would say.

Plus IVing Suboxone is really easy.

The larger size is an ADVANTAGE for me with Suboxone. Once I get micron filters it won't matter what kind I get, it'll all be buprenorphine in water.

However, when I'm breaking up piles of powder, the more powder, the more accurate I am. If I had less powder to work with, the overall amounts of powder in the piles I make when I split up a 2mg into piles would be much smaller, that means they would be less accurate since I have less room for error.

I'm just fine with name brand Suboxone and have no problem being on it. It IV's fine, and at the moment I don't filter.

No, without a cotton it doesn't clog a 31g needle (almost anything else I've shot needs a cotton to at least recover a majority of the water w/o getting clogged) and the liquid is so clear you can clearly read the numbers through on the other side. There's very little reason to use a cotton filter for Suboxone IMO unless you want to be extra careful , or get the most out of your injection solution without a micron filter.

I have tried using a bunch of cottons shoved in a syringe, tehn backloading the solution, and pushing it through all the cottons. I only lose a few units that way and it still works, i would just prefer to get microns. And until then, I feel comfortable for the here and now not filtering.

Still, 1/6 of 1mg is a very small bit of powder (and the equivalent amount of suboxone which contains 1/6 of 1mg is really a very small part of the whole Suboxone pill)

Thats insane.

Why not just do what I do - and use a needleless syringe, drop a cotton filter in the water, push the syringe down REALLY FUCKING HARD onto the cotton - and pull up.

The extra pressure you put on it makes the filter much "tighter" - and results in the filtered solutuion looking just like water - you can see all the shit left in the spoon.

Theres no way I would shoot unfiltered bupe tablets (and I'm the most degenerate user I know) - theres just to much semi-soluable shit in them. I will shoot unfiltered smack if I have no choice - but sub's? No fucking way.

Even though your only doing a tiny bit at a time, it all adds up.

Yeah it's cool though, don't worry about me. I'm getting micron filters soon. I have already ordered several. It's only a matter of time. =D

Had to wait for $ first. Plus a site with a better price for the watson 0.2 microns, but the site was out of stock on those.

For being able to get one or two weeks' worth of solution out of one micron filter, they're very affordable.
 
^ Speaking of Dormicums , I've been making a conscious effort not to IV anything since I started the Bupre maintenance program but after having managed to get a prescription for Dormicum(15mg) I've been itching to try this Subutex+Dormicum combo IVed since it's already pretty awesome orally ...and yes , 808's method of using a needless syringe and a filter is exactly what I'm used to do regardless of what i decide to IV, I know some people who use citric to IV bupre but I find that absolutely unnecessary speacially when one is already HepsC positive since the citric is allegedly directly responsible for the infection itself ... what would you guys say is the "safest" method to IV dormicum+Bupre ?
 
Please help me make a taper schedule for my sub

Hey I am jumping off methadone to subs soon . Only been taking the meth for 2-3 weeks at low doses of about 20 mg a day................i tried kicking dope with it since i had some from friends but i liked it so much it didnt work out . So now i have a little suboxone , its about a pill and a half , looks like about 13 mg (pieces i have saved )
Anyway after i wait 24-36 hours for some of the meth to be outta my system im gonna try to kick with the subs and then be off opiates for real this time. So wondering if anyone has an idea for a taper with the little bit of subs i have so i can get clean and not get too sick.....................I am thinking maybe 4 mg , then 3 , then then 2 , then 1 for a few days , and .5 mg for few days then stop
???
 
I'd go straight to a low mg dose, like 1mg or less and stretch out what you have as long as you can and gradually tapering, going all the way down to 0.2mg or so before dropping off altogether.

Since you don't have much and aren't going to be on for long, I feel obligated to tell you that snorting little lines of Suboxone stretches it out much longer than taking subingually... it's somewhere around 2x as strong that way IME. I had to do the same thing you are about to do pretty much exactly. Good luck.

Citric acid does not cause one to become positive for Hepatitis C.

With a micron filter, you can IV both midazolam and buprenorphine together.

Buprenorphine is water soluble, no need to use citric acid.

What exactly are you asking though, I'm confused? Do you want me to give you step by step directions?
