Short/Long Hot/Cold Day/Night: Would YOU Describe YOUR Drink??

Actually I'd say the opposite about beer. Anything by CUB, Tooheys, Lion and Nathan is pretty much just chemical shit.

Ha, lucky you. I only drink European (because most companys respect beer enough not to distort it all to hell), or reputable Australian brewers. Unfortunately this is expensive.

I'd move to Germany just for the German Purity Law. That shit fucking rocks. In fact it may just be my favourite piece of legislation ever in existence, screw human rights.

If you ever come to Australia try half the beers that are popular here. You will vomit on the spot.

Man, I love those German pilsners too....I went to Berlin not long ago and fell in love with Bitburger Pilsner....so simple, yet so incredibly tasty. Yum! Oh, and cheap too.

Hey lostpunk have you seen this site?

Pretty sure it's run by Lion and Nathan but for a while now they claim a lot of their beers are now "Free from artificial additives and preservatives".

I know this is a big ask to trust the marketing but it made me think.

All subjective :P.

May I ask what beer you normally buy, both for drinking at home and drinking while out?

Subjective yes, but VB, New, Reschs etc. I can't even stomach any more, they make me dry retch. Carlton Cold, TED, etc. are the most fucking pointless beers ever, they have no flavour. Beer for people who don't like beer.

I drink heaps of beers.

Favourite is probably Blue Tongue Lager. I probably drink Amsterdam lager most at home because it's cheap.

Out, it really depends what's on tap and what mood I'm in but it's usually something like Coopers, James Squire, Little Creatures, James Boags, or Heineken (not a conclusive list of course, but it depends what's available).

If I'm home on the coast and the options are extremely slim I'll drink Hahn Super Dry on tap but I don't really like it, best of the worst.

My beer tastes change pretty frequently.

Used to drink many TEDs and Colds but these days I never touch them. Used to like drinking Pills as a half decent cheaper home beer, until they changed them.

Currently drinking quite a few Peronis these days. Also like Squire's Pilsner and Macs Rock Hopper (although hardly ever see them around these days).

Down the local when I'm feeling cheap I drink New but I think it taste differently there, don't know if it's because it's got a very high turn over and is always fresh or I'm just too pissed. :)

Really but I'll drink most beers.

I had one of these bad boys this afternoon.

500mL at 10% makes for about 4 standard drinks. I had to lie down after having just the one.

Lovely beverage nonetheless.

^ Really? Your typing seems pretty sober ;)

I'm about to go crack open a bottle of wine. Misty Bay or something like that. It had Marlborough on the label and that was enough for me.

I've just discovered my local has started stocking Twin Islands though, so rather happy about that.

James Squires Sundown Lager is officially my beer of Summer this year. I couldn't possibly drink enough of this stuff.

Picked up a 6 of this the other day on the back of this reputation (and the fact I love most Squires) and must say it went down a treat. I would compare it to the Golden Ale but with less length to the flavour if that makes sense. Anyway a great beer to drink on a hot summer day. :)
