EADD Body Modification Thread

Is it ok if I pimp my website here? I sell body jewelry.

Im just getting started. Still need to upload all the steel jewelry and most of my newer items. I have more stuff in 1 inch now.

I think i'd quite like a tragus piercing, but mine are a bit of a weird shape so it might migrate out... booo :o

My helix piercing has pretty much healed and I have a horse shoe in that, and got a piercing through the shell of my ear, kinda "in ear" cartilage piercing (ah, found a pic which shows a kinda similar one), I have a labret stud in there. It's still healing, got quite swollen and it popped out when I was cleaning it, kinda annoying as I could only get it back in the other way round, so now the ball is on the back of my ear. Gona wait until it heals more though before fiddling any more. Sleeping on it doesn't help, eyy wellll. :D

I've been meaning to get another piercing but not sure where is reputable in london. Any suggestions?

Not all places in Camden suck, but most do unfortunately. I'd recommend Chioko though. It's run by a bunch of really nice Hungarian girls who totally put you at ease. Reka did a few of my stretches for me in the beginning as I was too much of a wuss to do it myself. I also got my first tragus done there. Tiny place hidden under a shop right next to the station. I'd avoid at peak times though as it gets a tad claustrophobic in the waiting area.

Also, Cold Steel are very good. Never actually had anything done there but often pop in to look at their selection of jewellery and know they're really nice and professional etc.

I went to Diamond Jacks in Soho for my second tragus based on the fact that it seemed to be a highly respectable place (a lot of celebs go there and whatnot). Hmm, didn't like the piercer at all. Complete tosser and sleaze bag. Plus the piercing healed dodgy anyway.

Sorry Mate...away and peddle yer American tat elsewhere. Don't you realise that we went metric years ago?

What the heck is an inch, or stranger still a 1/4 inch.

Jolly hockey sticks me old noodle is about to explode wiv all of this olde worldy stuff.

Nah, just pulling yer plonker!!

I have a feeling that the P&P for your products would be prohibitively expensive for most of us in the United States of Europe.

But good on ye for the shameless plug of your new website.

Nice stuff by the way.

Take it easy fella.

Actually my prices are dirt cheap. I barely make a profit and I buy from the producers directly. Places like Bodyartforms sell stuff for like 5x as much as I do. They have a much larger selection though.

Here in the US we all use gauges and our fucked up American measurements....Give me a few weeks and I will try to update my site to include mms as well. That is actually a good point since most of the world outside of our American bubble uses the metric system.

Pardon my American ignorance. Its not my fault I was born here.

There are about 25mm in an inch.
12.5 mm in a half inch
7/16
00 is around 9.5 or a little smaller
0 is 8.2 or 8.5
2g is 6.5mm, but sometimes closer to 6 in the carved stuff

Its mostly stuff for stretched ears...I still need to upload basic metal items, but I have lots of metal as well that I supply the shops with.

The prices are cheap though, especially if you are used to paying in Euros. If you see any designs you like I call tell you if I have that size in mms and give you a discount if you are from this site.

Don't take life too seriously mate.

It was only a wee bit of light hearted banter. Suppose you missed the wee joke there.

What I was really saying was that while your prices may be very cheap and your stock very nice.

Airmail isn't cheap, so you won't get many takers for your gear.

Good luck with the new site though, but there is no point in wasting time advertising to a target market who probably won't be ordering from you.

Shipping low priced pieces of body jewelry half way round the world probably won't be a very cost effective thing to do for your average consumer.

Have fun.

I actually got most of my piercings at either Chioko or Cold Steel and would not hesitate to recommned either (Chioko are probably a little cheaper though)

I have my ears done heavily with conch and industrial piercing through them, eyebrow, nose twice, tongue and nipple.

I always wanted the old prince to be done but didn't get around to it. Not sure that I will now I'm into my thirties.

How long should/must one wait ideally before stretching piercings to larger sizes?

I assume until they are totally healed?

depends which body part you mean, healed is a must, what body part you wanting to stretch?

Nips, bruv. I assume 6 weeks?

I want a flesh tunnel/plug (obviously a small one) through my frenum too. Bought a 4mm one, I'd say my frenum hole is 3.5mm anyway........ 8o

Just stretch the ole nips out by hand.

Gives you an excuse when you are sat there twiddling with them for hours on end.

Or is it just me that does that.

I got some new spikey attachments for my Nip piercings and now have a tendency to sit and just squeeze em when I'm toasted.

Although I have kept my piercings in for almost ten years, I couldn't imagine having big old floppy stretched nipple flaps.

Maybe a small tunnel would be OK but the aftermath of stretching the Nips out would be nasty (to me)

ugh. Had my fair share of badly done piercings so the whole shebang makes me really enrvous now. Even people I've had recommended have been shit. Thans for the tips.

Nose cartilage = 3 to 6 months.
Flesh septum = 2 to 4 months, unless its fresh then maybe longer.
Ears....As long as it takes to heal then a few months between gauges, but you can stretch slowly in between by adding layers of medical tape.

There are no hard rules about this. It really depends on the individual.

few months between gauges for ears? have never had to leave that long, they're normally good to go as soon as they feel "slack" around the current jewellery which isn't normally much longer than a month for me.
