Thanks. It just seemed weird to me that no one has so much as even brought the issue up though...
I mean most of the micron questions get posted regarding opiate pills anyways... I remember when I was a junkie, I would have sure as hell made sure that the filter I was using wasn't sucking up any of my sweet nectar!

Finally I have the real thing. Sterile and untouched by anyone! Have yet to do it and it will be my first time. I'm VERY experienced with all psychedelics, so I have an appreciation for things well beyond just depersonalization and I know that expectations are usesless compared to actual experience. I get that injection is the way to go and I understand the dosage ranges. Any suggestions for set and setting are welcome. Actually all suggestions are welcome. I do know how to inject (trained professionally) and where. Thanks!
 
Set and setting? My suggestion would be a nice comfy couch or bed. Shot of ket, lie back, you won't be noticing much from the exterior world within a few minutes anyway ;)

Yeah set isn't really much of an issue for me as I rarely do sub k-hole doses (~350mg nasally = k-hole for me)
I usually lie in my bed with my ipod.

Setting, on the other hand, is very imporant and needs to be in the right condition if one wishes for pleasurable ketamine experiences.
 
Good point, D9. Personally I kinda like the dark holes of existential angst almost as much as the blissful wanderings of wonder ones. I am a bit odd like that though...

I completely understand. I've had those k-holes and I believe they can indeed serve a valuable purpose.
 
I agree. Ket kan take you to some very dark places but it seems to know what it's doing cos it works. I always feel kinda cleansed after those deep, dark holes.

This is what has scarred off some of my friends. They did too much their first time and had a bad k-hole and swore off k forever.
When I did my first line it was given to me by a friend who had been using for like 8 years. I told him to bust me out the same size line he was doing, which was like 225mg =D
I had a serious k-hole but unlike some other people I went with the flow and instantly fell in love with ketamine. This was some 3 years ago :)
My point is that I've found that people are really polar when it comes to ketamine. They either hate it or they love it, but I think if some people(like my friends for example) would just let go and accepted the experience they would enjoy it more.
The ketamine knows what it's doing and one shouldn't question it. This is how I have always approached my ketamine use and it has treated me well.

And D9 is bang on - just accept wherever it takes you and don't fight it. My first time on ket I - like many - knew I had died. I saw my headstone and lay in my coffin looking up as the soil was thrown in. I decided that if this was what death felt like then this wasn't necessarily such a bad thing and went about my holey business.

Ket is just amazing but you definitely need to let it do the driving and be a good passenger. Certainly at first anyway. Have fun down there and send us a postcard from the other side :)

It's funny you should bring this up, because I've found that after the first year or so of using ketamine, I could pretty much turn my k-holes "on" and "off", if that makes any sense :\
I learned to control the experience and if necessary I could almost make myself sober. Of course, I only did this like 3 times as ketamine is so wonderful I never felt it necessary to abort it, I just needed to test my theory =D
Is this a phenomenon you're familiar with or have heard of Shambles? Cause no one I have talked to face to face said they could do this. Though I don't know many people who do k...I could count them on 1 hand, and they don't do it the way I do it.
 
I don't think I could actually turn a full hole experience on or off although I can certainly deal with the outside world much easier on lower (but still high) doses than I could at first. I do find that the more time you spend exploring Ketworld the easier it is to navigate and you can guide it more along to the areas you want to explore to an extent. Of course other times you really get no say in the matter at all =D
 
I probably should have worded that better. I don't mean to say I could "hit an off switch in my brain" so to speak, and instantly be 100% sober, but whenever I do a line and I start to feel myself slipping into the hole I've learned how to pull myself out is what I mean.
But yes, the more time one spends in ketamineland, the more familiar one becomes with it and can navigate through it better each time.
 
I've been blessed with both R-ket and S-ket tonight <3

Will be barking upon a 25 R/75 S mix (not IM yet since I havent procured the needed equipment yet), I have high hopes for it :)

I must say the crystals look rather different from each other, S is more rounded sugary micro pellets while R is rather like shards or needles in appearance.
For educative purposes I will try to scan both samples under max resolution tomorrow so that we may see the difference :D

OK this mix is definately where I'm heading!!

there worst i evr had was at a rave when i had a LARGE smort straight out of a big wrap of Themis K50!! dunno how much but must have been atleast half a gram probably alot more! I Was seriously K holed for hours, maybe 3 before i noticed any decrease in affect. Though i was on my feet for a lot of the time, like a Robot but still with a thread however fine linked to reality!? I honestly thought that i had done it this time and i wasnt coming back! Eventually i ended up outside and somehow managed to call my friend in the rave and made him come and get me and take me home! Iv never had such a long K trip, normally 45 mins - 1 hour not 3-5 hours!!!!
 
i have only snorted ketamine (lots of times) but all my k-holes have been dark places never light/bright as some people explain.

Can you only reach light/bright places through IV or IM?

What is safer I.V or I.M? As im thinking of injecting as snorting K just seems pointless because of how blocked up my nose gets.

I only use on the weekend so wont have a problem with addiction.
 
I have a question. Ketamine is metabolised by the liver via cytochrome CYP3A4. When you inject/I.M. ketamine, you bypass first pass metabolism.

However, eventually the ketamine is metabolised by the liver and undergoes n-demethylation and turns into norketamine (20-30% potency of ketamine).

SO:
Would taking a CYP3A4 inhibitor prior to injecting ketamine produce a longer and more pronounced effect?

Has anyone ever taken cimetidine, piperine or grape fruit juice prior to ketamine injection?
 
It does, so please start off ridiculously low so that you may gauge the inhibitor-derived potentiation...
