Mushroom season 2009

Found ~70g's in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne a week or so ago, and didn't see any pins or anything around. Do you think any more will grow back at this point in the season, and if they do, how long would they take approx? Bit of rain coming up this week, which would help I assume.

2 weeks is enough for pins to form again if the parameters are good.

Rainfall isnt included in the parameters. Sure it helps but it grows without it. Sunshine, humidity and wind are the 3 key factors to initiate growth.

Once the primadoras grow 2-3 days later they mature.

Went picking west of melbourne on the weekend, it had been reasonably wet the few days beforehand, found a few but not many in comparison to weeks beforehand(mostly older ones found), is this because the season is coming to an end or other people have raided the spots..

or maybe it's been too cold??

I was wondering a few things and erowid wasn't much help.

1. i'm sensitive to drugs. I can usually have half an E and have a great time. Therefore what is considered a small dose of golden tops.

2. on such a dose what sort of effects should i feel. Is nausea common, what causes it, i.e. anti-histamine response?

3. if a quick come down is required what is the best way of achieving this. Opiates, alcohol, or benzos?

4. old mushrooms vs fresh ones?

1. Im presuming u have cubensis. Depends if u have a high tolerance to psilocybin/cin. I would start with min 2g if its ur first time. 3.5g is usually what i take for a full flown trip.

2. Nausea is very common after eating shrooms. Best thing is to eat ginger beforehand or take some anti nausea tablets if ur sensitive to it. Shrooms contain quite a number of inactives aswell as actives therefore ur body reacts to it with a nausea response.

3. Theres no real quick comedown trick. It over powers quite a number of drugs includin booze. Ive known quite a few people who drank alcohol before hand and were drunk and the mushrooms sobered them up. Im presuming Valium would help u to sleep afterwards but wouldnt effect the trip at all.

4. Fresh is always more potent. When the shrooms are dried they loose a small percentage of the alkaloids. They both taste rank but its easier to eat dried ones.

but ginger. I was just talking today about how much i hate ginger.

Is there anything that takes the edge off mushrooms? For example with LSD I find that they can have a edgy, jagged feel to them. Not massively, but just on the subtle edge. However a few beers later and bam the trip has a cotton wool feel to it.

won't be doing the mushies for awhile.....must find a window of 8-12 hours to do it in.

actually iv noticed high-er doses of temazepam or 20-25mg nitrazepam
goes quite nicely with shrooms without dulling it down much

i use it to keep away any nasty thoughts.

i made the mistake yestday of havin shrooms 5 hours after a seroquel
was prettyyyyyy wierd experience
