Recommend another good movie per post

Aye can't say I thought that Woody Allen film was much good, watchable but certainly not funny (was it supposed to be?). I just didn't really get the idea of the whole thing nor see the point in the purposely shaky camera work and choppy editing.

I wouldn't rush out to watch any of his films again.

Recommending this cuz it's just been released on DVD and I forgot how good it was.

It's kinda a gay movie, but don't build your hopes up thinking it's got loads of girl on girl action because that's not the case. T'is more of a psychological , intelligent, character driven film. Love love love Ally Sheedy, love love love Patricia Clarkson (she's always amazing whatever she's in imo) and Radha Mitchell is great too. Well worth a watch.

Anyone watched the dvd other the prisoner who called himself bronson?

Excellent film....I was a bit wary of the film after reading the book.

This will sound stupid, but the book was very repetitive? I suppose thats what comes of being in solitary for 25 years though. hehe

The film did manage to inject a lot of dark humour into it. It isn't an all out out film about how hard 'Bronson' was; it is a surreal look at his life.

See these 2 recently, neither are amazing but not bad...

Based on the Dennis Lehane novel about two Boston area detectives investigating a little girl's kidnapping, which ultimately turns into a crisis both professionally and personally.

Jim Jarmusch broadens his scope with this episodic tale of a night in the life of several Memphis, Tennessee, inhabitants who unknowingly find themselves lodging at the same hotel. The first episode, "Far from Yokohama," is about two Japanese teenagers (Youki Kudoh and Masatoshe Nagase) on a pilgrimage to the birthplace of rock and roll, Sun Studios, where Elvis Presley and Carl Perkins got their start. In the second story, "A Ghost," two strangers meet and become friends. One is an Italian tourist, Luisa (Nicoletta Braschi), who is on the way back to Rome in order to bury her husband; the other, Dee Dee (Elizabeth Bracco), has just dumped her British boyfriend, Johnny (Joe Strummer). During the middle of the night, Luisa is visited by the ghost of Elvis. "Lost in Space," the final segment, brings all the characters together briefly, as Johnny goes on a violent drinking spree with Dee Dee's brother (Steve Buscemi) and another friend (Rick Aviles). Throughout all of this, the hotel's night clerk (Screamin' Jay Hawkins) and bellboy (Cinque Lee) listen to the local radio and engage in aimless conversation. Jarmusch once again uses his distinct sense of humor to dispel cultural myths--this time it's the legend of Memphis--by placing an eclectic group of tourists into an unquestionably American environment.

I don't follow this thread in the slightest, in faec this may well be my first visit!

As a result these films have probably been mentioned before but...

The Business,
Fight Club
And for those of you into Anime and don't mins reading subtitles, the 'Bleach' films are good.

Obviously I have many more films that I like but the heading sayd one and I have already gone over that limit!

Yup. Excellent film that, Crackheid. I don't watch many films more than once but have watched that one a few times now - great stuff. Robert Downey Jr and Woody Harrelson are pure quality and even Kayak Reeves is watchable - wooden acting does a passable version of confusion it appears.

Can we talk about 1 off box sets here....thats like one long film?

If so, then Taken, by Stven Spielberg is absolutly FANTASTIC.

Sweet.

Sorry mate, I seem to keep pissing you and Evad off just lately.

On topic: All watch Taken!

Haha, cheers Shammy my good man, makes me feel better, I just seem to be getting slightly the wrong side of the rules this week!!
