i've dropped mine on soft mud heaps of times, that doesn't count! but only once, for real, on tarmac. i was going very slowly round a 90 degree bend next to a farm, and the road was covered in gravel. i misjudged the best line to take, changed direction over a bumpy/muddy bit, and went straight down. broken indicator light, bent brake pedal, some scratches. no damage to me but it was a bit of a shock just how HARD you hit the ground, even at very low speeds.

And then when I inquired about how much it cost me to have them install them for me they told me that with the cables they had to buy, the actual installation itself, and with the cost of the risers, I would be spending $360!!
