The High Dose LSD Appreciation Thread!

Saving this one from the cleanings.

Personally I like LSD at ALL doses. I'm kinda sensitive to psychedelics and I consider 250ug of LSD to be a high dose for me. I like getting to that point where you just let go of trying to control anything. Sometimes I'll be doing something on the floor and then after I'm done what I was doing I'll be too bewildered to get up so I'll just let go, flop down and lie there for a while. My thoughts then wander all over the place, lately I've been mostly getting thoughts about people I know and they seem to be the most profound. The feeling I get in that state in my upper chest is beautiful <3
 
If i can ever find any more acid i think i might drop about 4 hits....

i havent done acid in about 6 months...
 
I think the higher dose you take the less you are paranoid, for me anyway. When i take a low dose i am to concious of everything around me and people around me so if they aren't tripping i feel weird. But when i take a higher dose like 5 or 6 liquid drops i become mentally in a differnt world i don't notice whats going on around me. I have had pink floyd the wall tripps before, after staying up 3 days on meth and then eating a shitload of acid, not by choice( i was dosed at a fest unknowing until i already started tripping and the dude who did it showed me the vile,it was half gone)the dude put it in my drink becuase he thought i was sober and i drank it, i thought my pop tasted funny but didn't think nothing of it until an hour later wheneveryone started laughing, and this is what i remember after that.

MY camp was v.i.p and a motor home i sat in the bathroom for 2 or 3 hours thinking i was getting eletricuted(felt like shocks through my body) and then when i came out i sat and look out the open door and watched the lights from the stage and i seen people crawling on the ground and planes in the sky,lights flashing i thought i was in a war and bombs where going off but i was like paralyzed in my mind and could not move, people walking by where soldgers and everyone was wearing army clothes and helmets, people where calling my name and telling me to get up, but i could not move. The whole time i had this shocking feeling going through me, which felt so weird. When i finelly came to alittle i realizied i didn't know where i was at, somehow i walked around for six hours and didn't know it(which has never happened) i was at this old hippie familys tent becuase they seen me wander around by myself mumbling the british are coming(don't know why}.

I was still seeing some crazy shit, but aleast i was cohernt and could think alittle. I chilled with this hippie family a they talked me down and told me that i was back on earth and wanted to know what i ate and how much. I didn't know until later that day i ate a half of a vile and lucky to be alive. I knew the kid who gave me the acid and haven't seen him in years, but when i do i'm going to beat his ass and make him eat a bunch of cid. THAT my crazy acid story.
 
The glorious thing about LSD compared with the tryptamines, most phenethylamines and other ergoloids is the utter translucency of the experience--even at high doses, there are few if any peripheral sides and one's cognition remains completely intact. The downside with LSD is that is virtually impossible to know how much one is actually taking. I really have to wonder if my "high" dose experiences (with say, 8-10 'hits') were actually only in the 250 ug range. I would love to be able to measure out a completely certain dose of around 1 mg, that way I would know I had taken a truly high dose. With the psychedelic amphetamines like DOI or DOC, it is easy for me know if I am taking a mild, moderate or mindfuck dose.
 
I associate a high dose with things that aren't there appearing, and at times full-on synaesthesia. LOTS of rainbow effects and the weird "vibe" sensation. Also visuals that last 12+ hours and you gotta love the afterglow. The best part of a really (milligram) high dose is standing outside in the middle of a field on a summer evening. Either that or running around the background with a bong after the peak settles. High dose acid just pushes you into a full-on world where anything can happen! It's wonderful when physics stops working. If all else fails and keeping up is tough, just grab some headphones, a drink, maybe a bag of 'tato chips. The beauty of the high dose is that it performs a lot of the work for you, as long as you just "flow." Besides two vial washouts that were 4-6 hits (per person) of roughly 150ug, I've taken a couple 3-4 hit trips from the same batch and those experiences COMPLETELY altered my opinion of LSD.

if i can, i like to take at least 500ug. however, i have taken around 1000ug of pure lsd around 8 or 9 times. all of these were beautiful experiences. i have dosed exactly 34 times with lsd, and none of them were ever bad, many of them were extremely intense, but they were still good experiences. i've seen the universe rip a hole in itself and started spewing out all kinds of colors and objects (that was my first 1000ug trip, and also one that lasted for 2 days), i've flown through the universe and over strawberry fields (i was listening to the beatles and the music was the only thing getting me through the trip), and i've also seen an alien space craft hovering above my friends ranch, which was very frightening, but awesome nonetheless.

Well, if you get close to the sauce you'd know ;)

I had my first high dose during last week, 1.1mg of utter chaotic beauty, massive anxiety and euphoria or combined into a squidgly pattern of eternity rebounding of the walls of painted eyeball-teeth demons. Or past tense present wheels invented again fire discovered for the first time by a water goddess. Or something.
 
Is it possible to immerse yourself into a visual reality unlike the real world at all, like those psychedelic paintings, is it possible to just like, go into a world like that, no connection to reality, visually cause its all so crazy by a high dose of lsd?!
 
^Well kind of. On really high dose LSD, the exterior world becomes utterly alien and unrecognizable. I was walking down the sidewalk outside of my apartment complex on about 8-10 hits of strong acid once and the bricks were all rapidly changing colors and no two bricks were the same color at the same time. Every leaf in the foliage was oscillating between different shades of green, and I began to recognize elaborate symmetries between the individual leaves. A schoolbus was unloading children across the street, and the kids seemed to have like REALLY big heads and I just kinda stopped and was staring at these little big-headed kids...LOL I must have looked really creepy. :D Tripped out kid with marble pupils in a tie-dye standing on the sidewalk staring at a bunch of school children across the street LOL...

But if 100% fully immersive is what you're looking for I think DMT would be more up your alley.
 
I dunno, the whole idea of smoking a crack pipe is something I said I would never do.. And it's only like a couple minutes, yeah? I would like to go on an adventure in some sort of land that is totally cartoony and warped (mentally and visually) Like could you be in a room that you've been in before and just go in it and be like "what IS this hippopotamus room OF funk?!" lol I dunno, but by what you described that high dose lsd seems very great.
 
haha, that sound like someones idea of acid thats never done acid before. The crazy things they think lsd makes you see, and the "great videos and pictures" that would "look so cool on acid"
and its always something stupid, like a green box with a red circle.
Anyway, have we decided what a high dose is? In terms of tabs?

I've always had to resort to rough estimates, but I find taking 10+ hits of really good quality acid takes me somewhere that no other drug can....I LOVE lsd =D During the peak of a really profound trip I invariably find myself the victim of a powerful suggestion to take the whole sheet. It is only through a heroic inner struggle that I am able to reason with this powerful urge and even then I always end up taking another 4-8 hits. Anyone else get that uncontrollable urge to eat more on the peak of a powerful trip?

It's so hard to judge....the best acid I've ever had could produce a pretty profound trip that felt complete, with 2-3 hits. My guess is that it was around 100ug/hit, perhaps a bit higher. I ended up taking 16 hits over an 18hour period. I've also had acid that was surely no stronger than 40ug/hit :( The other thing is how quickly you build tolerance....I find if I trip twice in the same week I need a lot more the second time.

Probably because I've only tripped twice on acid and they were both 3 hits of not that good acid, I'm guessing it was like 200ug each trip, but I dont know.

On my second trip it was like this crazy infinite pattern with imbedded in everything in my vision, in a second layer of reality: Is this pattern the real reality? Is it only the real reality together? Or is this LSD just fuckin with me?! lol, seeing mini explosions in the sky on the come up. I think I have a small HPPD where I see these mini explosions when I look at a blank white thing..
 
I LOVE high doses! For me it's about 4-5 tabs at the moment. Wow!!

I can relate to so much of this, bricks are amazing! I saw space unfold in my brothers fence. <3
 
It takes me about one 10th the amount it used to take to get to the same place so I cant really take too much anymore.
After a 4 year break I bought some "bomb" lsd for my old school tripping buddy......lol
I bought it from a nurse who stressed I need be careful with it.

I called my tripping buddy on the phone after having taken almost none of it. These sweet tarts were absolutely retarded. So massively dosed that the shit was completely crystalized after a year of sitting around,(had been saturated) and it was stored very well.
All of a sudden I understand the caution that was advised and the funny "be careful smirk" on the hookup's face. It was 4 hits of the most serious shit for 10 bucks.(in other words, not exactly 4 hits)....................

We take psychedelics very seriously, and really know our shit.
Still when I talked to him I stressed that given the fact that he reacts kind of like I do these days he needs to be very careful, and if he takes it all, then god help him.
Im just really excited for him as he is by far my best buddy and a schizotypal madman genius.
He is really good at this stuff...lol

One of the last things I told him is that I really just dont want it to like, "hurt" him.(to stress the seriousness of the matter).
He understood. It was an emotional conversation.

Oh ya, and bricks and things look cool on high doses of lsd.

OK I agree experiences like walking around in a live Alex Grey -ish surrounding is a lot more serious than watching a movie,
but that particular movie on a twisted mix of chemicals is something I expect to get very interesting as well.
Rozza is right I think, that things that are trying to be trippy give off a prefab impression because that is not what true tripping is about.
True tripping IMO is seeing the most mundaine thing you can imagine and realizing with your whole being the absolute profundity of its very
existence.

On topic: my best trip ever was on 500 mic but I spread it out over hours - I got a very typical saturated sensation at that point, like I could
feel the acid getting absorbed in my throat like a buzzing plasma matter and me feeling like the ultimate me, travelling back and forth through
my lifes memories in high detail interspersed with all sorts of interconnected associations synthesizing into someplace sometime that never
actually happened but what truly feels like a vista of part of my internal world. That for me is high dose acid and i LOOOOVE IT !!!

That said, I also took around 600 mic once and I took it rather fast walking through an unknown city hoping I'd make it back (i know: why?!)
well I made it back home but then took alprazolam probably to smooth things out or something. Next thing I know it's 2 days later and my
friends and housemates tell me the most insane stories I've ever heard.

At 7 o'clock in the morning my neighbour wanted to use the toilet, opened the door and saw me standing right on it in the dark. My posture
was that of an airplane and I was making swooshing sounds obviously doing a barrel roll. He then proceeded to ask me if I was OK.
I gave him a quick glance and said "sure buddy!" and pulled the door back shut.

Next to the ridiculously crazy stuff apparently I had been doing all kinds of things that a person would do with completely different habits than
mine, which was pretty scary in retrospect. I feel good about my mental wellbeing but that has to be a transient psychotic episode, or at least
benzodiazepine retrograde amnesia. Screw that.

I had a really surreal LSD experience at a high dose, I didn't know it was such a high dose until I was tripping out hardcore. It was one of the more intense LSD exp's I've had, complete ego death, lots of visuals. It was more weird than any other trip I have ever had though.

Another LSD exp I had was over 24 hours long...can an LSD trip last 24 hours? It doesn't seem like it was LSD IMO, typically LSD doesn't go over 12 hours for me.
