Naked Wizard Taser Brawl At Coachella (VIDEO NSFW)

Was there a need to tase him in the neck? No. Was there a need to use a taser in the first place? No. Why do many people seem so complacent with the use of tasers? The poor guy is being hit with electricity in his fucking neck!

In the countries where I live/lived, i.e European countries - the police don't need tasers to arrest someone who's putting up a bit of resistence.

It couldn't have been that cold. I remember seeing a bunch of people wearing t-shirts, some even less.

As for what happened, it was the wizard's fault. Even if you don't agree with what the cops are doing, you comply and do not resist. Resisting leads to shit like that.

i actually got pretty annoyed with everyone else bashing the cops - they were pretty damn tolerant. you can tell they didnt want to arrest the guy. i'm sure if it wasnt a music festival, they wouldve arrested him immediately with no question.

As much as I would like to think that this guy in the video is asshole attention whore, there is something that is far more frighting than his lil' peck. That fact that we live in a time where we are completely complacent when a non-violent action produces an extremely violent re-action and everyone blames the victim. I am not looking forward for the future.

if the thousands of people standing around this guy didnt care enough to rush those cops and stomp them into the ground, then why should I give half a shit? Those cops were outnumbered 1,000 to one and no one did shit. Nothing.

the whole incident, from start to finish, is unorganized and chaotic and pointless. And lol @ the guy shouting "the whole world is watching." What is that even supposed to mean?

its a cops job to enforce the law. they did their jobs and they did it very nicely.

That pretty much sums it up.

The man was not complacent. He was taunting the police despite given about 12 chances to avoid arrest in a situation in which he could have been immediately arrested in the first place. Then he struggled against them when they tried to get his hands behind his back. Only on bluelight could this guy be painted as a victim. What else could they have done? Bash his head in with billyclub? I think I'd rather be tased.
 
I don't think the cops did anything wrong in that. They first politely asked him to put his clothes back on, then warned him repeatedly before deciding to arrest him. He resisted arrest, and the escalated the situation appropriately imo.

That shit was intense, i half expected the crowd to hold the pig down & tase his ass for minutes straight as he did to the dumbledoor *the wizard*.

i have mixed opinions...

on one hand, in my personal opinion if that guy is just chillin and happens to be naked...as long as hes not harassing anyone or being a creepy tool than i dont have any qualms with a little public nudity...its a music festival with a shit ton of drugs, music and supposedly a "freer" mindset or whatever than the general population. if this guy was in a shopping mall or something its a WAAAAY different story...its all about context.

on the other hand, the cops were being pretty freaking tolerant for a while. you could tell the guy was really fucked up and they were asking nicely to put his clothes back on. i just feel sad/dissapointed that they had to use violence to arrest him...yes he was "resisting" but laying down a pile driver on his stomach? and he like reacted to getting the breath knocked out of him by moving forward and kinda standing up, then they tased his ass.

i personally wouldnt have done anything to stop this guy havin a good time in the first place, but if i made up my mind to arrest him i wouldnt have used violence against him...just stay cool, keep on trying to arrest him peacefully and talk him down off his trip or whatever.


and the "whole world is watching" guy is a dumbass.
 
i can guarantee the rest of the world (that has time/money to watch this crap of course) is terrified at the idea that a guy had to be fucking beaten and tasered for being naked at a hippy festival. key words: rest of the world. americans seem to get off on their good ol police force's ability to turn from silky smooth to ass-kickin' job-doers
 
The cops could have just led him away. There were 3 of them. There's no need to drop him on his stomach to cuff him behind the back. There's no need to tase him either. Cops just get a hard on being aggressive and putting somebody down.
 
prime example of excessive force. the dude seem to be completely out of his head so, i can appreciate the cops' situation in dealing with this guy. I mean who uses a taser on a wizard, honestly? ;)
