Mushroom season 2009

Can anyone help me out with some info on hunting P. Subaeruginosa? What am i looking for...sort of forest walks, or pop down the local national park on a rainy day? Only ever picked from paddocks and would really like to try and find some of these this season. I'm in SEQ also if that matters..

Wrong climate for wood loving winter species

P. Subaeruginosa is a southern Australian autumn/winter shroom.

Psilocybin was my first trip and I have tripped more on it than any hallucinogen, although these days I prefer LSD, oral DMT, or Mescaline.

It's been over a year since my last psilocybin trip. It's very introspective, and I tend to worry alot. I guess its time for another psilocybin trip though, lightly.

Well i'll be...

Nice Sustanon :D
I have travelled to the South West of WA before in search, but only ever found non active. Even still, it is totally awesome just chilling walking through forests and examining the plants around me :) I am normally not the hippie type but it makes me really happy. Especially after it has just rained and is humid and cool.

i know exactly what you mean, the misty forest of south west WA when mushie picking is absolutely beautiful, one of the best trips down south ive had,

Nice pic Psilo, where are you form? Also - what mushies are they...by the looks of it its daytime? what time do those mushies hang around till?

I'm from Australia

They are Subs

Yes, it is day time

That last question is a doozy! Unless you mean time of year which is August/September...

I'm here to dispell myths so here goes...

Amazingly, they hang around all day. YES, ALL DAY and into the night.

There is no "time of day" to find shrooms, that my friend is bullshit spread to you by those without a clue.

It takes many days for the fruiting body to reach maturity and they can be found all day and throughout the night. I enjoy night hunts (preferably tripping on LSD) with a torch.

I have crossed paths with so many people over the years who say "X" time of day is best for for picking or the only time you will find mushies.

You might aswell believe they contain strychnine that builds up in your spinal fluid hahahaha

I actually hear the latter quite a bit funnily enough

The early bird gets the worm ;)

It is funny. Do people really think they dissapear at a certain time of the day then pop back up? lol

when does the nsw season kick off, preferably around Sydney?

also, is hunting in the blue mountains any good? might give it a shot with a few buddies when the weather is right.

I agree that in the city you may want to get in early but in my parts there's no one else picking so i go when i feel like it.

Sunlight breaks down the psilocybin so shrooms that are in the sun for a few days tend to be less potent. Another reason to hunt in the morning if your patches are out in the open.

MASSIVE RAIN EVENT HEADING OUR WAY

The effects of the incoming rain wont be seen untill late next week so don't get too keen to rush out and hunt because you'll get cold, wet and miserable for nothing.

S.E Melb should be cranking by friday with mid teen highs forecast and icy cold nights.

Remember it normally takes 3-5 days after major rain events for patches to start pinning.

Weather dependent

The only tip i'll give is pine plantations in mountainous area's.

The altitude tends to make up for the northerly factor

Wait till june and you're in with a chance but remember you can spend hours walking around and come up empty handed.

its only good if you know what your doing... what to look for, where to look for it etc.
i know idiots who have ventured up there already thinking they are gonna hit the jackpot, find the wrong shroom's and try sell them to people at extreme prices :X
fucking drug dealers. DONT SELL SHROOMS.
