Will 1mg of Sub block......

im obviously aware that sub blocks most effects of traditional opioids, but im curious how much of a blocking effect 1mg will create. 1mg is about the lowest dose of sub that will "hold me". it will JUST stave off withdrawal for some time, but i will feel no other effects from the sub. so, if one were to take this 1mg of sub, and dose their normal dose of opiates a few hours later, will there still be a large blocking effect at this low dose? thanks-DG

yea man subs work GREAT for me i dose 150mg of oc a day not as high as many but still withdraw..and 1 2mg sub makes me normal..i guess im lucky

but also i get SERIOUSLY depressed when i come off any opiate but the subs make me 80% better with the depression
 
suboxone and decreased libido

i take 1/4 of a 2mg suboxone pill each morning (0.5/0.125mg) a day. would this be a reason for decreased libido? does anyone else on suboxone notice the same decrease in libido as with other opiates/opioids?
 
I've never had this problem with buprenorphine, compared to other opioids. Are you new to it ? Do you use it for maintenance ? Or recreationally ?
 
no way, not in my house

my and my husband both kicked dope with sub and once we transferred to sub both of our libidos and sensitivities almost right away increased like 1000%. On dope he had a hard time finishing, on sub he would cum in like seconds/minutes in the beginning, same with me, we just couldn't help it and we had sex all the time once starting sub just like before we got into dope

so for me and him sex was pretty much the same as if we didn't do any drugs, definitely no libido decrease or problems with orgasm
 
When I first started taking Sub, I didn't notice any sexual side effects. But after about 6 weeks, I had trouble maintaining an erection (which never happened to me before) and taking forever to cum. Not to mention a huge drop in testosterone in general.

So I took a break from Sub for a while, though I wouldn't recommend that.
 
I notice a slight decrease in libido.

It wasn't really evident to me when I was on it for maintainence, UNTIL I started tapering down. As I lowered my dosage, it came roaring back!

Would just walk around campus in utter amazement.
 
nope, on suboxone i had no decreased libido at all. on heroin tho, i couldn't get off for the life of me, getting hard wasn't hard tho.
 
im on subs now, back when i was on OC and shit, i could have sex like a pornstar for hours. Then when i got on suboxone, that slowly started to fade away. I come in like 5 minutes now, and i still take 3-4mg of sub a day. It sucks. I wish i could last longer, its like it made me have premature ejac or something. ehh i dunno. i guess i can still cum and thats the good thing.
 
I have heard some people, using suboxone as a life long plan. I have a question, If using opioids continuously increases tolerance and you need more and more. And then the ceiling effect is 32 mg. Then what happens when you keep increasing dose to 32 millgram... Then what is the doc's plan when thats not doing anything. Suboxone has saved my life, and I just dont know what is gonna happen when 32 mg isnt doing anything. I am about 20mg/day 2 and a half. What is the doctors plan, for people who use it for the rest of their life. Thank you.
 
Suboxone expiration date?

Hey guys I tried a search but couldn't find anything

I got my first scrip for sub on 12/14/08 i ended up lasting 13 days before relapsing. Now its 3/1/09 and I am starting my medication again however I have not gone back to my doctor and I am planning on using the 18 8mg subs for a 2 month taper plan. Here's the question the expiration date on my subs say 3/10. Do you think they're gonna be crap after that date? I don't really want to go pay150$ for the trip to the doc and 200 for my scrip when I could just use these. But if it's not safe/effective i will :\

lol dont worry about 32 milligrams NOT doing anything. lol thats a way high dose...u cud drop down to 8 and itll still DO something. well that goes for most people lol. read around and...using it for the rest of there life..i mean..thats what people plan sometimes but you should come off of it sooner or later as long term effects arent known yet (atleast i dont think there are, ive read people whove been out it since it came out which is over 10 years ago i think, well there teeth have been efffected, they say because of the naaloxene in the pill) but anyways....a lifelong plan i mean...the doctors plan goes by how your body feels. ususally people drop down to 4 millirams and its comfortable there after that it gets rocky. feel free 2 use the search engine and see peoples suboxones stories.
 
welcome to bluelight,

the pills will be fine. basically everything has an expiry date on it now. the chemical will definitely stay stable for some years if it is stored in a cool, dry place and not exposed to sun and heat.

i know you're new here but please use the search engine next time. there's a thread specifically dedicated to suboxone/buprenorphine where this type of question goes.
