Codeine Extraction

Hi All,

just throught I would put my 2 cents in here since I have done so many CWEs over the last year haha

I get cheap brand hereby refered to as "P+" (which is 12.8mg codeine, 200mg ibuprofen) always the large box - get 2 full doses of about 500mg codeine

I don't bother crushing the pills anymore since its too messy, i put all the pills (intact) into a 1.25L soft drink bottle (obviously that has been cleaned) and put like 250-500ml of water in

then I just shake the bottle until I can see that there are no solids left

then i get 3-4 tall glasses, for each glass i get a LARGE coffee filter (ie 10-12 cup size), put it in the top of the glass and wet it

then i pour the contents of the soft drink bottle evenly (or depending on the size of the glass) into each glass

I don't spill anything using this method so I stick to this one now

I always get reallly high
 
I can't remember the last time I used anything other then P+. The largest box gives me 3 doses at 25pills each. I use 2 coffee filters and glasses.

Just curious brisvegas have you tried spinning your bottle around really fast before filtering to act as a centrafuge and have all the solids stick to the bottom?

Ibprofen taste nicer :P. Codeine gets me quite high really. I have to be careful that I don't start sending emails to girls telling them how I think there really beautiful and really great chicks. :P
 
lol some of you guys crack me up with your methods, i mean wtf, really

1. 60 TABLETS, PUT THEM IN THE GLASS.
2. POUR 180MG OF COLD WATER ON THEM.
3. PUT THEM IN TEH FREEZER.
4. TAKE A STRAW AND STIR UNTIL 100% WHITE LIQUID.
5. POUR INTO SUNTHANG WITH A FILTER.
6. DRANK.

Is it just me or is 250-500ml water still going to have alot of ibuprofen in it?


Ok i don't know what i've done. i filtered about 18 pills in 50 ml water, ive done it before no problems, but this time im now only left with about 15ml of water, i tasted a drop and it was insanely sour, do you think i've lost alot of codeine or is it just very very concentrated?


Yes i spelt codeine wrong, i was in a hurry :p
 
Just thought everyone might like to know that C.O. have ibuprofen/codeine tablets out now to compete with the big brand boys. Haven't tried a CWE yet but they look smaller than panafen plus and were much cheaper than N+.

200mg ibuprofen / 12.8mg codeine
 
What is the opinion of CWE with Panadeine Forte? I have a massively low tolerance to codeine, 60mg i'm in the early euphoric stages and 90mg and i'm as high as a kite. Would there be any long term affects if i just downed 2 or 3 PF periodically (definately not daily), is say 2500-3000mg of APAP a week going to kill my liver?
 
Guys, I have a question regarding Codeine filtration. I was wondering if using a cafetiere (french press) filter would effectively filter the Paracetamol out of the dissolved cocodamol.

Depends how many microns it filters, does the filter specify? Basically if the solution is not transparent then it's not effective.
 
Absolutely not then, 1,000 microns wide is very big 1mm infact, you would probably end up with 90% of the sludge going through the filter.

edit: Even a cheap nasty coffee filter is about 20 microns wide. I would be aiming for a 1 micron filter for effective safe filtration.
 
I've been interested in this for quite a while, even back when the splitable N+ were around just never actually did it. So I tried it with my partner for my first time last night.

Finished product was a pretty much clear liquid. I used one coffee filter, with around 60ml water and 24 x 10/500 and 3 x 8/10(Codine/ Paracetamol).

I used cold fridge water and while it was filtering I let it sit in the fridge.

After letting it sit for about 60mins there still seemed like quite a bit of mositure in the glump but I wasn't really concened with getting my best bang for buck out of it.

I also took 2x10mg Pherengan 30mins before.

Drank half mixture each, 132mg (minus my crappy procedure).

Ate dinner.

Cuddled up on the couch in front of the TV and after about 2 hours both of us had trouble keeping our eyes open and just laid their with our eyes closed very comfortable.

Then went to bed and fell asleep quite easy (not that I normally have troubles).

In all I enjoyed it but will probably stick to my wine or beer in the evenings.

Next time I would like to try it when I'm not so tired already. Perhaps I'll also do a bigger dose.

One thing I did learn was to completely wet the filter not just the centre of it, it's been way to long since senior chem.

Hey, I got 24 x 12.8mg Codeine tablets that also contain 200mg Ibuprofen as the other active ingredients. What's the chance of me doing a successful first time Cold Water Wash on these badboys today?

BTW, with toxicity to Paracetomol, I can take 4 x 500mg tablets at once, and then another 4 x 500mg tablets around 1 hour later, and I just get really jittery. I can survive the dose, and I recently had a liver test done when coming of diazepam for good, so I guess I can handle that shit, but you're never safe right? One day, could be peachy, next day, I'm getting a grave dug out for me.

Just for us lazy fuckers, does mixing Ibuprofen with Paracetomol cause a greater risk of liver failure?
 
Personally I don't see any recreational value in Codiene; I may take 45mg for a bad hangover. But I'm curious why cold water is used to extract rather than grain alcohol, as opiates are generally far more soluble in alcohol than water.
 
As the Paracetamol is less soluble in cold water thus less of it in your final solution.

Ok the problem is we have a mixture of paracetamol and codeine, we want to seperate this mixture.

If you use alcohol both the paracetamol and codeine dissolve hence we have achieved nothing. If we use cold water the codeine dissolves completely and a very small amount of paracetamol dissolves hence we can separate the two.

Also regarding opiates being more soluble in alcohol than water, I think this is true however we can dissolve almost 1gram of codeine in 2.3ml of water, so it's easily soluble enough to not worry about reaching saturation.

I doubt anyone sees the recreational value in 45mg of codeine, most people here are taking 200-500mg.
 
I wouldn't bother using the ibu ones for CWE,
IME they are frustrating and tedious for crushing, filtering and pouring.
CoCo 8/500 crush easily, dissolve well, the binders aren't tiny particulates, so it filters faster and you get a clearer solution (the clearest IME).
also, a pack of 32 (i find is an OK dose for me) costs less than a pint of beer,
AND OMG LOOK - CoCo for 49p!?!?

also, it is not necessary to use a freezer, unless you live in a country where the cold tap does not produce cold water.
