Codeine Extraction

Just use cold water straight away, no need for warm water, also use two coffee filters and leave it to filter slowly. Water wise its already been mentioned in this thread, but for say 50 tablets anywhere from 50-200ml. The less you use the less paracetamol you will get, but it will also reduce how much codeine you get, vice versa for a larger volume of water. With brands it totally depends what country you are in, cheaper the better really, also make sure that codeine and paracetamol are the only ingredients. If its got doxylamine or something else in it you could be putting yourself at risk.

Also make sure you have some anti-histamines on hand in case you find you are overly allergic to codeine, most people are to some extent (histamine release which causes itchies, redness and if severe fluid in the lungs). Probably highly unlikely, but certainly not impossible.

What do you mean by filter slowly? I don't really get it lol.

I will be using 24 tablets all having around 10mg Codeine I believe.
 
Brand doesn't really make a difference as far as I can tell, as long as it only contains paracetemol/codeine, just get what's cheapest. Try and get it in tablet form, not caplet form, unless you plan on crushing it, since I've found that the tablets dissolve a lot faster.

By filter slowly, he means to just put it in the coffee filter and let it drain out until all the liquid is in your cup.

Probably not a big deal, but maybe try out 160mg first and see how that goes? Just in the interest of harm reduction, 240 isn't a huge dose but it's fairly high for someone with no tolerance.

Also just to reiterate my point early in the thread, make sure you don't drink it on an empty stomach.
 
Every time I've done it on an empty stomach I've had excruciating nausea, to the point where it completely kills the high for me. And I'd say 'shitloads' is a bit of an exagguration. He can try it if he likes I guess.
 
I always feel revolting when i have codeine on an empty stomach. Granted it's the only drug i use recreationally and i have very low tolerance, but if i take it on an empty stomach around 30 minutes later the nausea kicks in and i feel crap for a number of hours.

I find if i have a moderate snack just before it negates the nausea but as the euphoria kicks in i get incredibly hungry!

I have only recently started CWE as i am presecribed Panadeine Forte so i have never worried about it. Normally just took 2 tablets as needed, 60mg. I keep hearing stories of people doing 400mg plus and i just can't imagine it. My first CWE i aimed for 120mg knowing that some would be lost in the process, i got a crystal clear filtrate first time and i was happy with myself, but i barely felt a thing, keeping in mind that 2 PF's usually has a moderate effect on me.

Since then i have done a few more CWE's and i positive i'm doing the process correctly and have even done a couple of around 200mg which is huge for me, but it still doesn't give me the same euphoria that even 2 normal PF's gives me.

What the hell am i doing wrong or is it normal to lose a substantial amount of codeine in the process?
 
^ It's not normal to lose a huge amount. Your usual dose of your Rx'd codeine is 60mg, and you say your attempting 120mg, and even up to 200mg; if you're not feeling anything then you are losing in excess of 50% and something is wrong. What kind of filter are you using? What brand are you performing the CWE on?
 
ive given up on using codeine weekly now. after about 6 months the high is reduced heaps and basically all i get is an itch (and i filter 40 10mg tablets). also was gettin random nausea the day after and found sex drive and performence was decreased. havent touched codeine for about a month and a half and sex life has improved immensly
 
filtered 210mg of codeine the other day. Didn't feel much tbh. But while I was having a ciggie it was definitely better. I might try around 400mg and see how that goes.
 
Im yet the find CWE any beneficial at all. As somone who used to have a oxycodone problem(clean for 2 months) and currently on ssri,snri I suspect i may need well over 240mg which i have tried a few times.
 
I just tried a CWE with Nurofen Plus tablets, and it came out a thick paste, and when filtered I got hardly any liquid at all, much less than I started with.

Here's what I did:
Split 15 tablets in half (not fully crushed)
Dissolved in ice water (about 2x as much water as pill volume)
When dissolved, I put the mixture in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes
Took it out, filtered through a wet coffee filter.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this how it's supposed to turn out? I don't feel any effects, and the dose should've been around 180 mg.

Edit: I shouldn't really have any tolerance, my only recent opiate experience being a failed CWE a couple nights ago.
 
Today i got up and split 10 Panadeine tabs into a cup and crushed it.

Filtered it through a napkin and go a little mirky water but maily clean with all gunk up the top.

Felt a bit of a warm buzz but not much, got home about 12 hours later and filtered 17 Chemists Own through 30mL of nearly freezing water and filtered through two wet coffee filters. I got not as much water then I started with and at the top of the filter was heaps of gunk and the water was pretty clear, I drank it about 1 and half hours ago and i cant feel anything how come ?
 
i always aimed to get 400mg of codeine which is meant to be the ceiling dose and i only managed to obtain a nice but mild buzz on only a handfull of occasions out of many. too subtle a high to be worth the cost and effort imo

I'm using pretty thick cloth though (an old army shirt of all things) that gets the solution clear first go, with just the last few squeezed drops being white-ish.

no one has answered my questions yet. I wish i still wokred with access to Mass spec or HPLC
 
I was thinking, I have a big glob of binder and paracetamol here, would it be possible to turn the paracetamol into crystals ?
