you'll have to teach me that sometime, imagine it could be quite handy when i want to disappear off the radar for a few weeks, as i often tend to.

am getting quite well schooled in the dark domestic arts now lol, still can't work the fucking washing machine though. everything else i've got down though
 
i don't think i've ever guffawed. i did however go through a particularly disturbing period of chuckling last november.

late snoo, was up at stables yesterday or the day before and the sunset was really pretty. also the cat has been moved up from the old stables and as soon as he saw me he wouldn't leave me alone <3

also just got a text off my ex thanking me for her birthday card which made me smile cos i haven't spoken to her much in't past week and i wasn't sure it'd get there on time
 
best friend-related snooage today. i randomly popped in for a quick cup of coffee and stayed about 6 hours, talking shit and fannying about on his laptop. :)

i then very cheekily reminded him of his promise last year to give me this yellow Art Deco teapot i'd admired for ages. he had forgotten all about it. and as an added bonus, he also gave me the lovely Denby one as well for actually making tea with. :)

the yellow one is from around 1920-ish. isn't it just fabulous, dahlings? :D

solid mahogany Victorian era old skool organ. it's been in his house for decades (it used to belong to his father), but he'll be clearing a lot of stuff out when this room gets renovated. i would be absolutely gutted to see it going away for auction and them only getting a pittance for it (the antiques trade is dying on its arse at the moment), so after offering him something for it he said he would give it to me for nothing as an engagement or wedding present in the future. i might have a bit of a wait, so he better look after my baby! :D

it would look rather ridiculous in my flat though. need a new house ASAP. ;)

bonus points: SPRINGFIELD!!! =D
 
Way back in the times when everything was in black and white, I managed to aquire a similar instrument from my school.

The master ostensibly in charge of the Music Room (not a music teacher ~ subjects such as music and art were scorned 8)) asked that I arrange for it to be collected discreetly.

My father was working in Tilbury Docks at the time and asked the transport manager of the firm he worked for to arrange to collect it.

So, what did he send?

A fucking forty-foot artic' 8)=D

yes, i suspect there will be some logistical issues to overcome when/if it ever happens! cranes and stuff, lol. =D

luckily we have access to such things in our line of work. ;)

No cooking, had fish and chips last night! ;)

Snow has all gone, but it's still bloney freezing. So i'm not too gutted to be going to Cyprus tonight!
 
Felix, just pop round his crib in a few months time and remind him that he said you could have it for free whenever you fancied. Then remove from his property, along with his DVD player. If you need to, just resort to "These are not the droids you are looking for" type actions. :)

Your mate seems to have an interesting collection of "stuff"?
 
aye, his dad was an antiques dealer on the side until he retired, so some of the rooms in the house (it's an old school with a schoolhouse attached) are still jam packed with lovely old stuff. but it's gradually getting cleared out, and heartbreaking to see his dad getting fuck all for a lot of it. sometimes not even worth the petrol to take it to places...
 
wahay :D

mine was seeing the new(ish) foal today and him sniffing my hoodie and face and licking my hand instead of running away when anyone goes near him like he used to. he's the cutest little thing, i need photos.
