Snoo! Part Two!!

ooh possibly!

mum's just told me we've got a new pony up at the stables. he's only nine months old <3 can't wait to go see him!

I dodn't know you had horses Snolly. What do you have? I have 2 myself!

My snoo today is that I saved my girlfriends house from flooding yesterday! Her mom left a tap running to fill up a bucket and when I got there, there was about an inch of water over the ground

yeah :D we've got one highland pony called louie, though have had a few others over the years. he's lovely but only young so prone to acting out a bit when he doesn't get his own way ;) what've you got?

I have a 17.1 hannovarian gelding, 12 years old and a 16.1 dutch warmblood, 7 years old who is my new project (the one who broke my ribs!)

oh ouch, i remember reading about that, always scares me a bit when i ride! couldn't imagine having a horses around 17h, are they harder to handle? i'm the only person at the yard who has to use a mounting block still, tis a bit embarrassing as louie is only around 14h. only just started getting into it though, tis my excuse :D

No not hard to handle at all. They are both very well educated in hand and very respectful. I don't do a lot of work with them on the ground (I walk with sticks so kind of hard) so they really have to respect me when I do stuff with them and they do. I can do anything with them really it just tales me AGES!!

To school, my old boy is lovely. in the 5 years I have had him I have fallen off him only once. he is working probably at advanced medium level, he does struggle with the changes though but his lateral work is second to none. Due to his size you would have thought I would have problems getting him around some of the intricate movements but he is very well schooled and can do them :)

My young boy is just that, young and a bit of a worrier. He wants to please but gets confused at the moment because my aids are slightly different to that of an able bodied rider but he just needs time I think (hope!).

EDIT: I sometimes think that ponies are worse behaved than bigger horses and tend to have more attitude. Its probably the same as dogs in some ways, as in Jack Russells are fiestly little shits!!

Ah sounds like they know who's boss then ;) I guess them being older helps too. Think you're right about ponies having more attitude, the one's I've met since I've been involved with our pony definitely are. Your younger one sounds a little like ours I think, though he doesn't have any different riding conditions to adapt to, he just gets a little puzzled sometimes <3 my sister does dressage with him and says he's very well behaved and doesn't often make mistakes. Just when he's stabled that he acts up!

Going up in an hour to see the little'un, can't wait :D:D

yeh he gets confused with the able bodied riders too so he just needs time.

Give your new one a polo from me!

SHIT, BOLLOCKS, FUCK. Damn my inability to type right when I am trying to spread my AIDS to unexpected members of the community. Now I missed Treacle and got his African half brother Reacle!

And yes Felix, you got the AIDS, and not the human kind....the horse kind which is twice as dirty!

The other day I was cheerfully pedalling up a steep incline when my gears slipped from first to seventh, causing me to fall gracefully to the ground rapidly followed by the bike! I picked myself up and said a few "words of thanks", like fucking bastard etc, then fixed the problem. Then I noticed four horses ( maybe apocalytic breed I'm not sure) looking at me. So I decided to go & stroke them so as to dissipate my worsening mood. As I stood there the boldest horse put its nose right against mine & started sort of inhaling my breath, so I did it back - it kind of strangely pleasant!
