Sexual Preferences vs "Transphobia"

Turning off notifications for this thread and replies, I've never seen people argue so much against something that has zero impact on their lives, beyond pathetic. Jesus fucking christ... People are having the government attack them for no reason at all, and low lifes feel the need to pile on even more, some humans are such fucking monsters.

your knowledge is your responsibility

I hate peple that shoose to be ignorant

I hate when people walk around like they're the smartest, most enlightened and tolerant people in the room when the exact opposite is true. :)

I'm gay, but I would never date or sleep with a trans woman because I don't like the female look, I'm not attracted to women. I can find women beautiful & good looking in the objective sense, but no sexual arousal or anything by it. If I were attracted to the way women look, I wouldn't be gay ion the first place. So it kind of irks me some times when people say that straight men are "gay" if they're into transwomen. Cause that would be implying that gay men find women sexually attractive.... Which we do not. You could maybe argue that the person is 'bisexual'. But if you're fully "gay", you're not gonna be attracted to any one that looks like a woman.

And I'm not sure I could date or be with a transman either, because I just don't like vaginas at all. It's a turn off.
But I've seen transmen who look more masculine & butch than I do! And more power to em! I just couldn't do it.

I'm not transphobic though, I don't give a shit & fully support whatever anyone wants to do with their body. I just expect the same respect back when I say I only want to sleep with biological men, who look like men.

Shit, even then I can't stand men half the time anyway. lol I've been with so many men in my lifetime & so many of them turned out to be jerks & assholes, that now I have a weird "complex", where I "hate" (kind of a strong word, but I digress) men but find some of them attractive at the same time. lol but because of so many negative experiences, I can look at a guy & no matter how hot he is, my brain automatically assumes he's probably some cold-hearted jerk who can't keep it in his pants. So there's that..

Ah, I see what you're saying. Sorry for my ignorance

And I mean we’re not talking about vulgar fetishization here, why does it disgust you so for someone to like what they like? Why is it not okay for them but okay for you?

Your attitude towards people is the same mindset that you weaponize against others. Make it make sense.
why do I think it isn't ok for someone to racially fetishize and mistreat asian women?...
If I really have to explain it to you, you clearly have bigger problems than not understanding that

And I'm not weaponizing anything. I'm saying that fetishizing people for their identity is gross, as is being obsessed with what genitals someone was born with.

The conversation here is mainly focusing on people who have had sexual reassigment surgery (so trans men with fully functioning penises and trans women with fully functioning vaginas)
Some people here are really insistent that they still wouldn't be attracted to people with the genitals they prefer but oddly refuse to specify why beyond "Do I really have to spell it out?" (because they don't want to say the quiet part - transphobia - out loud)

Obviously your friend (former) had some issue because why would someone talk about their fetish so much that it becomes a social issue, I mean… whatever my sexual preferences are, they’re not something I’d bring up all the time in casual conversation by any means. Again, some things are meant to be somewhat private right?

And when did you say mistreat? I didn’t see that. Obviously if he wants to abuse them that’s absolutely fucked off.

I just mean if some white dude really likes black chicks. Or vice versa. And they don’t talk about it all the fucking time like it’s the meaning of life… why is that an issue?
as is being obsessed with what genitals someone was born with.
Who is obsessed?

Why is it that you don’t like men? You don’t know, it’s just something you don’t like. What’s wrong with that?

I’m aware that you don’t mind other mtf women, but for a second let’s just assume you find all dicks disgusting no matter the person attached. Is that phobic? Is that something worthy of fussing about because now you don’t want to fuck all of human kind?

Like I’m a skinny ass dude. I never want to have sex with an obese woman. No way no how. I find it disgusting. Not to mention they could literally crush me. Is that wrong? I think not. I find unhealthiness unappealing. Some skinny dudes like that. I know quite a few chubby chasers lol. More power to them.
And I'm not weaponizing anything.
am I misunderstanding? Have you not expressed what amounts to disgust and hate for anyone who doesn’t conform to your standards of who they should want to have sex with?

My issue is with people who rule out trans people who’ve had “the surgery” solely because they are trans.
I’ve been pretty consistent on that and think genital preferences are fine.

Same here as a skinny person. But body type is not a characteristic someone is born with or something they cannot control like ethnicity. It also is something that logically affects attraction, whereas I don’t see the logic for white people not wanting to fuck black people or being way too into Asians - it just feels like racism.

Quite the opposite - read my older posts in this thread (e.g. this quote)
I can think that a preference is fucked up and still have been very clear that I respect someone’s right to have a preference as long as everyone involved is a consenting adult.
You can have whatever preference you want, and maybe it is transphobic or racist or whatever, and that is still your right to have that preference.
There are plenty of people who won’t/only will fuck people of a certain race or won’t fuck trans people who have had SRS or go seek out adults that look super young/look genuinely underage or want to fuck people 3x their age.
People are welcome to have weird as fuck preferences, even if they are bigoted preferences.
Someone else can think they are gross or weird as fuck but as long as everyone involved is a consenting adult, it is whatever.
That still doesn’t change the fact that said preference may be transphobic or racist or whatever.

Okay. But your average heterosexual cis gender person still won’t want to be with someone who has fully transitioned. And I simply don’t feel that is transphobic. It’s a gut reaction.
whereas I don’t see the logic for white people not wanting to fuck black people or being way too into Asians - it just feels like racism.
okay but let’s say it’s not a skin color/racial feature thing. Like growing up in an urban area I did not like black women. But I do now, living in the sticks. The reason for this is cultural I’ve realized and wasn’t something I thought my way through. I woke up one day and I had crushes on black girls finally.

Culturally I don’t like urban people. If a white chick was super urban and used urban slang I would also not be interested.

I used to feel awkward as fuck being the only white person somewhere. But again this was always in urban settings. Often now I find myself the only white person in situations and I have no weird feelings anymore, in fact it was quite a while before I even realized I was the only white person in said situations, years in fact. This is because culturally I now share interests and slang and background with said folks.

So I’m of the opinion that if someone dislikes someone solely because of skin color, that’s fucked, yes. Definitely racist, to assume everything about a person without knowing them really. But if it’s just because they've never met someone that they could like because of the prevailing culture of that area, is that really racist?

And on top of that is it really racist if someone specifically likes an ethnicity/culture? Is it disgusting to be a weeaboo? Arguably strange, yes, but if you’re into that and you find some Asian chick who likes you too and you don’t mistreat them then what’s the harm? Is that even mildly racist?

The whole of life does not in fact have to be filtered through ‘woke’ tinted glasses.

And no offense, but in some of the posts from four years ago you still identified as a male. You didn’t even know yourself all the way through yet. Not exactly wanting to extrapolate from that considering it might not line up with how you currently think.

I think that we have to agree to disagree.
I cannot wrap my head around how that gut reaction comes from anything but treating a trans person differently and not truely seeing them as the gender they identify as.

I am referring to my position from the past month or so, to be clear. I forgot how old this thread was.
