Okay, sorry if I am backtracking a bit --- as far as science based answers go is there not "Traditional" physics (lack of jargon) which is 11 dimensions and than 'quantum' physics which assume 12 dimensions?
"traditional" physics is 4 dimensions, this includes Newton, Einstein, and the standard model, even quantum mechanics is based on 4, 3d coordinates + time.
11 or 12 dimensions are required for string theory or M Theory and generally required as an attempt to incorporate gravity into things.
No that isnt quite right 11 dimensions assumes deterministic (aka a certain answer dictated by math?) Quantum works on probabilities? (That is the quick thing google is giving me at least)
I know when you plan a tactical type situation you plan it in probabilities. 90% chance this guy has coffee here like he does every day, 70% chance we see no new faces on the way in --- too many improbababilities pop up you abort or switch to an alternative plan if it is the only possible window of 'execution' (meaning the plan not actually executing anyone)
Quantum mech is probability based yes, but a key thing is that measurement "collapses the probability wave" so that you then know with certainty key factors e.g. location.
however there's a lot of debate and alternate theories about if/how this actually happens. The Copenhagen Interpretation is the prevailing view currently of this, however "many worlds" is an alternative view.
the single most major thing for me for quantum mech though is HOW it was created, short version:- to develop the theory they ignored all other theories and instead created something based solely on experimental observations, they created a maths based theory on what was real and provable.
Understand WHY the math theory works is a different problem entirely, and in fact having a mathematical theory that perfectly describes/predicts the effects you see DOES NOT mean you have a theory for what is actually happening under the hood underneath so to speak.
Shitty analogy for you but it's the 1st that sprang to mind:- mixing primary colours has a very provable rule set to show what goes in versus what comes out, however it ignores deeper theories about light wavelengths which is the fundamental mechanism for what different colours actually are. Your theories for colour mixing are going to work always even if you don't know anything about wavelengths.
Newton, Einstein, standard model, and quantum mech are all paint mixing theories, but they operate at a higher level and in specific areas, they are not unified underlying theories of everything.
It is possible that alien beings and "demons" both exist separately. In fact, it is entirely possible that demons disguise themselves as alien beings in order to take advantage of our ignorance.
Both could exist, how do you know you're backing the right side though??
"evil" would do anything to lie and trick you, including appearing like it was "good" to manipulate you into doing the wrong thing.
Aliens could be "God" and visitors "demons" as everything is kind of open to interpretation.
Aliens being god is a viable option for me as an atheist, with tech so advanced that's just how it would seem to us. Just think what the middle ages would think of us if we turned up with today's tech.
