Trump has told the UK to sort our own oil supply through the strait of Hormuz!

I believe that he's given these sort of deadlines several times before, but has kept extending them.

I would say that he's going to look foolish if he does the same again, after what he said on Easter Sunday, but then again, he couldn't possibly look any more foolish for what he said, no matter what he does next.

Whether he follows through, or extends the deadline / threats again.

Actually no, if he did have the humility to as gracefully as possible withdraw and back down from that statement that would be the least foolish option. But alas he's certainly not known for his humility.

But he won't really want to go through with it surely? Will there be rebellions within his team, or from his military? It'll be war crime territory, bombing civilian bridges and power stations. And it will create a refuge crisis, that Europe will probably have to deal with.

It seems possible that he's making this latest statement knowing that a ceasefire is coming. This way, when it happens he can say he won and the Iranians bowed down his wrinkled nut sack. Even if the Iranians are spinning it differently. But who knows, I don't trust anything about him. He seems to be developing in a new risky way. I mean the fucking man has never let the 2020 election go. He's not going to let losing anything else go either.
I just hope that somewhere in government there are sober types saying he's got to be stopped, because waiting til 2028 isn't go to save us from him.
25th Amendment time, even if Vance is a pathetic weasel

well we have bombed kharg island overnight.

"A whole civilization will die tonight to never return"

I hope he isnt dumb/demented enough to do it
No guts, no glory. He's like, the bravest, most bestest, coolestio president that ever ruled the U.S. Of course he'll do it. Anything that will bring him more notoriety or money, he's all for it.

He'll destroy anything he wants to, if he can.

Somewhat reminiscent of the 72 Virgins bullshit.

Allow religion to dominate politics, and here we are...
Only difference is one guy didnt do nothing wrong and got attacked for it because they threatened our monopolies and just wanted nuclear power to power their homes and others are actually religious fanatics. Peaceful devolpment you know.

There's actually an ancient Christian historical site on Kharg Island. If Trump completely destroys it he'll be destroying a part of Christianity.

Iran operates ONE nuclear power reactor. The Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1. But the 1,000-megawatt plant in southern Iran only provides roughly 1-2% of Iran's electricity.

Iran has 12% of the entire world's crude oil! It EXPORTS electicity to Iraq, Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey.

So at a stroke, nations who normally might not support Iran may see it's own people siding with Iran because they rely on that electricity.

I was reading on my conspiracy theories app that apparently it is not Iran that is blocking the ships from passing the straight, but Lloyds.
If what the post said is true, they provide the insurance needed to sail the cargo ships that are staying in port, and given the current situation they have raised the cost of that insurance 400%.
Making the shipping companies decide that it is just not worth it at the moment.

Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised at that.

No, Lloyds WILL insure any vessel for any journey taken at any time.

But elsewhere I have pointed out that Lloyds of London is a sort of 'insurer of last resort' because yes, they WILL insure any seaworthy ship with an appropriate crew, but the premiums might be as much as losing the ship and it's cargo(s); not to mention the deaths and injuries among the crews.

Oh yes that's what I meant, they will insure any ship, "no problem" except that the fee is so absurd that it's not worth the journey.
