According to some of it, October the 7th was staged. I was even sent 'evidence' of Israeli soldiers making a boy pose as if he was dead. It was actually a scene from a film and the boy was playing a Palestinian. A thirty second fact check would've told them that, but they desperately wanted to believe.

Nuclear is quite efficient (unless you want to believe the illusionary narrative that it's dangerous). There's also plenty of more efficient alternatives to traditional renewables, alternatives with patents and in many cases working devices. But that "doesn't exist" so it's "not possible".

The amount of non-renewable energy used to build wind farms is ironic, not to mention the decimation of the seafloor and it's wildlife.
 
I've no objection to utilising nuclear power, but it's a long term project. You're talking five or six years to build a plant and up to fifteen years to actually commission one. Versus less than two years for a wind farm.

To build solar panels and wind farms it requires tearing the earth apart to build them and the mining destroys land leaving toxic chemicals everywhere. None of the companies adhere to saftey regulations and dump the shit were ever the fuck they want. Go and ask the people who live in towns next to it and they'll tell you how well there doing as there sitting their getting Cancers, Parkinson Disease, and whole host of almaints. The only solution is Fusion energy not degrowth, never gonna happen unless capitalism is overthrown.
 
I've only pointed out the FACT that nuclear power plants take a decade or more to come online. I've then pointed out that wind farms are much more swift to build and bring online.

I haven't picked any 'side' in this; I'm advocating pragmatism. Sorry if that confuses you and your evidently black and white thinking.

I guess you also think that man made climate change is a hoax. Or was that your router talking?

I dont know I think its mixture of the sun and humans. I know its definitely happening whats causing it is up for debate. There's defiantly people taking advantage of the situation to make themselves richer
 
Secret mines? Okay. That would actually work, wouldn't it? We have mines, but generally not for fuel. Potash, gypsum etc. Next to no coal mining these days.

And fossil fuels are good for the environment?

I must look into it more. Do you know if the countries that got involved defensively in this war, countries like the UK, will also be offered this free passage?

Bankrupting America would be a disaster for the global economy, and could also see most Westerners private or or workplace pension funds wiped out, seeing as most of them are at least 60% invested in the USA.
 
Cant see USA allowing it BUT perhaps it poses a threat so Trump cant just leave and expect europe to open the straits militarilly.

If we're talking about in our lifetimes then yeah he's always 'broken the mould" as to how leaders are supposed to act, to say the very least, but yeah this is a whole new level, even for him!

Over the last century or so, Hitler must have been the most insane leader, but you really don't ever know what Trump is going to do or say next.

Well yeah, to some extent that must be true, given that the UK has taken to just printing more money, for "quantitative easing" during very hard times over recent years. I believe this has resulted in a significant loss in the value of the £ though.

If America is doing the same, presumably the same will be happening to the value of the $.

I don't know what other countries are doing this, but you do have a fair point.

It would be more worrying if simply printing more money during hard times had no effect. Then we really would be in trouble, and might as well switch to crypto. Given that the value of that is linked to absolutely nothing.
