I’m from China. I believe my experience allows me to answer most of your questions, and I’m also curious about how information bubbles differ between countries.


I previously worked with RCs in China. I briefly engaged in basic synthesis and abused a wide range of RCs. I’ve had direct contact with drug users as well as wholesalers. I made money, and I was also arrested, but avoided conviction (China’s regulation and enforcement around RCs is far more underdeveloped than you might imagine).


I think I can address most of the questions you may have, if you’re interested.
Clarifying misunderstandings is something I genuinely enjoy.

Many years ago, back in those broke days, a vain boy came up with the brilliant idea of making money by synthesizing GHB.
He spent nights obsessively searching, hopping from link to link, until he eventually stumbled into Bluelight, Rhodium, Erowid, PsychonautWiki…


Luckily, that boy never actually ended up making or selling GHB — mostly because he probably wasn’t as smart as he thought he was.
And thanks to the people who were kind to me when I didn’t really deserve it.

Interesting back story. What was the most common RC synthesized by you? Did you work for yourself or someone else. Lab equipment is costly so just wondering.... Being nosey.

f you mean something I personally made and sold, it was a synthetic cannabinoid inspired by chemical weapons. The process itself came from a team I worked with back then. After smoking it, you could stay high for three days straight…
(Which, unfortunately, made it basically impossible to sell — way too long-lasting to have any real commercial value, lol.)


After that, I switched to wholesaling. I never did international trade though — everything stayed within mainland China.


If you’re talking about setting up lab equipment yourself, it’s honestly not that expensive. From my experience, you can keep the equipment costs under 30k USD.

I’ve never tried MXE.


4-HO-MET — oh man, I once ordered 20 grams from a legit lab. I absolutely loved it, and it’s still legal now.


4-AcO-DMT used to be legal in China, but because it can break down into trace amounts of psilocin, I never dared to buy or keep it.


What left the biggest impression on me was all the synthetic cannabinoids. Back when I didn’t understand the law or pharmacology, their potency completely shocked me. Like… how was this stuff even legal?


I still miss those fast-acting synthetic cannabinoids.

This is an important issue I've thought about and would like to ask respectfully given this unique opportunity.

Do you think there is any direct or indirect thinking in the Chinese leadership or society that feels China being a large producer of drug precursors sold to the West is a fair turnabout of events given the historical oppression of China by UK in the Opiate Wars?
