Good Answer. Good Answer. I personally disagree, with all three of those religion/ philosophies, but it is good to know that there are others who have a decent or better understanding of, deeper topics.

Thanks for the compliments. Glad to meet another scholar of this stuff on here.
Personally I find drugs often enhance my existing interest in such things. Not all drugs and not all doses, of course, but one of my favorite things is to take a moderate dose of some mushrooms and read about religion and philosophy. Well, as long as the visuals don't come on too strong to read. In that case I just strap in and enjoy it, maybe listening to an audiobook or podcast about such things.

I wouldn't self describe as a perennialist myself but it has certainly been an influence on my worldview.

I’ve been on a Pynchon bender since this summer. Reread Gravity’s Rainbow for a third time (giant, encyclopedic novel full of nasty and holy tendrils, weirdly slapstick moments and moments of sheer bleakness).

He had a new book, The Shadow Ticket, drop in October, and it was a fun read. It is a detective novel set in Milwaukee, about a private eye tracking down the eloped daughter of “the Al Capone of cheese”.

I’d say to read “The Crying of Lot 49” first, because it is a short little novella, and it pretty perfectly captures Pynchon’s style. If you like that, you will like pretty much everything else he’s done.

Circe by Madeline Miller. Great book if you like mythological fantasy. And technically it kinda fits with the bluelight, drug theme because the goddess uses herbs, etc. to make spells and magic.

I do ,all time,has taught me French and Spanish ,A titch more ...but sometimes ,I'm WTF,and English subtitles helps the film ,well for me
