Stimulants Why is amphetamine so good at keeping opiod wd at bay?

I'm currently forced to use speed to prevent heroin wd until my letter is finally in my mailbox (hopefully tomorrow). Initially I planned to take only so much to not feel wd, but you know how it goes...I'm fully amped up now lol.
Can somebody tell me why amphetamine is so good at preventing opioid withdrawals? As far as I know an opioid wd is caused by the brain's system being flooded by adrenaline. Shouldn't speed make wd worse then?
I can't tell you guys how lucky I am to have found a bag of speed in my drawer by accident. I was expecting my letter to come today but it didn't and was starting to panic at the thought of withdrawal (fuck the nightmares) but luckily I found enough speed to binge for at least two days. I'll never make the mistake again to order heroin after my baggie is empty. Always gotta make sure that I have a week's supply left in case of post delays.

Oh god I really hope this doesn't turn into a fucking porn binge again. I wanna be productive now and design something in Adobe Illustrator. Gimme some suggestions bluelighters. Quick, before 72 GIF tabs get opened, because by then it won't be too late!

A fair warning to everyone about this topic. Eventually, it literally stops working well enough for you to say the same thing in 3 years. Even less if you're using a lot and often.

Stimulants like adderall helped me abuse them to stagnate opioid withdrawals so beautifully even during the horrible crashes. In time, adderall noticeably even at high doses did not do enough to prevent the withdrawal from being unfeelable. Stimulant tolerance rises as it does for all--even if not daily using stimulants. In time, not enough amount of amphetamine will ever keep withdrawals away like it does for you now. Just how it is. Tolerance is not on the rise just because of daily use. It rises slightly each time a drug enters your body. Eventually, you'll notice the same.

Adderall improves opiate WD because it stimulates dopamine release, which you're deficient in during opiate WD. It does work, but it's best if you can also get Clonidine to go with it to keep your blood pressure and heart rate down (those will already be elevated during WD). Using Adderall and Clonidine helped me past WD, and at the right doses made me feel almost normal during WDs. They got rid of the sweats and depression and I was able to actually get out of bed and go about a normal day feeling at least 85-90% of normal. I'd urge anyone who tries this to get Clonidine if at all possible so your heart won't be beating out of your chest and you'll actually be able to get some rest at night.

Clonidine would likely have made a huge difference in your situation. It completely gets rid of the high heart rate and blood pressure -- completely. It also makes it possible to get some sleep at night which is virtually impossible otherwise.

The Adderall totally got rid of the lethargy and depression for me. I literally couldn't get out of bed, but after using Adderall my mood changed 100% -- I was actually interested in things again after having no interest in anything at all. The difference could be that I took a higher dose of Adderall since I had the Clonidine; if I hadn't had Clonidine I would have taken half or less of the Adderall dose out of caution.

The trick is to stop doing the opiates. I was a horrible opiates addict for years and was at the end of my rope on what I was going to do to get away from them and then I found amphetamines. Amphetamines saved my life. They allowed me to become somewhat like a normal person, or at least the illusion of being normal to the outside world. I still take a few pain pills every once in a blue moon but I stick with the amps for the most part unless I'm going through a self imposed detox to let my body recuperate. Which is almost impossible with opiates but with amps it's great, I just sleep a lot and eat some of the best tasting food in my life for a few days. Sometimes to put on weight and really feel healthy I'll go a couple of months sober to let my body really do some healing.

Its not good at preventing withdrawals it makes withdrawals worse n come faster makes people hyper focus on the fact they are withdrawing you must not be a junky because any junky will tell you any stim will make the Jones harder

Obviously it does work for some people. Is it a genetic thing? Or does it just work for people who only have relatively light opiate abuse/addiction?

During opiate withdrawals I am horribly restless and have restless limb syndrome which makes me want to cut my legs off, so the concept of taking powerful stimulants at that time... nightmare fuel.

Anything that stimulates dopamine release has the ability to mitigate subjective symptoms of withdrawal. I think we all can relate to distractions when we are in Opioid withdrawal. You can sit and stare at the wall and a minute can seem like 10 hours or your can listen to some of your favorite music and time seems to pass a little bit quicker. Listening to your favorite song is an example of a lower-level Dopamine release. If we are talking about something like Amphetamine, it tracks that it could relieve symptoms of mild-moderate withrawal, however I wouldn´t expect a person withdrawing from Heroin/Fentanyl to be satisfied with just about any amount of Amphetamine. They will still need Opioids. This is just my opinion.

In my experience you have to speed up BEFORE wd comes on.

Depends on how high that tolerance is and for how long you've been taking fent. I have never taken fent so I cannot give you any reliable info on that question. Sorry...
