I used to eat whole strips in one session of pre-gablin,made me wobbly and near the other side of being worse than drunk, glad I don't get them anymore.Zoplicone works for me but my favourite is probably pregabalin. Not really a sleep med I know but I sleep like a rock on pregabalin.
All I've heard about Belsomra is bad things. Either didn't work at all, or had horrible effects. Typically from Ambien/Lunesta users, not sure about the rest.I'm still waiting to read a proper 'trip report on an OX1`/OX2 modulator.
Belsomra (suvorexant)
Quviviq (daridorexant)
Dayvigo (lemborexant)
What immediately strikes me about all three is that they are all are chiral and in each case just one stereoisomer is used. This goes against the practice of 'evergreening' and suggests that the TI if the raecamates might not be favourable.
Several more are in stage 3 trails but many more have been abandoned - which may suggest that the TI IS the issue. One contains deutirium (heavy hydrogen). Now, for a while a lot of pharmacutical companies believed that swapping H for D was another way of evergreening. Then a court made it clear that ONLY IF swapping a H for a D demonstrably improved the medication in question could a patent be obtained.
I know this all sounds very boring, but this is the 99% of drug design that isn't simply drawing a structure.
Never been able to try those medsThe ones that don't eliminate REM and make you a zombie with dark eye circles anyways, so none... I used to be anti-melatonin but the 0.3mg capsules are GREAT. I drop into REM despite being on kratom and gabapentin and other substances, and feel WAY more rested. My mind was changed. I don't promote benzos or z-drugs for sleep. Been down those roads too many times.
I agree 100%. I think that Zopiclone is the best sleep med that I've done when taking side effects and efficacy into consideration. Pregabalin knocked my ass out though. I never sleep well but I sure did on pregabalin, which led to me binging hard on it for a month. Wasn't expecting the WD from one month of pregabalin to be awful, but holy hell, quite possibly the worst withdrawal I've ever experienced, and I've experienced them all. Felt very much like benzo withdrawal, but with wild mood swings. I'd go rapidly from extreme sadness, to anger, to depression. The part that I found scary was that it made me experience very gruesome and gory fantasies and gave me both suicidal and homicidal urges. I have not once in my life had homicidal urges and haven't had them sense, but that has scared me away from pregabalin.Zoplicone works for me but my favourite is probably pregabalin. Yes Indeed. Rare to find one like him and he is to be protected at all costs.Sounds like he is a veteran !!![]()
My docs okay, sounds you have had problems with someYes Indeed. Rare to find one like him and he is to be protected at all costs.
So many Dr's have turned into big p^ssies and are scarred to honor the oath the vowed to. Yet if it were their mother or father suffering they wouldn't hesitate to comfort them as long as possible.
Back at you. Stay safe and cool.My docs okay, sounds you have had problems with someto you!
I've heard it's really awful. I only take it once a week (if that) as a treat as I'm sure if I got hooked on it I'd never get myself off it. Thank you! The withdrawal was indeed horrible. Good on you for keeping it to once a week, try to keep it that way if you can. I got 300mg capsules I think it was. Started off with one or 2 of those a day but tolerance built up very quick so before long I was taking 900-1200mg a day. A pretty insane dose but it was only a month. Still goddamn awful. I actually made it like almost 2 weeks and still felt horrible. Felt like the withdrawal was gonna last forever. I ended up getting a pack of meth. I was still experiencing mood swings and feeling occasionally like I was gonna have a seizure, but I just binged on meth until I made it through. I felt a lot better after a couple of hits so I kept it going. Made it past the withdrawal but made it all the way to being fired from my job lol. All is good now though.I've heard it's really awful. Tangentially related, I've not been sleeping well lately but last night I smoked some changa mixed with chamomile and I don't know whether to attribute this to the changa or the chamomile but I fell asleep effortlessly and slept all through the night.
Not often I hear of meth successfully being utilised as a quitting aid but I can see how some euphoria might help carry you through.meth until I made it through. I'm smoking it in a bud bomb pipe and the changa wasn't catching the flame very well so I added the chamomile to bulk it out and help it burn better. It wouldn't have been in issue in a bong but I'm between bongs. That's an interesting combo. Why mix chamomile? Just for a smoother trip? I wonder if the maoi in changa makes chamomile stronger
Not bad at all. I've tried belsomra, Dayvigo, and (tonight in fact) I'll try quviviq for the first time. I've found them all to create a quality sleep effect, minimal 'sedation', plenty of follow-up efficacy (I can sleep well in the days after taking a dose) and the quality of sleep is very high.Orexin antagonists are still really expensive where I live, though, as a lifelong insomniac. I’m intrigued…how’s the hangover with belsomra?
Oh that makes sense. I've done similar things with tea in the past for when I only had hash, resin or small amounts of weed that I didn't want getting sucked into the pipe. Interesting that it improved the flavor and isn't harsh on the lungs. I'll consider that when I want to smoke something but don't want to become altered. I always have chamomile around.I'm smoking it in a bud bomb pipe and the changa wasn't catching the flame very well so I added the chamomile to bulk it out and help it burn better. It improved the flavour though and it isn't at all harsh on the lungs going down. Chamomile is actually a really nice smoke it's good for mixing in with joints too if you're not partial to rolling them pure.
