I'm not around much these days myself though, undoubtedly due to lack of drugs.

Ha! Same in many ways but mostly cos I’m pretty much a family man these days and drugs don’t easily fit into my life anymore… that’s not to say I don’t still have the occasional night of debauchery when possible

I hear ya mate. My kids are grown up now, and they're more fuckin demanding and draining than they were when toddlers, so I'm having to do loads more real life shit these days.

On the other hand, they sort me out with weed, so kids do have some uses

My (technically step- but treated as my own) children are now in their early-mid 20s () and do drop me off the occasion weed vape

The one that lives at home is very judgmental when it comes to other drugs though and I’ve made a personal choice not to disrespect her choices whilst she lives with us… so (very) occasional use only for me these days… kinda looking forward to getting properly old disgracefully though :D

It's a sad state of affairs when your kids control your drug use.

My 20 year old lad still has a stash of some extremely good MDMA which he can't use because he's on sertraline.

But every time I make tentative enquiries about possibly procuring some, he tells me I'm too old now.

Just remembering once many years ago...was in a shop in the town you were living in (M....) and was thinking of giving you a ring, have a coffee or whatnot (I had your number) but was running short of time so didn't. I glanced at the newspaper rack and your local paper had a headline in a large font that simply, and in capitals, read "SHAMBLES!" I did titter somewhat

I actually was on the front page of the local newspaper once… cos I ran up and down the high street butt nekkid with demons screaming in my head during a particularly hardcore peevee sesh. Was really touched to see the locals clearly standing between me and the headlines whilst i waited in the queue at Spar. I may have been the local druggie but I was their local druggie.

BBC headlines today : "US removes tariffs on UK steel and aluminium, and cuts car rate to 10%, as Trump and Starmer unveil deal"

So it seems the pundits and analysts that were predicting this sort of Tariff reversal were spot on. It was always my hunch or belief that they were correct, as it was the only thing that made sense.

As eccentric as Trump is, for want of a better word, I don't believe he's either insane or a complete fool, so it was never going to be in anyone's interests, least of all America's, to stick to the punitive tariffs with all trading countries.

The stock markets may shoot up tomorrow on this news. Some were speculating that Trump and his wealthy friends were manipulating the markets in order to be able to buy the stocks much cheaper than they had been, and then watch their wealth increase, once the situation settled, and the markets in all likelyhood will shoot back up again. They only crashed in the first place because of what Trump said abouut Tariffs. And now he's starting to roll back on that. As predicted. It seems kind of like insider trading, but I guess different rules apply to presidents and policy makers.

I wonder if anyone will look into whether Trump will recover some of his personal fortune with this. He's probably too clever / sneaky/ tricksy to have anything directly traceable to him. But he's managed to get that law passed that no serving president can be indicted for anything. How he gets away with everything he says and does is completely staggering to me.
