I made it through my first day without alcohol again. I did not try to start debate about socio-political things with my right-leaning, religious family after someone disagreed about something I took as pretty much self-evident case. That is HUGE plus. I am looking forward to still not annoying people for no good reason, not puking my guts out few times a month and having some level of self-regulation that comes along with not drinking that fucking poison. I have a vacation from school so this is perfect time to quit or decrease some unsustainable coping techniques. I planned to go 48 hours or more without weed too.

I still don't feel like blazing but my OCPD got really out of control and I couldn't fall asleep so I caved in and got one tall strong lager.

It led to more beer and whole bottle of wine and two bases of weed from percolator, butttttt... I am going to hang out without alcohol to my friend who is alcoholist and bring them few beers. I am sure that is optimal environment to stop drinking again.

I live in a hot place in South East Asia and I do a lot of physical work and hate air conditioning

so I try to drink enough water and usually have a 2l bottle within my grasp 24/7

The Leukaemia in my stepdad has got VERY Serious, he went for some test & was sent for a MRI scan, the type he has does something to the bones & he found out his neck is fucked, the slightest fall would have broken the bone!!!!!
His been in a neck-brace for a week now & has been on some Ward that deals with people who have the Leukaemia, he has to have both Radiotherapy & Chemotherapy for several months, he has to have some stuff injected into him every 14 days from some Nurse that comes to the House & then another every 2 weeks has to go to the Hospital for some other stuff.

That's rough. Cancer is such a dick. My mum has been living with metastatic breast cancer for a couple of years now and it generally just feels like one thing after another since her diagnosis.

She had/has mets running from the top of her spine to the base of her pelvis and radiotherapy ended up helping enormously with that, going from barely being able to walk to near full mobility within a couple of months. Hopefully the same applies with your stepdad and he's out of that neck brace soon.
