How worthwhile is mephedrone?

I've known about mephedrone for ages, never got around to trying it, I believe it was sort of phasing out as I was getting into drugs (~2011). My only experience with cathinone at all was one time in high school some kids I knew got their hands on what they called "bk punch", I assume it was a cathinone of some sort.

My friend just got back from the UK and mentioned he had some on a night out and it was quite fun. I had also heard murmurs of it around the scene where I live recently. Which seemed odd, because in my mind it was just yet another RC that disappears once it gets banned.

Doing some research, it sounds like theres just different -drones going around and sometimes (rarely?) you will get 4MMC.

My go-to for going out to shows (electronic music) is low dose 2C-B and I love it, I also love candy flipping but its just too crazy of an experience if you're just going to the club for a few hours. Overall, its a low commitment musically oriented experience that provides a good amount of energy, and its fucking great for the afters.

I'm under no illusion that mephedrone would somehow one-up 2C-B, but I'm sort of intrigued and seems like I can get my hands on it, albeit not very cheap and unsure whether I'd be able to confirm which X-XMC it would be. Reading around & refreshing myself on this drug... It doesn't seem to have a great reputation, even from people who like it. But, I don't do coke, and this seems like it can sort of fill that niche, especially in the all-grown-up days of groaning when a show's headliner doesn't go on until 2:30am...

So, just looking for bluelighters opinions on this drug in the year of 2025. Are there simply better RC's on the market for this niche? I always got the feeling mephedrone was only really popular because it was legal and smack dab in the MDMA drought.

Maybe a Q for psychedelics, but does it combine well at all with say, 2C-B? Or is combining such stims with psychedelics just going to be a bit manic, I certainly have reservations about mixing moreish drugs with psychedelics, unless its nitrous hehe

I'm mostly worried about the crappy comedown, I do not do well with the coke comedown (though I'm one of those people that experiences zero mdma comedown and long lasting antidepressant effects from it), is a benzo safe to take on the tailend of this stuff? Is 4MMC really the best one, or is it simply raver nostalgia and they're all kinda the same shit? If I can't get 4MMC, out of the current ones, which is the "best"?

Any other thoughts, opinions or stuff I might wanna know about this drug much appreciated.
 
When 4-MMC was available to me, for basically free.
And having read the UK story before that, it seemed to good.
It started in Israel, Uk and then spread. In the USSR the IV-ing it.
They prefer it over Heroin, can t imagine it, but no exp with either.

So I never ordered, self protection. And that bk-'punch' Cathinone,
you mentioned might also have been:
bk-MDMA, which was a very nice substance,
i like it better then MDMA.

Also loved Qat/ Khat contains Cathinone/ Cathine,
over Amphetamine, Ephedra or Coke. They are fresh twigs,
illegal now like the rest mentioned under and above.

All the other i advise avoid: 4-MMC was to good.
And the rest 3-MMC/ 3-CMC/ 4-FMC. Not worth it.
Only had 3-MMC, trash imo, but the Dutch teens love it.

Prefer it over quality MDMA, Coke or Amphetamine ?

Real problematic, as its illegal quite some but stil around and easy to get.
According to the youth, they are from after the Mephedrone time.
So don t know how 4-MMC felt.

But its nothing like 2-CB or even [bk] MDMA,
its some sort of mix of Coke with legs and a tiny bit of MDMA.
Serotonin release, super fiending stuff.
 
I'm from Israel, and I can't vouch I've got 4MMC, only that my dealer sold 3MMC and 4MMC separately. Can't test it in reagent kits.

But it fitted the expected effects, extremely , and effect time curves, so I'm going to assume it is that.

You get a lot of shit though. Dealers don't know their MMCs and just label it as one. Sometimes they sell you other things.

So is it good? Yes, extremely. It definitely turns you on a lot more than MDMA. It's also practically impossible to get hard on it - tried double the dose of Cialis, but had some minor success with taking a day before, and then another pill before the experience.

Snorting, which is classic around here(they all prefer 3MMC around me though) gives you a great uplifting sensation, turns you on, makes everything nicer - yes. I never tried doing rails of it, only bumps

But when you swallow it's that's when the shit really hits the fan. 100mg is nice but once you cross the 120mg and add after an hour , it almost rides some primal, teenager like sexual explosion. It's a very dirty type of sexuality, not MDMA like though, it's not love, it's more about dirty passion, but, it Aldo rides that honesty and openness pathway you get with MDMA. I enjoyed it a lot.

Ridiculously impossible to get an erection at that point too. And it makes your ass completely loose and enjoyable.

But yes it's very morish. You will lose your sense. And the crash, well, you basically do crush but I didn't find it bad. You're also completely wired. And cannabis - at the end not the peak - was really great too.

I wouldn't mix it with anything.

3MMC is, at best, ok for clubs and chatting but I don't understand why anyone would want it over 4MMC.

And again - no real way to know what they're selling you as ,4MMC. At least here we started the wave so, dealers trying to switch it get bad reps.
 
I’ve bought what was sold as 3MMC and 4MMC from German street dealers, and I was not impressed at all by either. I’m still not sure if I just got other analogues or at least a different analogue for 4MMC, or if it’s just not a drug/drug class for me. I’ve tried a more basic cathinone and it was barely worth trying.

I love MDMA - although it’s not remotely sexual for me. I love meth - which is very sexual for me. 2C compounds make me feel horrible. I definitely have weird brain chemistry. Anyway, I preferred the 3MMC to the 4MMC because the former was more stimulating. Wheress the latter was like a weak unimpressive more sedating MDMA. Neither made me feel horny and I was in a very easily aroused state at the time.
 
Mephedrone is going to be a lot closer to coke than 2cb and you'll be wanting to redose pretty frequently. It's very easy to get carried away and end up taking a lot more than you meant to it pretty much annihilates your self control.

Europe apparently has a lot to analogues floating about which get passed off as 4-mmc. It's easy to get in the UK and it's popularity never really dropped off after the ban.

4-ho-met is my favorite drug for concerts and the like, if you can get that.

Then you'll LOVE mephedrone. I know i do.

It has most of the empathy of MDMA without being quite so physically sickening after repeatedly redosing.
It has all the egotistical chattyness of cocaine.
It will make you hornier than MDMA x Cocaine + your favourite porno (maybe not quite but close enough).

Buckle up, strap in and get ready for a ride.

That being said as other people have warned you mostly 4-MMC isn't what it says on the tin anymore depending on your geographical location. It's also generally cut now which it never was during its heyday. And the price has gone up.

But if you like moreish party drugs that will leave you wishing you'd die when they wear off, then the good ole "plant food" is the one for you.

So if I’m not crazy about cocaine then it’s likely not for me, do you think? Because I do find coke pretty mediocre and it doesn’t make me particularly horny.

They have a lot in common while being very distinct. I've always preferred meohedrone to coke. It last longer and there's more of a serotonin rush.

I really can't imagine actual mephedrone not making anyone horny it's a very horny drug.

But some people say that about MDMA too! Still, that’s my bigger suspicion, that I got an analogue.

I’ve been in super aroused scenarios on MDMA and not a hint of horniness is possible for me. I can have sex right before and after, but during it’s not even a possibility. Now on meth, then I can fool around the entire time, driven by insatiable need.

Can never understand anyone sayin that the comedown is light, wow! My experience is of a 3-5 day terrible comedown, like a real shocker
 
Mephedrone was an interesting discovery. I find it fascinating that about a dozen different people have all come out of the woodwork claiming to be the inventor.

The first time I heard of it was on Russian Hyperlab circa 1994. A Russian chemist had no money and a limited number of precursors and mephedrone was their 'best guess' at an active which they went on to report as being a little like MDMA and a little like cocaine. No idea of the name but I credit that unknown chemist as the first one to make it with a view to it being a stimulant.

Thanks. That’s good to know. So, if I order an amount equal to a reasonable, not-abusive dose, then I can’t binge. But then I won’t be out committing home invasion to get my hands on more the next day.
 
I never felt mephedrone was particularly good. That said I don't get on with stimulants so it was never likely to be a hit with me.

Anything that makes anxiety worse - I'm out.
 
Mephedrone is the BEST drug available. It's like better and more safe version of MDMA/Meth/Coke. Oh boy, when this came to Russia this instantly got number 1 drug in the market and wiped out shitty coke, E/mdma, meth, Heroin.

It's actually pretty strong and very safe at the same time. Actually impossible to overdose and it don't have any side effects after the binges, unlike MDMA overdose (brain zapps, depression, anxiety). It goes easy on you. You can actually use up to 2g of this shit alone in one day, and you won't feel any shit after.
I highly recommend to mix with the weed and K.
And yeah sometimes it's hard to get the boner on it, especially on higher dosages > 0.2g
But, it's very easy to get addicted and start to inject it, because it's too good.
