๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Social ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Convince Mysterier to like an artist/band with one song

i see mysterier post some emo stuff sometimes if i'm not mistaken... this will be my contribution to the thread to see if he or any one else can get into this dude... he's kind of got a different style than emo and just kind of a unique vibe in general:

edit: this is not emo... i'm just interested in mysterier because i thought he was posting some emo with another poster in a couple threads.. i think this music would actually be indie... if anybody else doesn't like it or likes it, i'd also be interested. it might be kind of boring and weird. idk, but i think it's super talented.

Convinced. Blame it on my peripatetic brain, but I overlooked this initially. The guitar work weaves so deftly with the melody. It's sublime.

Disclaimer: I am not proclaiming to be a self-appointed arbiter of taste. Your questionable music preferences are your own. This is primarily a fun way to give artists a chance again or discover new tunes with what one perceives as convincingly their best song.

The Process:

  • One artist, one song, one shot
  • Previous biases checked at the door
  • Failed to impress before? Redemption arc time
  • New to me? Let's see what you've got
The Verdict:
At the very least, I will indicate that I'm "convinced" or "not convinced," though I will happily elaborate if requested. Possible outcomes:
  • Convinced: Well, would you look at that
  • Not Convinced: Thanks, I hate it
Fine Print:
  • All opinions are served hot but meant to be taken room temperature
  • Your mileage may vary
  • No artists were harmed in the making of these reviews (probably)
Remember: This is just one person's attempt to find good music in questionable places. Take what resonates, leave what doesn't.
My last new found last night is allready posted.

But it was a new and a good find, don t care if anyone likes it.
Thats just a extra, its so they don t get lost especially for me.
Yeah, seems like A.a Egoist or B. slight Demetia kicking in.

Posted superb tracks that got no likes so succes @Mysterier next one,
is for you deal. Does the bands/ track not have to be new to the poster ?

I only posting things unheard for me, overhere [my own rule].
Wondering what will show up ?

Convinced! Bonza!
My friend is sorry to mention way better and only needs a underground subway station. No instrument or, buckets. And he sure aint the best.

Just the different station surfaces, the nice acoustics and echo. Using his fists/ fingers and hands.
People were dancing, in a subway station on both sides.
Too his hardcore/ tribal/ gabber/ break beat/ tekno influenced freestyle fre performance.

nice idea for a thread @Mysterier

the artist: primal scream
the song: loaded

convinced?

alasdair

Bit old for me, standing in my cupboard turned grey from playing it. [grey = figurative].

There were better bands imo Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and The Verve att.
With smaller ego s even, but thats just from the outside, maybe it was just looking like it.

edit: will post the extended, oops that was 'Fools Gold' so the normal version, for you.๐Ÿซถ

Besides a track with the Chemical Brothers, did they make another record or not ?

Already posted by me, but a OG find, through a movie.
The rest of the genre i ll leave to the connaisseur.

Its contempary as can be, 1 month ago posted.
The music is a stirred up mix of my favorite ingredients.

The clip, well i assume LSD or psychedelic influenced. Sublime !
Except for ... when he s on Shrooms.

German, though i thought Africa, on MDMA & LSD, a Rave.
What is sticking on his underlip, any guess ?

So this is my trying to convince you track of :
_DON GOLIATH_
How did i get there, movie, no i am bulshitting me. It was Youtube s AI.

Loaded, works ok overhere, good song. Ancient but good.

fairly simple song, but it gets me. hope you enjoy.

Not convinced. It left me feeling ambivalent. While it had moments that intrigued me, the overall composition never developed into something compelling. I appreciate you sharing it, though I'm afraid it didn't quite resonate with me.

I'm actually torn between 2 very different songs. So I'm gonna post them both.

Not convinced. It left me yearning for the likes of Leonard Cohen, Elliott Smith, and Nick Cave instead.

Convinced. There's something undeniably compelling about most of Atmosphere's catalogue.

Convinced! This captures Arcade Fire's early brilliance, before their artistic decline.

Convinced. Though I appreciate some trip-hop and lounge music, this teeters on the edge, a close call, admittedly.

Not convinced. While it initially drew me in, the repetitiveness ultimately dulled its appeal.

Convinced. Out of dormancy comes a gentle reminderโ€”it's been too long since I've revisited their work.

Don Goliath is absolutely weird, i find the music quite intense.

The cllip does give a pretty good description of psychedelics visuals of a COV i hope. or OEV.
Wonder what substance though, not MJ. And its a new track [for me that is rare]
Can post something 15/ 25 years old or a mumble rapper, i don t like.
Especially when they also mumble through autotune.

And its not one clip like there were more alike more, wonder were it stops . I haven t sought. So get it.
It a bit repulsive imo but mostly the vid i think [will check it with screen of to test, one day]
But the is beat good, flow. I could go loose on a dance floor on it, sober.

Its a bit too polished but haven t checked em live or a session. .

@Mysterier I'll come out of left field with a Limp Bizkit song. That's a band I would expect most people not to like.

I've always loved the variable cacophonic resonance of this song, like the peaks and troughs of an acid trip. It hits a lot different than all their other music, and pairs excellently with various psychedelics.

It's like a numetal jam band song and quite unique in that regard.

Good ..... but not as a start up kinda song.

First thought was 'The Final Countdown' [glamrock/ 90-ties].
But its evoluted into ? something i listen when i have awoken ;)

The Rattieness of the gitarist, no not too they are perfectly formed .. eh balanced.
