Mental Health Coming off Invega/Xeplion (paliperidone) injections v. 9

My life outlook has changed after knowing that drugs this debilitating exist. If I become functional I still won’t be able to forget the perpetual churn of people cycling in and out of psych wards botched by this garbage. If they’re stubborn enough to stop getting injections (assuming there’s even a choice) what if they are no longer smart enough to discern paradoxical induced psychosis by the drug or withdrawal difficulties from others claiming “see that means you need the injection”? So many chances to fail in a vulnerable state and be pulled back in. The injection makes a person so unbelievably tired and cognitively impaired. Becoming a vegetable after an accident instead of dying has always been a worst fear, and this drug feels like a degree of that, “shut off” while still alive.
 
If a person becomes chronically tired from the injections others will likely still perceive it as just a lack of “will” because on the surface it seems that way. It’s not as obvious as being wheelchair bound where understanding is automatically given, but takes explaining. But then the brain also isn’t as sharp, to put together proper explanations.

Hi sorry I just saw this. With invega I felt fine 7 months after last injection. With haldol I'm almost 9 months off and feel horrible from one tiny 10mg shot. I imagine 10mg going to the brain instantly is not good tho.

No problem. Damn, it's odd you had a relatively fast recovery from invega but 10mg seems to be taking longer. I'm sure you'll be fine, seems people who manage to recover at least once do the same multiple times from these threads

Yeah you’re right. What’s different about getting in a car accident and becoming a vegetable vs invega. Not much.

Your the only one who messages people asking for proof on Instagram of pictures and then accuses them of being something they’re not.

You tried that shit on me ages ago. Wanting to know where I live what’s my phone number. Saying you have no one to talk to and you’ll kill yourself. Just creepy stuff in general.

No one needs to prove themselves to you. Especially on an anonymous forum.

It’s the internet. You can’t trust anyone. So why do we have to prove ourselves to you.
I’ve learnt a lot about projection lately. And usually the people accusing without proof are the ones doing it. Have a lovely day now.
