🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 What's the last film you saw? v. Why doesn’t Peter Jackson wear shoes?

Train spotting
I bought the Criterion 4k UHD release recently and the middle of the film is literally unwatchable, and 30 minutes or so... it skips or freezes. Mint condition disc. Looked it up and apparently many people are having this issue and Criterion refuses to own up to it. I am more than a little peeved because aside from that its a fantastic transfer...

i watched Short Circuit the 80's movie shown on one of the basic t.v. channels.

this is a pretty good movie, but i think it's pretty off how the news caster is questioning the girl who found the robot "Did it try to mollest you" the newscaster says, and then a few scenes later it kind of seems like the robot is about to force the girl to dance with her... did anybody else see this as a kid and get worried the robot was gonna rape the girl?.. i'm not sure how old i was when i was picking up on that. i think i saw the movie when i was like really young like a baby almost, but then i probably saw it again when i was 5 or 6 when i was worried about the scene with the robot dancing with the girl... i sometimes wonder if hollywood does stuff to mess with kids heads, but maybe the people that made it just weren't thinking.

200% Wolf (2004)

Watched this with my daughter and we both loved the cosmic space things in it, decent enough.

Wife and I watched Castle in the Sky (1986) again tonight. Pretty classic Miyazaki. Love the steampunk/alternative history vibes. Lots of similarities with Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and many of his later films. Fantastic animation and fantastic soundtrack by Joe Hisaishi.

Finally got around to watching The Shining on 4K UHD. Fantastic picture and sound. My old copy was the 4:3 dvd copy which I keep aside as a backup and shows the helicopter shadow in the intro.

I hadn’t realized Wendy (Walter) Carlos had a hand in the soundtrack of this flick. What a talented individual.
