Gabapentinoids The Lyrica (Pregabalin) Mega Thread v 2.0

First aff all I see you joined bluelight at my birthday but 30 years later exactly:cheers:
My dose is 750mg daily, was till thursday, now is 150,150,300 which is 600mg. I went to my pdoc earlier, so like she's reading my mind cause now she gave me Clonidine and I asked:
We don't have Clonidine in Croatia or!?, She says yes you smartass but the two or three pharmacies can order or have sometimes cause hospitals order them for opioid crisis.. so She gave me 2cnd special.prescrip. for CATAPRESAN(only German intructions but I already knew about clonidine nevet tried it) Concerta is something that she prescribed me a year ago, cause last antidep. Venlafaxine (effexor-US, in my country is Velafax or Alventa, I cold turkey that from 225mg a year, also mirtazapine-which was great but I couldn't believe how real can be dreaming pain-like being stabbed by some pipes and...uhhhh, and then realize that is a dream and couldn't snap out off it still.(was in whitdrawall hell about a week with zaps, than MPH helped me and is still,(you need spec. prescription cause ADHD is not and can't be cured for adults, I know only one more person who has Concerta prescribed and only from online forum....)
the thing is I went through a lot SSRI's before and SNRI's, tramadol for pain from two knee surg, but I'm not depressed, or bipolar I only have addictive personality but towards my meds(pregabalin).
I now tried clonidine and I can't believe how I slept like a rock but again it's not that sedating, and I'm good with 225mg pregabalin and 2mg Bupe foe now, actually I have some time now and saved some benzos I will try kick bupe out-I'm prepairing for this and will ty if not I will see How bad and how taper will go.

As of Phenibut, Before pregabalin I also would be like knocked out( just saw my history of ordering from ND)to remind myself and I first order in 2017. as I was fooling around with GHB cause it was everywhere in dance-techno.afterparty's, my wife was also adored cause we had the sex all over the space-timeo_O
:alien:.
I found Phenibut cause I won't in details but was NaGHB no GBl addict was using 6months, stopped everything when wife got pregnant, and Phenibut was a Godsend, albeit tiredness was battleing with amp.sulphate, and I always ordered like 3x180 bottles was affraid of the law-it's still grey area but powder would be more suspicious.
So I was lucky or not still debatting myself which is worse but I always look intoxicated on phenibut(but euphoria, music appreciation all that Gaba-b and in large doses I think is Gaba-a agonist,)beat the pregabalin in Hedonistic me but Pregabalin helped me not using drop of alcohol, nothing
Back on Phenibut I also had couple months of ordering capsules and I wass in more like physical withdrawal...but to not lie myself and others i think I had some benzos at the time and as i look at my history of ordering I ordered some when was on pregabalin and then effects changed like I only would be in like manic state(listening music, or watching some videos, movies) and in 2-3 hrs i would need to redose till I puked cause of acidity you know. But those last were from another vendor(European which were not that good as ND.
So for now I'm good and will see how it goes

Apologies if this has been asked before, I've done some searching and not found quite what I'm looking for.

I've recently been prescribed pregabalin for anxiety after being bounced between a bunch of worthless SSRIs for 6 years. Am currently on 150mg 2 times a day and it's working pretty well. I'm just wondering if anyone with experience with a pregabalin prescription can weigh in on a few questions I have.

Is there a tendency to have withdrawal symptoms from a missed dose? I had that with venlafaxine and it sucked. So far I've only skipped doses to go drinking now and again and I noticed I was a maybe a bit more on edge until I started drinking. I'm torn as it's working wonders for me but I'm not keen on being severely dependent on a med again. Would it be a good idea to skip the odd dose to keep tolerance down?

Has anyone come off of this dose? I've searched and mostly just found withdrawal reports from high recreational doses or long term use. Is it worse the higher the dose or the longer you're on it?

Does it mix well with other drugs? I'm particularly curious about psychedelics, I've heard of people taking phenibut before trips with good results. All I know is that drinking on pregabalin fucking sucks.

So yeah, if anyone with experience with a pregab prescription could weigh in it'd be much appreciated. Cheers!

I find tolerance to pregabalin rises quickly but that's not to say it wouldn't still help with anxiety but you may not "feel" it as when you first start taking and it sort of feels like a drunk feeling without sedation. People do report pretty bad withdrawals from long term use. Personally I'd say they should only be used as needed, like benzos. Taking them habitually is only going to be problematic long term. As it's prescribed I guess you can have some reassurance of supply but it doesn't mean the problem of dependence is any different.

It's surprising how pregabalin feels completely different if I eat a light meal beforehand. On an empty stomach it's an intoxicating, tense, manic and mildly psychedelic experience. With food it turns into a much longer lasting clear headed stimulant, with a touch of cognitive euphoria. Physical euphoria is higher on the empty stomach, but cognitive euphoria and feelings of wellbeing are significantly lower. I've repeated this experiment quite a few times, it's a consistent experience of mine.

I've abused Pregabalin for 3 and a half years, and I'm prescribed it now for nerve pain, and I've never ever experienced "intoxicating, tense, manic and mildly psychedelic" effects that you just spoke about. I've also never had an effect you describe as a "longer lasting clear headed stimulant, with a touch of cognitive euphoria" if taken with food. The max I was taking was 900mg per day but the effects don't really change after 600mg. Now I only take 150mg per day but sometimes order more to mix with opioids etc (which can be lethal so watch out). So what I'd like to know is, what doses are you taking? and are you definitely taking Pregabalin?

It's very subtle, some ppl(like you) don't experience the euphoria at all.

It's more mildly drunk if you're lucky, which isn't...to my understanding of the word "euphoric".

That feeling would only be euphoric to someone who's never taken anything.

I have bipolar disorder, so that manic euphoric feeling for me is most likely related to that. I also get closed eye visuals from it too. It's definitely pregabalin, I've tried many different sources and suppliers. I get a vaguely similar effect from phenibut, but less manic and not as enjoyable. Oh I also lose the effects completely if I take it two days in a row. Every 3rd day seems to keep them.

hi mate nerve pain patient here too unfortunately :(

Can you please tell me how are you coping with nerve pain? for how long have you been suffering? is pregabalin really an effective cure?

I tried it but really can't bare it so much that prefer little heroin to relieve pain and I switched to vitamins and other supplements as a cure, I'm a little disheartened so I'd like to hear your experience.

Yeah pregab give me a drunken feeling and like I smoked a doobie on top of it. Also I get "shaky" if taking 300mg or above. After a couple years on pregab (at 100mg twice a day) it still gives me a "buzz" as I do not take it every day. I take kratom too so that helps also with the "high".
Eating fatty foods before or after definitley increases the effects. seems the more I eat the "higher" I get. Strange drug, IMO.
Come up time between eating and not before/after dose is not remarkable enough to remark on it. lol
Just my experienes.
Best wishes and be safe?
Peace

Hi mate,

I've had nerve pain in my left calf for 20 years from an accident. I've got nerve pain in my left shoulder from 2 failed operations on a left bankhart repair (torn), and I've got nerve pain in my left arm as the result of cortisone steroid injections from a pain specialist that was supposed to make my shoulder better but actually introduced a new problem. The way I manage it, though not fully, is 150mg Pregabalin, 10mg Amitritilyne and 200mg Tramadol per day. This combination honestly provides the best relief for me personally. However, you should be aware of a couple of obvious things which you may or may not know: once your body has got used to these drugs, particularly the pregabalin, it is extremely difficult to come off of..even with the tiniest increments in a taper this shit does wild things to your brain like voodoo and you wouldn't believe the consequences of trying to come off of it. But, my nerve pain was beyond being manageable with any one or two of the other meds I mentioned so I will be on them for life. My physiotherapist told me even the smallest of nerve damage can take up to 9 years to heal. I'm 42, and I've got it in 3 places..so I aint stopping these meds for love nor money. I would honestly suggest trying low dose amytritilyne first, that works for a lot of people, 10mg is really low, I was on 50mg but brought it down. I should mention I had chemo last year and that made everything worse, so I know even more definitely that I won't be stopping the meds.

Hope at least one piece of information gives you one progressive thought.

All the best!

S.A

Always take on empty stomach i finally quit after couple of years on it but today done 600 mg and im feeling it finally ate now was hungry but it fucks the buzz up
That's interesting because my experience the opposite. If I take it on an empty stomach I get shaky like the other poster said, and I have this weird feeling of inner tension which ruins the benefits.

How often do you take it? If I take it for 2 days in a row, I seem to lose all the good effects. So I always leave 1-6 days in between doses.

I take them once a week now i you are right past day 2 it loses its value because of tolerance. I was taking at one point 60 300 mg a day 15 just to start the day 31 years i had been using and even 10 years of continuous meth use did not mess me up as much as pregabalin nearly destroyed my kidneys mind was gone . Once a week is good you will not get addicted I can do a heroin wd standing on my head but a pregabalin wd scares the fuck out of me

You took 60 x 300mg per day?! I'm surprised that didn't kill you, I've never heard of anyone taking that much

How on earth can one abuse pregab for years? I was prescribed it twice, first time 300mg were like being drunken, first time 900 I got all this manic dissociative goodness and I am not manic by nature. But after some time of 600mg/d all the effects were gone for good. Up to 2g nothing, then a grand mal like seizure. You are lucky to survive 18 fucking grams...

But what might answer the OPs question is that pregabalin gets actively transported into the blood by a transporter in the gut, so taking it with a meal will change the absorption.

That was the highest i went i had brought indian signuture pregabs for 50 p each had tousands of them i would wake in morning take 15 300 mg straight off then through the day take 4 more packets of 15 300 mg . I was getting off the heroin and it took that much to help because i have been using them since i first stopped heroin in 2018 .When i pissed in toilet it had a head on it like beer my joints hurt felt like i had water on the lungs and in morning i could hear water moving in body my eye lid had swelled with fluid rough time got of it with 6 month taper and diazepam

I get euphoria on it if tolerance low and it the best drug to listen to music to but i know some people who feel nothing
