Yeah, Putin is talking a lot of shit because he KNOWS Europe and the US needs Russia's gas; no one wants to suddenly be cut off from that supply. So I think he believes that he can do what he wants, and only get sanctions.

But now I'm a little concerned. Sure, it's was kind of a pissing contest at first, but I see that things are escalating now. Wait a minute! In all honesty, I'm not THAT concerned. Do I care about the Ukraine? Nope. Why? Because it's the height of hypocrisy for the US to accuse Putin of being a warmonger and dictator when we invade whoever we want, anytime we want.

Let him have the Ukraine and keep the West's Russian gas supply flowing. Fuck the Ukraine..

Yeah, Putin is talking a lot of shit because he KNOWS Europe and the US needs Russia's gas; no one wants to suddenly be cut off from that supply. So I think he believes that he can do what he wants, and only get sanctions.

I oppose it as a human being, as normal people are having their lives blown apart by this conflict. Not just in the Ukraine, but all across the world with the economic ramifications.

Just because America has done some whack shit, doesn't make Putin some great liberator or a positive figure in any sense of the word, and it doesn't preclude them from intervening in some fashion to stop it.

I do not understand the point you are trying to make. It sounds like an attempt at some kind of "whataboutism" and/or some non-point about fuck all politicians. I am simply saying that Putin is the primary bad actor here. I know that the situation is not black and white; that neither sides hands are completely clean, but trying to say that Putin's actions and that of NATO/Ukraine are somehow equivalent is disingenuous at best.

Zelenski is the head of a sovereign nation and he is trying to prevent Putin from being able to bomb his country from altitudes above 10,000 ft (Ukraine does not have the technology to take out high flying fixed-wing aircraft). Air superiority is everything in modern warfare. I agree that a NATO-imposed No-fly zone would be a mistake and an escalation, with that said, it is entirely understandable why Zelenski is making this request. I might also note that Putin is the one putting his nuclear forces on alert and even shelled the largest nuclear powerplant in Europe.

Russia got themselves in a mess - the Ukrainians hate them and they have a reason to fight, they're being fed weapons, and they're dug in...the rooskies still haven't taken control of the skies...and then once the russians claim to capture areas, they're gonna have to deal with on-going resistance - probably forever



and just so ya all know, i don't care who says they're nazis or nationalists - if that helps them defend their country, so be it - being proud is exactly what they need to be right now
