I'm fully on board with the fact that much of the elite in the West is composed of a bunch of narcissists and psychos who'd sell Granny for a dime and who like to play meddlesome war games all over the world.

I can even sympathise with the admiration some have for Putin and what he says/brings.

But c'mon, there's no justification for blowing the crap out of Ukraine and its people in such a one-sided conflict. It's impressive they've held out so long as it is, but they really don't stand a chance long-term against all that man and firepower.

I really hope they all seriously get to the negotiating table and call a ceasefire ASAP, before any more innocent folks just trying to go about their everyday lives have to die to satisfy the egomaniacal whims of a few rich folks.

They are poking the bear, again and again. And then some more. And then again. And again.

And our response was "fuck off", not as harsh, but that was the essence.

Yeah it should be obsolete, but both Russia and US do it,

there was nothing to be gained from taking allies away from Russia other than to poke the bear, the opposite is true actually we had to spend lots of money to bring those countries to NATO standards,
i.e armed to the teeth.

NATO let Germany in. Ex-Nazi Germany. But not Russia.

They want war in Europe. They want to be at a point where we all have to clash with Russia so Russia gets weakened.
I mean stay with your opinion, it's not the US that is going to be fucked if this war starts.

It is so obvious that this whole situation was provoked by the West.

These units are not permanently based in the region, are in line with Allies’ international commitments, and amount to around 5,000 troops. I wonder what China will do though, I don't think they expected Russia to invade, it's an ugly position to be in. Denouncing would be the way to go and would help with relations with the West, but on the other hand, staying allied to Russia guarantees them a loyal and reliable ally, which will be hard to find in the West with the US running things.

Too many people are treating this as spectacle, and instead of recognizing that innocent people getting blown to hell, they're using this as a thing to idk make valid political analysis and own everybody? Fuck that.

Ukraine did not do anything wrong. I mean yeah the Nationalists, yada yada,
there's nationalists everywhere.

They just made the wrong friends
Said friends set a trap and the bear took the bait. And Ukraine's going to burn,
unless they find a diplomatic solution, which is a fairy tale at this moment.
