Ugh now I feel like shit in a covid sort of way. Achey body, werd/scratchy throat, no fever but malaise. Not nearly as much as the first time I got it. Actually in a weird way, this might help me with the whole opiate business... I already feel bad, I might as well just use the minimum necessary to keep myself away from the RLS.

Crossing my fingers you didn't get it from me/us, Delsyd. <3
Again? Good luck...

Here the government has decided we can dance again
Praying for the line-ups 🙏🙏
I'm amazed at the 'return to normal' going on lately. Amazon and Walmart announced they're getting rid of mask mandates. I still feel grossed out by people so I'm gonna continue masking up for some time.

My at-home test is positive. Ah well, at least I'm getting it out of the way. Musicians are pretty high risk and after this my girlfriend won't worry so much about it. At least, once she stops being really worried short term :\
This might actually help y'all in your relationship stress. I hope it smoothes things out for you two! ❤️

Probably a good idea - the flu strain this year sounds nasty. Omicron is ludicrously infectious anyway, so really the you just have to be phenomenally lucky not to get it. My extended family all got it and when they contact traced they found that it came from golfing with someone that was infectious, supposedly all outdoors. If that's actually true, then that's the first case of outdoor transmission that I have heard of, although I'm sure there have to be others.

I'm quite sure outdoor transmission happens, it just is a lot more rare. Really all it takes is breathing in some moisture exhaled from an infected person, or touching something they got virus on, and touching your eyes/nose/mouth.

Yeah I think it's meant to be on average 7x less transmissible outdoors

Ah man, my throat hurts so much, this is crazy. I feel mostly better now from covid, but my throat feels like it has an open wound in it. It burns in one little spot when I eat or drink water. it also feels tender on the outside on that spot, slightly, and hurts on the inside when I put my fingers on that spot on the outside. I can't see anything, it's a little too deep in there. Pretty weird, it feels most similar to when I had chicken pox at age 13, and had some pox in my throat, except that was worse. Hope it goes away soon. I woke up feeling pretty much fine except for that.

Could be strep throat. Which is bacterial. and antibiotics work against it. You might see white pustules on the throat opening. You can get it cultured to see if that what it is.

But I've irritated my throat before and it was just strained muscles. From singing screaming.

I have thought of that, but I had a positive covid test and was exposed, plus I haven't had strep since I was 15 (I used to get it a lot, and now never get it even when I'm exposed). And also my throat got really irritated from smoking some cigarettes, and I am not feeling sick anymore

Man, this sore throat is seriously bad though. If it doesn't start getting better in a couple of days I'll go in just to make sure. Once it's been 5 days for the quarantine period anyway. Strep can be really bad news if you don't take care of it. I really doubt it is, though.

I have some free time and a piano. Anyone with some ideas what to learn to play on it. Should be free on the internet and no Pop music.
