It makes you think when I read stuff like that, my longest break ever had been 15 days since 11 & I will be 41 in November. WTF I've done to myself I dread to think.

When I read stuff like that from blinding I have to salute to a 4 Star General. To use a Burroughs term you are one of the 103rd Street Boys.

Its a fair point. Which should go without saying, but it doesn't and the point runs deeper too.

It's about direction. Not immediate gratification.

And ultimate reward. Nothing about an easy path though.

I'd have figured this part of EADD would be full of people moaning it's as bad out there like back in the mid 2000's but I'm barking to myself.

I don't get it, I'm based right in the middle of this foul island & the gear would flow like water through this town, it was nothing to have 5-7 texts a day from various dealers saying "On & about, best in town" etc & now all the phones are off, I saw this coming a few weeks ago when my most trusted man ran out & his been on once for a few hours before some shit went down. A couple of bad men I'll not name incase anyone ever views their names & figures out who I ma etc are robbing them, the irony is the last bit of gear I had was pure bash, it was as red as blood on the foil.

When the Pakistan & Afghan boys are off you know it's bad, I refuse to score gear off Yardies as it's always shit (imho)
 
What really made me laugh one of the bad men (his near equal to Mexican cartel &I'm not joking) robbed someone for all his gear, he must have been thinking he was sitting on real weight as they usually have at least 100 of each on them, what he didn't know was the guy had rang me 2 days ago asking for me to ring someone else I know a bit higher up "the food chain" to get some tips on if they could go shopping together, what he had left had been bashed at least 40%.

The bandit must have been so pissed off to find out his several hundred grams was nothing but violin polish.

I only use 3 numbers - 2 deliver out to my house (along with weed) but have generally weak stuff (although the whtes are always fine) but not fake by any extent while the 3rd is my go to, based in the city. They have sold standard ('pre - 2010') strength wonk since I first started checking them in 2008 (with an obvious break for about 5 months between Oct. 2010 & Feb / March 2011) and as of 4 days ago still do. The yoots sell rubbish as people buy it, along with the fact that they did not know how strong standard heroin was to begin with.
 
All is (surprisingly, and relatively) ok in Dublin as long as you know where to look. My numbers for the notably good stuff have been deleted now but there were, amongst my connections, two types:

One is shamefully danced on with that horrid mannitol (though which has just enough actual gear in it to hold you if you're going through it) which is of course only making the rounds because idiots keep buying it due to having burned their bridges with the connections with the half-decent stuff (and I use that term due to the gear never having fully returned to what it was before that infamous drought in 2010 - or at least it hasn't from my connections which aren't what they used to be due to me deleting numbers/changing my own those times I got sober between then and now) and/or have been buying it for so long that their tolerance has dropped low enough that they're happy enough with it. Its sometimes a slightly lighter shade than the better stuff until you tack it to the foil, but you know upon that first inhale that its the sub-par stuff as you don't feel the 'strength' in the back of your throat. Additionally, when it dries on the foil it doesn't have the shine to it that the better stuff has, having more of a matte/dull finish to it. Coupled with that, it has the consistency of sticky toffee too if you get me.

The other is decent enough but not what I'd call a worthy contender to pre-2010 drought gear, however its satisfying enough to go back for more. Doesn't last as long as pre-drought product either. Indeed their likely is better product out their on the streets but as I said, I deleted my contacts several times and lost my one solid connection to the one guy who had consistently high quality product a few years back (and I'm glad as I'm trying to stay the hell away from the stuff).

Over the course of my last run I only had three numbers and one for the mannitol cut product that was just good enough to hold you in a pinch, and the other two were pretty much the same - one was a little stronger than the other but personally I think they were both likely from the same source but the guy I'd get mine from 90% of the time was likely stepping on it just a little bit which I didn't really mind as it was still strong enough to justify paying the €20 a bag and he was only around the corner as opposed to the other guy who was, albeit only a single stop away on the metro and a short stroll up the canal away, that extra distance is still too far away when you absolutely positively need that stuff that instant - not to mention the closer connect gave me credit where as the other guy worked on a cash only basis which all to often didn't suit me.

Someone else from Dublin might tell you different, but at least that's how it was from my POV. In reality it likely varies regionally within Dublin and I'd say Dublin's your best bet for getting the best stuff anyway as that's where the eagle tends to land. I wouldn't even bother looking outside of Dublin, personally. Any other Irish here that can fill me in on what the H situations like outside of Dublin? Obviously I'm not looking for mad detail, but even on a County/City basis - just out of moderate curiosity.

What is the gear scene like in Ireland?

I would assume the UDF would break your knees if you were caught with it tbh.

As for the gear scene in Ireland, that post your quoted from me should give you an idea of what its like in Dublin at the very least, however as for the rest of Ireland I couldn't tell you. In fact its been well over a year since I've bought anything outside my own area code, but of the stuff I have bought its coming from outside my own area code in Dublin.

I'm looking into how the rest of the country is doing (from as far away as possible) so when I find out I'll update here.
Hows it going around your area? Where in Britain are you from yourself (if indeed Britain at all)?

Haha I used to be addicted, and am not now. (By which I mean I use only on weekends and don't feel a compulsive desire for it these days.) But yep I can still tell subtle differences ie if I got fent or not. That 's something that stays with you regardless. You can always tell

that explains it then fair enough bro I think it's deck possible to stay away from it with me I need to stay fully away from it or if I use get the smallest possible because it's so tempting to keep smoking it I have half an egg or something I've actually gone on a pretty heavy binge for some time now can't remember how but a couple weeks now daily except for the odd day or two where I just have methadone it's definitely my biggest binge in a long time I am however having a lot of stress atm everything and almost everyone seems to be against me, oh and someone very close to me has died which hasn't even fully sunk in yet think I'm still in shock I know this is the worst way of dealing with it but there you go this morning it all just starting sinking in a bit and I just swallowed a handful of diazepam because I couldn't handle it

The ira control fuck all and have no say in dublin, they might have influence up the north or in border counties but not down here. The last lad collecting protection for the ira was told to fuck off and was shot dead with no comeback from the ra. Google Alan Ryan dublin. Muppet.
