Oh I think I got confused by the "wife and I" comment, I guess I forgot about jokes for a second. Plus it looks kinda CGI or something but I'm guessing it's a display at some place you took a picture of now that I think about it. Alright I'll put it in, sorry.

Yes, it was a Halloween display in a local pub. The lighting was brilliant and I think that shows up really well, which probably explains why it looks enhanced.

i should've taken a picture of when my mom brought fruits home 'hold the bag' she said as a worm motherfucker went into my finger and hurt like a bitch, and i had to cut the fucker out with a knife out of my arm, while hearing her screaming OMG AMBULANCE AMBULANCE YOURE CRAZY while i was calm saying, can you please hold a flashlight for me so i can see where my veins are and remove it properly

I think you would have needed a VR camera for that or at least a camcorder
 
I think if anyone I knew was asking me to hold a basket of fruit that they claimed a worm bit their finger from and ended up in their arm, so they could cut it out of their arm with a knife, I'd have called an ambulance too. 8o I imagine that situation could have produced some pretty dramatic still shots though...

Yeah it just closed. Submissions stay open for almost a month usually. As soon as this one is over, another will begin.

You don't know what the theme is though until it's posted.

You had to cut a worm out of your arm? I hope that's a joke based on the knowledge that insects crawling under the skin is a hallucination common to people having taken too much of the stims at once?
