☛ Official ☚ The Big & Dandy Methoxetamine / MXE Thread - Part 17 - South-Kansas is going bye-bye

^Hahahahah. I just love how haunting their music is on MXE. One time while I listened to their album "Geogaddi" I had an insane breakthrough which I believe was facilitated by their music. Idk... to each their own as they say %) that album is 66 min 6 seconds, I know they did that just to fuck with everyone, but man... hahah.

I recommend oral over nasal big time....this one is just way better orally! Like night and day difference
Of course if you like boofing stuff there is always that...

I find MXE to be a hard one to pin down. It's been just over over three years since my first trials, and I have used intermittently throughout those three years. Space between uses has allowed for lack of tolerance build up. All dosages have been oral except in some cases when insufflation has been used, usually just for the fun of it. The first thing I've noticed is the potential for dysphoria. I think I've had an equal number of dysphoric experiences as I've had euphoric experiences on it. All of them have been in appropriate sets/settings. I can't quite find the confounding variable. Second thing I've noticed is that the same dosage will yield different subjective effects each time I dose. For example, in some cases 30-50mg gives me psychedelic headspace with unusual thought patterns, point of view displacement, and appreciation for art; other times the dosage will feel numbing and confusing with little other psychoactive activity. Some times I can feel quite healing thought patterns being produced, other times they tend toward the negative. Sometimes it relieves anxiety, other times it induces anxiety.

Main thing I'd note is that MXE has very little inherent character of its own. It is best used to modulate other drugs. When I take MXE by itself I find the effects by turns dull, uninteresting, confusing, empty. For example, at low doses, I find it uninteresting because it mostly acts as a stimulant. Which is fine, but it's not what I'm looking for out of dissociatives. At high doses I mostly get confused and worried. On the other hand, my most positive experiences have come from combining it. Now here is where things with MXE's lack of inherent character get mouth-wateringly intriguing. Because you can make MXE do or be almost anything. For example, if you'd like a functional psychedelic high for the day, look no further than combining a micro-dose of LSD (maybe 10-20mcg) with a small dose of MXE and some cannabis. For more psychedelia, you can up the doses on either the LSD or the MXE, or both, but take note that functionality will quickly decrease as the dosages are increased and you can find yourself in a full-fledged trip pretty easily. Of course a full tripping dose of LSD combined with MXE is itself quite good, but some days just aren't meant to shatter your mind, so the micro-dose procedure is a nice middle ground for those who like getting psychedelic.

I know this will not necessarily be a popular opinion but I find that MXE mixes great with alcohol and cannabis. And I'm not talking about one or two beers for the night, I'm talking about a night of drinking. The experience will be different depending on how much MXE you dose. I've found that dosing a small amount of MXE on a night of drinking can have excellent effects on sociability, euphoria, and energy. In this capacity it acts much like a stimulant, and I find it sharpens the drunken high and takes away that sickly element of being drunk. Dosing a full dose of MXE during a night of drinking is another beast altogether, but the combination is seriously euphoric and basically becomes a psychedelic drunkenness, particularly when mixed with plenty of cannabis. MXE preserves what I like about alcohol's psychoactive effects and minimizes the felt side-effects. Mind you, this combination is severely dehydrating and one should approach it with due caution. If I'm not careful with it I can have dehydration effects for a week afterward. I would never advise anyone to mix alcohol and MXE in the way I do, as everyone needs to know their own limits and how they respond to drugs. Again, the combination is severely dehydrating and so appropriate cautions should be taken.

Anyway, these have been some of my findings with MXE. I originally delved into MXE with the intention of using it in a more entheogenic fashion but I have simply not found it to be a useful material in that regard. It never gives me too much insight into anything, except when mixed with mushrooms but then I just assume it's mostly the mushrooms.

I've had batches of MXE that seemed dull and uninteresting on their own but still made a great combo with other drugs, as well as batches of MXE that are pure magic on their own. MXE is a strange beast, I am convinced there is something going on with different batches having a different range of effects. I generally relegate such perceived differences to placebo effect, but since the different batches I've experienced also have a different appearance and taste, while all still testing positive as MXE, I think polymorphism of the molecule may play a role. After all, it's been shown that an AIDS medication (I think it's an AIDS medication, I can't be bothered right now to dig this reference up) that is polymorphic is only effective in one of its forms. To me this proves it's possible for the specific crystal structure of a substance to change the effects, in substances that are able to form various crystal structures (ie, are polymorphic).

I find any batch of MXE to be hit or miss at times. Sometimes I feel it's impossible to guarantee a good experience out of it, but I do think I get mostly positive in overall numbers. I dunno, it's a weird drug, that's probably why I love it. I find having a similar set and setting each time helps to create the experience I desire more consistently.

I also find that with more frequent use, the effects are more consistent and enjoyable.

For what it's worth, I've basically been using the same batch for the last two years and even then it's hit or miss. My only assumption, not being one for metaphysical musings, is that it has more to to do with diet/tolerance than we realize. My set and setting is essentially a constant throughout my experiences - my bed, Friday/Saturday night.

I've tried oral/nasal/both and it seems that each time I'm rolling the die between a beautiful experience and something uninspiring.

I plan on lining out 250mg for insufflating this Friday night. It's been since May 27th since I've had a dissociative due to my recent hexen/2fa/4fa experimentation, but that seems to be taking a toll on my heart (I admit it might be purely psychological), so I want to give that a rest this weekend.

blue_applesauce, I definitely think you're right about tolerance playing a huge role in the type of experience MXE gives, or any disso for that matter really.

I'm one of the unfortunates that wound up with the long term tolerance issues so am a bit more sensitive to this phenomenon, maybe?

Whenever I hear people talk about "dark mxe" I tend to think they're experiencing some tolerance issues because the same batch that felt amazing for me ends up feeling a lot different once I've used up my small amount of dissociative credits for that period of time. It's not exclusively a decrease in effects I'm referring to, but generally a change in tone of the experiences.

I don't think people realize how quickly tolerance dulls the magic of these substances, and it's like any other substance, the more space you have between sessions - the more likely it is to give you that sparkle. My perfect pattern of use would ideally be a handful of times a year.

There was a time where I thought there was such a thing as dark mxe and light mxe. However, those theories were quickly dismissed with further research. I adjusted the verbiage to say there are only dark experiences and light experiences, and the material, while it is one componant, is only a slice of all the variables in determining the nature or outcome of the experience. The material itself is best categorized in a way that allows more than one characteristic along a spectrum of black/white. Metaphorically it is more of a color scale in addition to a luminance scale. From that perspective our state of mind and environment can duly be characterized by this sort of dynamic color and luminance scale, so as you can imagine the predictability becomes a bit difficult when all these colors are mixed together, but sometimes the stars align, and equal levels of green, blue and red are mixed together to create a perfect white lightness.

As for the tolerance factor, the essence, or spirit (or magic), can still be tapped into regardless of tolerance. The way and ease of accessing it, and the quality of the reception (qualia) will change and evolve with continued use for any number of reasons- psychological, physiological or spiritual shifts in lifewave tuning result from overusing MXE without a period of returning to an organic or baseline level of tuning. There is a sweet spot in tolerance in which desired tuning is most easily accessed. Too low tolerance and it is difficult to control, but once you have tuned successfully many times, theres only so much more tuning that can be achieved (because you are already there) so the perceived effect will be diminished.

Sorry for ramble its early morning.

Plugged 30mg mxe earlier.

Just has something I do not get from K , o pce, 3 meo. A little bit of magic that just makes everything seem allright.

Tinfoil hat and all, but something about universe cops checkin me after feeling as if I stumbled into places I wasnt expected to be (no not from 30mg, it did happen more than once though) makes me wonder why this really dissappeared.

I know the feeling yepyep, when in hyperspace act as if you have the credentials, and the hyperspace police will wave you by...

As for the synch book, it is currently a tangled mess of synchronicities. Slowly unwinding the knots...

I hope this doesn't count as vendor discussion, but what keeps chemists to synth MXE in countries where it is still legal? I heard the synth is similar to ketamine, but with either one less step or one more. It's a big golden treasure and nobody seems to be wanting to open it? Why is that? Are the compounds to expensive? I bet there are many people that are willing to pay prices up to 100$/g for some good new MXE. Can anyone fill?

well I don't know about the crystal structure of MXE in solid state, but when a compound like that is in solution, they will be solvated completely, and, in aqueous solution (ie blood) will be surrounded by mostly water molecules (there are 3 sites on MXE which can form hydrogen bonds). to me, as a chemistry student, this polymorphism stuff sound highly unlikely.

maybe there is something going on with enantiomer ratio in different batches. mxe is a chiral molecule after all.

Yeah I'm sure it has to do more with enantiomer ratio. Not polymorphism. This has actually even been gone over and the polymorphism idea was tossed awhile ago.

It has entanimers but who cares, in a sense! Insufflated though? Watse of good MXE! Snorted is leat effective IMO. Oral, plugged, IM, those are by far the best!
^ well different enantiomers might have different pharmacological profiles (ie ketamine, amphetamine,...). so a varying enantiomer ratio might bring about different effects from batch to batch, even if they all test as pure MXE. analysing a batch for enantiomer ratio is more work so I guess it's not being done...
