Well boys, im done. Im so fucking frustrated its crazy!! My little spot wasnt giving this morning so i went for spot on other side. Remember that i used up my right side but its healed. From front it looked like brown mark but from side it looked like a vein. Took awhile but finally blood and lots of flow. I pushed and it was wonderful!!!! I had 20mg in there too. So great i couldnt wait for me next shot. I patiently waited till 3. Hit same vein but different spot, tons of flow again.....and nothing. I got so pissed i loaded up 16mg and poked for an hr and had 5 bloddy cottonballs. Both sides, legs, arm, wrist, everywhere. Im very well hydrated so thats not it. Hell i was just looking for blood period. I went back to my spot and its like a little cirle of scabs. I stuck right in middle and yes it was crunchy when i entered. Got blood and flashback and pushed and got a tiny buzz. Blood everywhere. How the hell can blood pour out of a site i was in but none goes in the syringe. Its dark venous bliod. Im at a loss. I know best way to find a vein is feel for that spongy bounce back under skin. Shit aint worth the trouble for 20second high even though the high is wonderful. Wasting pills and going thru syringes. I used 3 today cause they were locking up on me so i just transfered to new syringe. Sometime some blood makes solution pink but i can still see blood. Man, i woulsd say i get high 5% of time. Thats bullshit and i dont see it worth it with all the risks if iv'ing. I still want to cause im addicted to the whole proccess man and at this point in my life it the only thing i have. Im already 2.5 days short at end of pill cycle which will be hell. I still have my morphine but its not gonna be fun. Im envious of people who have huge veins and can pop one everytime. I really hate this cause ive become addicted to a 20 sec high. Never tried H but Dilaudid is super. Just gonna take 16 orally for awhile and heal up. Im up to alternatives. Fucking sucks. Well see hot it goes. Any ideas?
 
try plugging it, better BA than oral. I know the frustration you're going through man and I feel it, at some point you get sick of sitting somewhere for three hours at a time just getting bloodier and bloodier, you'r shot's getting clogged, having to refilter them to the point where if you do get the shot in, most of the drug has been lost. I've even cried in frustration.

bud, can I ask.. why dont you shoot your arms/hands? you mentioned legs and abs. are you arms and hands that far gone? or even neck?

sounds like you are just going for veins that a junkie would go to that ran out of the rest but at the same time they are not hitting right it seems. just weird.

what size needle do you use for the leg? 1.5?

OTHERS: what size pins do you use for arm? hand?
 
Reason i went to sides of abdomen cause i didnt have anywhere else to go. I saw clusters of veins there and they worked. I hit my legs alot before but did other day and hit but no high and it really hurt. I started with myvhands and their torched. Veins used to pop out of them but not now. Just dead dicolorations. Im using a 3ml 27 gauge. I know, big. But crushing up these pills yields a lot. I would say 20mg ends up being 2-2.5 ml. If i do 16 its 1ml. I had the weirdist day. First shot was glorious and afternoon and tonight were flops. I missed one. I was sliding needle out and usually i do it slow all the way and i twitched and it came out with blood. That coulda been the one. Then i went to switch syringes and shit blew up in my face. So i did more and had some blood and flashback little buzz. Ive looked at my neck but dont see anything. If i had some 31 gauge or something i might try it. My arms are shit. Just that one in crook of arm that deep but my needles are long so i tried other night and still got marks. I have to get blood drawn at dr tomorrow so i didnt wanna makevit worse. Maybe i can ask them, haha. Junkie asking phebotomist where to draw blood. My left arm one time took 6 nurses to get iv in. They roll over there. Forearms are shit too. I can see the veins and i enter pointing my heart at angle and i thinkbi got some blood once. Dude, this is only thing i have in my life right now which is sad but when i have a day like this when im teased with high, really high thisvmorning than nothing it really just brings me down. Im prescibed 6 pills a day and i used 8.5 today so im about 12 pills behind. Thats 2 days that will catch up later. I dont have the disipline to take two pills orally. I have appt on 8th at pain clinic so ill have to stop for couple of days and take normally or my levels will be jacked up. Its a mess. I think about last Monday when i shot 6 pills the whole day and got high on every one of them. And next morning. All this shit for 20 sec high. But i feel better for awhile after. I wont do ankles cause i did that shit once and couldnt walk next day. I wish i could shoot these morphine pills but er makes it really tough. Fuck that. Im not trying to cook anything. Good thing i dont do H or id be wasting that shit. I tried that wrist vein. The needle was a big thing but i never got shit from that. Ive looked at diagrams but can equate them to my body. I saw dude today that had veins bulging veins all over and i wanted to hit him. Well, thats about it. Yourevright, junkie using spots cause cant get blood flow anywhere else. I know im a tough case. My little cirle was hitting great but theres a bumpnunder it now. Man when i pull needle outbit gushes blood. Out of 50 or so sticks i think i had two that didnt bleed. I dont get that. They bleed like crazy after but no blood is sucked up in syringe. Dude, im only at this 4 months so i guess theres a learning curve. Anyway, thanks man!!
 
tie that arm off and flex; you'll have plenty, man, esp. if you have not shot your arms before. when I had my dilaudid its where shot; I was shooting about 24-32MG/shot because I only had a small script and was trying to keep it as "clean" as can be w/ those shots. of course the crease of the arm but biceps, forearms, crease and bicep, etc. you just seem to be missing out on the easier areas of hitting.

you know more about dilaudid shots than I do but just seems weird your plan of attack.

anyway, I just had a bloody massacre a second ago. putting a shot into the bicep and couldnt ht the same vein, so as I pulled up it went into a vein so blood filled, but before I pushed I double checked and NOTHING, so I pull back again, more blood, check again, NOTHING. so now I have a pin w/ more blood than water, so its an auto jam waiting to happen, but I keep checking around, of course. finally find one and only get 1/3 shot off before clogged. had to switch pins and it was almost a pitch black shot at this point but finally got it off into the arm and feeling nice now, even tho I shot more blood than dope. damn! sucks when u run out of veins but oh well, it was a bloody mess but its been a bit since that but just happen to happen now as I write on this thread.
 
Well now that im free and clear to try my arm i will this afternoon. I have a turnoquiot already. If i dont see them should i go lower than crook intead of in it? Well see. Ill tie off tight and flex real good. Hopefully ill hit it. I got away with one this morning. I had a little blood come in but no flash so i said fuck it and pushed and dam syringe locked but it released but i was halfway in by then so i didnt expect shit and got a nice high. Maybe payback from yesterday. I really liked those spots cause easy to hide, like a bicep would be but having marks in crook i dont like. Got lots of neosporin. That stuff is magic on track marks. Ill let you know how it goes!!
 
My first day off the needle. Fuck!!! Grumpy and discontent. Ivthought it would be a good idea to count my oills and i was 26 short. So for next 6 days just one 8mg in morning. I still got my morphine so im not in full withdrawl and considering i miss most of my shots, screw it. Its slightly better than being out for 10 days. Its truly amazing the hold that needle has over my mind. Everything from crushing the pills to shooting. I tried the arm and it was a bloddy mess. I tied of tight, saw and felt vein, went in at perfect angle and nothing. I dug and dug and justvnothing. Tried my forearms and biceps and nothing. I have marks all over me and im going to Dr for sure Friday. Ive been coating with neosporin and its actually working. Maybe its good i had a really bad shooting day. The worst i ever had by far. It makes taking a break easier. I have bumps and bruises everywhere. Prob these swords i use. I felt fine in the morning then about 2 it kicked in. Not only physical but mental too. Whats one shot gonns hurt andvshit like that. I must sound like a newbie and i am as far as shooting is concearned but im an experienced addict so when i was supposed to have 102 pills left and i had like 77 i knew i was in for it. Im hoping this gets me off for good. Ever since i started this shit ive become super introverted and very emotional. My whole day revolves aroung hitting a dam vein. After all that last night i went to my spot and got beautiful splatter and went to shoot and syringe locked up. I got it in bot had to move and sure i slipped out cause nothing. That was it for me. Today i went to Starbucks and lioked for a job. It was pretty cool. Ill check in in a few days. Wish me luck!!
 
This thread is becoming my own personal journal. I went 2 days without shooting and my target was 6 to catch up on my pills. Ive been up since 4 and was going crazy so i just shot. As long as i only use 2 more pills today im on track. See, if i miss ill load up another one but i wont compensate and do less later or next day. I know better. Ive had morphine but no dilaudid and it still sucks. Got one in my bicep. Holding the syringe was akward but buzz was good probably in a fresh vein. It was million and one shot cause it was not a bulging vein. It was tiny and with my big needles i never would have thought it would have hit. Cant go back. Theres like a half dollar size bruise there already. The neosporin took care of my crook marks. I dont want marks there. Finally going to Dr and usually they prick my finger but if my numbers are off i have to go get it out of my arm. If thats so im gonna watch where they go it and angle. Then later ill have a mark to go by. Last time i shot Tuesday it was weird. I got my cotton ball cause i was pulling out and i was almost out and blood shot in there so i went back in but couldnt get any flash so i dont know what i hit but it burned. I gotta go back to 29 gauge. These 25's are tearing me up. The pharmacy raised the price from 23 cents a syringe to 50. Thats just crazy. Since im using an im needle maybe they have different 3ml syringes. If they had like a 27 or 28 that would be great. Gotta be 3ml though. Im not ever using those 1ml again. Ill have a ful syringe and still have more so another syringe and 2 sticks. The only thing i wish about iv'ing is i wish the high was longer. Idk about H but dilaudid if you really nailbit is 20-30 sec then its gone. No afterglow or anything. I used to get that when i first started but now its just intense then gone leaving me wanting more. I miss 2009 when i could take 15mg of oxy and would be high for hr or so. Nothing compared to iv but i miss that. Dam tolerance. My dad had surgery last week and they gave him 5/325 percs and he prides himself on not taking that stuff. He said he was sore but ok. I told him to take one. You filled them and paid for them, take one bafoon. He did and called me later and said he felt warm in his chest and he didnt like it. Maybe i was adopted, lol. He had dilaudid pump and his girlfriend always had to tell him to hit it. Macho shit. Anyway, no complications, just rambling. Be safe out there
 
50cents! That's great, back out in NY they were a dollar a pop, in oakland 39 cents. Dude, you should not be using a 25g needle, even when I hit my femoral vein the largest I went was 27g 1/2". No wonder you're having hitting problems. Order them online if you have to, or go to a needle exchange, if your state has one. You're posts make me fucking frustrated cause I'm sure I could get you off (not in a homosexual manner), in a sec. If you can order them online, try to get 29g, they're the best for your veins when you still have them on your arms and aren't plagued by scar tissue. The 30-31's are too small a gauge in my opinion and will clog to easily, though the 30-31g bee stingers are great for hitting tiny veins.

My dad's like that too btw, yesterday my mom and I found out he just decided to take off his fentanyl patch one day early, because it 'wasn't working'. It's weird cause he was a stim user and alcoholic, I'd think he'd like opiates too, but maybe downers aren't his thing.
 
Thats crazy about your dad. That generation. I appreciate your input and youre right, when i used 29 i hit more. After todays session ive decided to quit. Shooting not the opiates. My tolerance is still down there where i can get back to my prescibed routine. The guilt is killing me man. Plus it took me hr and half to hit and i had 14 bloody cotton balls and everything was swollen. I had to stop 3 times to smoke and calm down. I finally hit going in a previous hole and it was great but is all this guilt and risky shit worth 20 sec high? Not for me. I just dont have the veins. I actuallu hit more with 30's than anything. Most of the veins i ise are surface veins. I cant believe you got your femerol vein. Where exactly did you go in. Yeah man, just a moment of clarity. Im behind on my pills so i cant afford to waste anyway. Youre not the first person to say they could get me high. Dude, im just not very good at it and like i said, no veins. Thread veins. I do appreciate your input and wish me luck bro!!

Just a few pointers if you don't mind.

I used 3mL syringes with 25g needles for years. The only time I ever needed smaller gauge needles was for crazy tiny surface veins on the palms and fingers. Even most infant veins (speaking from nursing experience, not drug use of course) will support 22-24g without much difficulty. I've always found smaller needles to clog too easily and if using a particularly robust vein have a harder time getting flash, but whatever works for you, don't think your equipment is the issue.

When shooting in the lower half of your body your shot will take longer to circulate and you will most likely feel less of a rush. There is also an increased risk of complications when shooting below the waist and you really should not be out of veins in your arms and hands yet. I think you are missing more shots/partial shots than you realize.

When inserting the needle do not start directly over the vein, come at it from an angle. Once you are in the skin just far enough for your bevel to be out of sight pull back on plunger to create a vacuum. Slowly advance needle toward the vein. When in you will see a flash of blood in the needle tip or even a full register before pulling plunger back. Be very careful to not pierce through the vein as you now pull back on plunger to confirm register (can push without this step once you are consistently getting flash upon contact with vein). You should not insert needle fully into arm, and most likely through the vein, then slide it out to find vein. This will lead to many false registers and missed shots. Especially since you are on blood thinners you are most likely getting capillary blood, extravasated blood from a pierced vein, or a rush of blood from a blown vein. Since most of your preferred veins are surface veins there's no need to insert the full 1.5 inch needle into your arm at all. Start further away from your target, this will give you room to carefully approach the vein without going through it.

Also placing the tourniquet lower down on the arm for forearm/wrist/hand veins is usually necessary to get them to dilate enough for you to find them easily. You can double tourniquet (one above, one below) forearm shots as well to increase venous filling. A blood pressure cuff can also come in handy. And remember to check the back of the arm. The angle is awkward but the veins are large.

First of all, after browsing through this thread I will never use a rig more than once ever again( not that it was any more than 3-4 but still. Yikes).
Second, I have several questions that are kinda random and other might be interested in the answers. All pertaining to IV usage.

1. What is the best method for tying off so that you can effectively release it while keeping everything secure?
- I ask because I saw that it's best to release that pressure before injecting for a few very reasonable reasons.

2. When iving meth how thick should it be? I only have access to very small syringes used for one of my cats diabetes so I tried to make it pretty potent. It was difficult to work the air bubbles and had a syrup like consistency. Which makes me wonder...

3. Was one of the reasons the initial rush wasn't as strong as I expected because it was so thick?

4. Which arm is better to use my left arm or right arm? As far as getting the most out of the rush.

5. How do I remove the needle from a syringe so I can go through the back door? Is it only syringes that are designed to have the needle removed and not the single use one?

6. How long after fully depressing the plunger should I leave the syringe in? I think because last time I injected with my tie still tight, injected it quickly, and removed it immediately( fairly precisely just probably a little to quick), and the fact it's so very tiny cause a little to accumulate under my skin. ( which is already almost gone like 3 hours later so I think I'm ok but I haven't had it happen before with meth so I started digging with led to me finally making an account here). Washed it immediately with hot water and massaged with a hot rag. No pain, redness, or swelling.

FYI this is my first time ever IVing meth, but have done it with heroin and cocaine probably 500+ times.

Last thing I wouldn't mind an opinion on, should I just nut up and go buy some decent points. Based off of how I look they wouldn't give me any trouble but paranoia gets the best of me. Also I'm not sure the exact "specs" of the kind I preferred most when I was doing heroin. I believe u100 30g 1cc is pretty common, right? That's what always come to my mind anyways. Very last thing, is there a certain gauge needle that's best for meth since its viscosity is much higher than say heroin.

I know this post is a mess so thanks in advance.
 
I'm not able to help with the meth specific questions but as far as the others:

1) Wrap the tourniquet around your arm fully, cross the tails and tuck one tail's middle through the opposite side of the band. When ready to release pull the end of the tucked tail and the whole tourniquet will come off in one easy motion. The other option is to wrap the tourniquet around your arm fully without any tying and use a tabletop or your knee to pin the tourniquet in place. When ready to release simply lift your arm. They also sell quick release button tourniquets that work well.

4) There is really no appreciable difference in right vs left arm injecting. The left may be a millisecond quicker since on the side of the heart but really no reason to not use the right arm, especially when rotating sites it helps to have more places to use.

5) They make syringes that specifically use removable needles. They are typically called "luer-lock" but they also make oral syringes that will support slide on needles as well. Needleless syringes are the kind you would use for plugging, yes.

6) Once the plunger is fully depressed you can remove it immediately. Your partially missed shot was because you left the tourniquet on, not because you removed the needle too quickly.

Yes buying fresh needles and syringes is always worth it. 30g 1cc is standard but it's whatever your preference is.
 
a 1ml fixed is good for pretty much anything, I'd only use a bigger ones for something caustic (3-fpm) for example as you'd need more water to make it do less damage. Meth is cool in a 1ml as if it is decent stuff you wont need much water man.

do it the same way you'd do coke, but expect to be up for a couple days haha.

How do you find that - can you describe please? I'd like an alternative to the femoral i'm currently using after messing up everywhere else (arms, ankles, hands, feet NECK (ugh how did i do that so many times ).

Reason i'm reading here tonight is i just did quite a big shot in my upper leg (don't like to call it groin - its not really the groin i go in - more like the upper thigh) and i had what must've been a histamine reaction - felt itchy all over and hot - it passed but triggered a panic attack of sorts - made me think i was going to go over, i could feel my chest - thnking the heart was going to stop working. i was so freaked i hadto go and try to chat with my partner to try and take my mind off it without letting on what had happened. feel ok (ish) now but for once i'm not thinking of having another hit before i sleep. got a pile of used filters i'd normally do a wash with but right now i don't want to - actually trepidatious about tomorrow morning's shot. never had that reaction before, just had minor localised itching sort of thing before - i got this batch this morning and had already had a couple of shots. is this reaction at all common - should i be worried ?

That sounds exactly like you missed into an artery.
GingerG is describing the deep brachial I believe. You have to tie off at the armpit, and flex, and you'll see a huge vein pop out from under your biceps. It's so big, I actually at first thought that it was a tendon or another muscle. If you can't see it, feel for it. Depending what way you hold out your arm it will be on the bottom, or below the bicep on the inside of your arm.
