So, it's taken a while for it to really get to the forefront of my mind, but I've become really interested by the fact you seem to practically never post in this thread about taking like less than three or four hallucinogens at once, with some of the same drugs showing up a lot. I'm curious, what are the experiences like that you're generally aiming for? With doses like 25 mg of 2C-D and 10 mg of 4-HO-MiPT, I can only imagine that I would not feel the full signature of either, which to me is like the primary goal of tripping and the reason I usually don't add in more than modulatory substances like cannabis and nitrous oxide to my primary psychoactive. Are you just trying to make like a really great high out of the individual parts or do these substances actually synergize quite well in a hallucinogenic way as well?
I have been thinking about this for a few days. I have realized that most of my trips after I started keeping multiple psychedelic substances on hand have involved... multiple psychedelic substances. There are different reasons for different scenarioa I suppose.
An early example. First trip on 4 aco dmt. Took 30mg oral and was pretty underwhelmed. Always a bit hardheaded, so I figured it would be like that, but didnt wanna go over 30mg just in case. Sniffed another 10mg to not much affect. Only had 60mg left and didntwantto waste it, so I took some mxe. Was like "holy fuck this is awesome, most I have tripped all night." Had a good amoint of 2c c, so I decided to dose some of that with mxe to see if anything much happened. Noticed much more affcect redosing different substance than the same. At the time I worked like 55 hours a week and school, so not much free time. Wanted to keep tripping, decided dosing the 2c e I had just got (and never used either) wouod be a good idea. It was! All was well until the 4th redose when the proverbial shit hit the fan, but thats another story.
What that taught me was, mixing substances makes redosing much more effective. It seems to generally hold true for me, YMMV.
I have had the textbook +4 experiences, both "positive", and "negative". I have slowly weened off the compulsion to make every trip into a +4. Especially in public places, low dose is good. Just a little somethin to make things interesting. So mixing and not getting "the full spectrum" doesnt bother me so much, as there is aleays next time. Usually not more than a week or three away.
I think most all psychedelics mix pretty well. I do not even count the dissos as combos because I always use them when I trip, it is my preference. DPT is a wildcard though. Mixing other psychedelics with that is a crapshoot. Can get realllllly intense.
I dunno, maybe I am just a recklezs hedonist? Maybe it feels like the one period of my time where I get to really be me, so I want to enjou it as fully as possible. Being a natural hardhead with tolerance makes it tricky, because sometimes a low dose kicks my ass. Sometimes it doesnt do shit. So i like to start small and work up. This goes back to my original story about redosing. For me, multiple substances are needed.
The same drugs show up a lot because I usually try and buy at least half gram- gram amounts of things I am pretty sure to like. Things like escaline and LSD i pretty mich only like outside with shit to do. I like to add onto those around hours 6-8 when main trip is dying off, but want to keep going. Shorter acting psych dies off when most of main psychs residual stimulation is dying, so that works well.
I tried to candyflip because everyone said it was so fucking great. Was a misreable 10 hours laying in my bed having the most terrifying trip ever. Realized I would have been much better off to combine mdma with dpt again. Holy fuck. I did 2-3x as much DPT as I would have been comfortable with otherwise. Sat there meditating while just dealing with shit that would have had me running for the hills any other time.
I hope this answer helps.
