SNOO V8 - In the bathroom smashing glasses

I'm not a superstitious man but I'm slightly worried about "jinxing" myself via mentioning my reason for mega-snoo.
Today I met an absolute academic idol of mine (can't mention their name given they wouldn't be too fond about being mentioned on a drug forum...), an absolute superstar of Biology who has consistently been 20 years or so ahead of the field and is credited with the creation of perhaps the most exciting novel field in the last century. They have been lead author of feature articles on the cover of Nature, New Scientist, Microbiology Weekly, Phytology and countless other top research journals with incredible frequency for over 30 years and I may have sealed an internship with them over the Summer aiding research into extremophilic Archaea in the Arctic Circle.

Fucking mega Snoo!

=D

Sprout, I've just seen this and it sounds awesome. Made up for you mate. I've done a little microbiology at undergraduate level and always found the Archaea and extremophiles particularly fascinating.

Aye sounds canny like wor kid..... (why have I started typing the same way I.... Err I mean others... Talk?? :))

Wow, Sprout, when did you tell us all this? I usually never miss a thing on Bluelight but I missed this. What's with that? :). Good luck. Hope it all works out :)

Nice one. But does that actually mean working in the Arctic Circle somewhere? Or just dealing with data gathered there?

I've discovered the joys of wool over Christmas. Sat in a loose woolly jumper with similar slippers and a cable knit blanket my Mum got me and I couldn't be more snuggly unless I guess I'd just taken a bunch of codeine soooooo that's my plan tonight now.

^sounds ace. I don't like wool myself though I like blankets.

Are you having some codeine them? Or just reminds you of it?

Yes, It's early, I got woken up at half 4 with a nasty cough and hopefully with any luck will be sleeping soon once more.

My snoo is that my misery should hopefully come to an end soon and that very ( hopefully ) very soon I shall be nesting with my boy. I know there are going to be bumps in the road but we'll face that paw in paw. That man has seen me through hurricanes and loved me every step of the way. I can't wait! A kinder, more compassionate man I could not imagine existed.

I'm a very VERY lucky girl!

Enough of the sop. BIDNIZ as a bitch resumes as usual.. As you were.....

You are very lucky n we like that sop. I know it's a standing joke in EADD when people go lovey docey to jokinglt say "Where's the sick bucket?" but it's nice to see people gettimg on n happy than negative, dramatic, arguing that often goes on

It's taken me a long time to be happy fot others especially in relationships. For a long time---until actually a few months ago I could not read about someone im a relationship without feeling angry n then tryimg to justify to myself the reasons fot that anger. I'm glad I've turned a corner from that n actually learning to be happy for others.

So it's lovely hearing about your relationship. You bring joy n happiness to others by doing becauae seeing others happy makes people happy

It'll work out for you both because you're both good, determined people. You've both been through hard times n have come through the other side as stromger, more dependable, wise, determined people. You both love n want to be with one another arebdoing so in a way that you're thinking of others. It may be easy formme to say but my advice tomyou both is to try n see any setbaxks / hardships as a game; a challenge to overcome. The more challenge you overcome in order to be with one another the more rewarding it will be for you both n that you both worked hard to axhieve
This; through your love for another n no matter what happend you're furtherbthan you were 12 months ago. We, EADD, love n are rigjt behind you both willing everything to succeed n go right for you n it will.

My new to me motorbike is finally on its way!

I bought it nearly two months ago, but it was 8500 miles away, so shipping took a bit of working out. Got it sorted and it was picked up this morning:)

Here it is being loaded:

I sense wheelies in my future.

Boots? It's a rare day when I can get her to wear a crash helmet. . .

Fluffy slippers would be as close as that woman gets to bike boots. I'm working on it!

Working on its going to cost you at least £200 don't be so stingy! Let the lady pick herself some stylish lady biker boots.

Felix lets me go no where without my helmet, I need one that opens at the front or I get clostrphobic but then it's heavy on your neck on longer trips. Last time in rural France all kitted out in a wee skirt and vest top with flip flops he refused to take me until I put my boots on... Felt like a bit of a dick wandering around the wee shops etc but hey apparently I should love my toes 8)

He was going uber mad speeds though.... Me clinging onto my baguette and peaches like my life depended on it lol :D

I've really enjoyed a few wheelies on the back after coming through toll booths, up mountains he can get to fuck but I don't mind the pay roads in Europe.

'Clinging onto my baguette and peaches' - you were tossing him off as he drove?!

Not at all because that and some French cheese was dinner that night, of course the top box was full of the booze;)

By that time I'd learned you don't need to hold on to the rider, you just use your legs and move with the bike and him/ her.

I've actually had naps as a pillion, becomes a subconscious thing. Mind I'd say if you don't trust the rider and know how to "be" with the bike itself falling asleep at 70-80mph isn't a good idea. HR no whatnot..but you don't need to hold on at all, it's amazingly freeing! X

Ps: but yes sexual exploits have happened on poor Betty bike:eek:

Snoo today was a family funeral. It was a biggie but so joyous and happy for the rest of the family to be together and be loving. I'm sorry that I've lost my last uncle of the Irish side of my family, he was so funny and an emotional guy who had time for us, but he had a good innings. What he's left is a massive family of 31 first cousins and numerous friends and comrades who all get each other. My snoo was the over whelming love we had for each other today - and into the future. I'm very lucky.
