apologies for the late response. after that post with the j.k. huysman quote, i went on an inner journey, did some soul searching. BUT better late than never ? i just googled the hermes alligator docuementary and just got some links from dailymail ( http://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/ne...reality-Hermes-luxury-crocodile-handbags.html ) i had a feeling the one i watched few months back was longer than 7 minutes, or could have just felt like due to the content...

pretty rad the birthplace of the huysman is close to where ya work. "À rebours" left a lasting impression on me, so much so it influences my thoughts and decisions in everyday life.

/start random thoughts. wild last few months with the departure of wang, simmons, elbaz. accusations of cultural appropriation @ junya watanabe and valentino no shortage of controversy... lots to chew on. find it fascinating to explore topics like consumerism (h&m balmain) economics, exploitation of young/vulnerable kids like yall were discussing sofia mechetner on previous page, race, etc through fashion.

i really like what alessandro michele is @ gucci, and it's nice to see the house promote from within. last few years it has been like musical chairs @ so many major houses.

that's a great pick for chlöe. tiger on the bottom makes it.

it's a cliche word in the fashion industry, but lindsey deserves it; girl is iconic of this generation's supermodels. can't remember what event that was, but she completely captivated terry richardson and the resulting photo set suggests that he followed the teenager around all night taking photos of her being tipsy and shoveling spaghetti without regard to likely loaned designer getup. those impromptu photos went so well that they inspired a setup photo shoot soon after ...

for Purple Fashion fall 2011. really wish i knew what she was wearing in the top pic. she wears a few cool dresses in that editorial, including some rodarte. it's good she's getting her carbs and starches, but personally i think she looks better eating a mango.

i've got a bunch of spring '16 rtw somewhere in my favorite that i've been meaning to share, especially marchesa. finding those will be a chore and i'm at work, so for now ...

nastya looking ready for the title fight backstage at jean-paul gaultier couture spring '15. photo by r. torrado. there's a larger copy here, but it's white balance is too warm on my mac. looks completely fine on my work PC though. one day this variety in interpreting and displaying color code is going to drive me over the edge.

yea just been going through what i liked on tumblr. recall years ago saving all the pics to the hard drive, now just fav it.. much more convenient.

at some restaurant for an event wearing a low cut black dress. also from 2011. looking back at it, her makeup would be a little over the top.

i got the new issue of Self Service. harley weir photographed "the obsessions" section. i've only had a chance to glance at it, but it seems like a great issue. saw a couple shots that i expect will be worthy of this thread and/or tumblr. i also got the new Double Magazine, and it has a shot of thylane blondeau! it's not my favorite photo of her, but i'm thrilled to see her doing real work in an art house publication.

read something about her going back to school for computer science, starting a code w/ karlie scholarship. admirable.

nice purchases, i recall seeing damaris goodrie shot by harley weir. amazing photographer. looking forward to the posts/pics.

and the more i see of the creations from alessandro michele for gucci the more i love it.

the skirt is definitely gucci. watch this video @ 1:37 and you will see the same print pattern...

I had an interview today for Armani Collezioni.

Edit: I have a follow-up interview but not too familiar with the brand. I've been googling some stuff but can anyone share their thoughts on this brand? image, product knowledge, brand, style, trends, etc.

that's awesome, Pretty Diamonds. can't say i know anything about armani or armani collezioni. a quick wiki reveals they're a sub-brand that "aims at a younger age group and focuses on each season's trends like other designer brands in Milan fashion week." slightly more affordable than their runway/ready-to-wear line. justing browsing now, seems like all the armani lines are big on black, gray, and usually dark colors. doesn't look like armani collezioni has shows, so best way to scope their look would probably be online stores and their website. best of luck!

the female counterpart to tyrone lebon. like sally mann, she's got a knack for and is able to get away with an aesthetic that feels like staring. that interview with her is a good find. funny how sweet she sounds, in contrast with her photography.

in print, the type is foil. looked really good on my coffee table. though the new issue replaced it well. i've got a black coffee table with a bright red couch, and the cover is a black & white photo with red foil type.

wearing esve spring '16, which i had never heard of before this season. the light on the dress is good stuff. can't figure out who the photographer is. too bad it's photoshopped into oblivion -- like so much of fashion photography. she always bears a resemblance to elle fanning, but especially here.

been meaning to post the runway shot for a while ...

Thank you for the links! Yeah, I've been browsing and watching interviews that he gave. I have my follow-up interview tomorrow so we shall see. I'm a good seller.. just not really a fashionista. Lol. I guess that just makes me a good liar. ;) I know he does a lot of classics and he's known for tailoring...
