Gibberings CXCIV: Come on, mods. Let's go wild with this.

On my feet running around like a loon for 40 hrs a week, nah, I get enough exercise. I'd much rather be asleep. With any luck I should get there soon enough once again. Currently I'm in that dreamy state inbetween sleep and consciousness.
.

I don't know how to achieve what you're asking but I do know it's nigh on impossible to de-rail gibberings....
Im not sure that's possible either but never say never and and all that,

I've my own room. They're strict when you come in, when they see you're not about to be a twat they back off. I only get to keep it of a weekend. Weekdays I only get it from 6pm til 11pm.

Oh to be a child again.... it sucks, believe me..:)
Do you get to keep you shoe laces, belt and neclases ? Took me 2weeks before they let me have mine, even got an escort to have a shave !

Cant sleep.

Out of curiosity, when you all do someone a birthday thread n you put up a Happy Birthday sign / pic of cake - do you download the pic n upload to photobucket n link it that way? It's just that Ali once said on Support that there's a quicker way. Could someone give me a hand here please, as I may do someone a birthday thread in the near future but wish to do it right n not bodge the thing up.

PM me if anyone would like to help but feels it may disrupt / derail the thread.

Thanks awfully xxxx

Evey

Find the image you want on a webpage and right click it, you'll get an option to save the location or save the URL, it depends what operating system or browser your using. Then just go to the post and paste that in where you would have pasted your photo bucket link, there is a testing grounds forum if you just want to practice.

Yea I don't blame ye honey. Me mam used to own a business, was up at 3 am each day, always on her feet, then rushing here there n everywhere. She'd walk so fast in town n had lean arms from carrying heavy loads. So agree work can be exercise in itself.
She even went round the race4life track with me with Lilvibe in the pram. Stubborm Mam as she's got osteophorosis but stlll insists on carrying stuff etc so I'm glad They're sold that business now. Even now she's a job carrying heavy stuff n aint told them she's got crumbling bones n has to take naproxen n zapain for pain (although she refuses tp take codeine cause of my addiction).

I've only ever had sitting down, admin jobs where you have to attend meetings (some quite interesting to be honest especially when the mtgs are at different levels like mental health, LD, n the the management discussions) but they were exhausting. I attended a Food Hygeine course the other day n was exhausted just sitting there n listening, from 9 am until 4 pm. Reminded me of the first day in a new job - always feel exhausted but ok once I got used to it, but a sense of pride n freedom because I was earning my own money.

Nothing makes you feel more alive than working n earning your own money n once I'm off the suboxone, sorted my head out I intend on getting back out there. I hope this don't come across as patronising n I apologise if it does but you should be proud of yourself. You work really hard n also are a lovely person. You deserve some happiness n I wish you n Shambles all the very best.

Goodness I've rambled on here n almost wrote a novel sorry for that.

I've had more than a few desk jobs Evey, they bore me. I'm more of a Rosie the riveter type girl. I enjoy hard work. Last office job I enjoyed really worked my mind and problem solving skills. I just like to make others happy. Customer service is the easiest form for me. My last office job let me do that whilst sitting about at a desk but their expectations of time frames were ridiculous. Some people need more care than others and it may take longer to solve the problem. Either way it bored me, each day the same, the same walls the same desk the same day. My only highlight is when I got to make someone happy. In the field I was in that took longer than usual...

Exhausted I may be and my salary isn't what it used to be but I am much happier. It doesn't hurt that after a particularly harsh day I have the loveliest person to lean upon.

I'm in a posh rehab, not Broadmoor ;) not allowed drugs is about the only stipulation..

Just checking you're hanging on to your since of humour, as it goes you're right the detox foke got to keep their shoe laces ! But with me just being one of the wonky ones they started letting me out for an hour to walk to the shops, so me being me smuggled a bit of baccy in for said detoxers in return for a few temazies ......that's the NHS for you !

The no sleep thing is a grind, my insomnia seems permanent at least to the extent I never get more than 6 hours and never more than 4 without fully waking making the rest .....restless. I hope and trust yours will improve soon, if I'm unable to sleep I just get up and go down to the living room. I find I just get more and more distressed lieing there trying to fall to sleep, for me that's the worst part of it.

Tis still intact. I think it's getting on the counsellors nerves actually, I use humour as a defence apparentlY. I'm usually miserable as fuckin sin so I'm quite enjoying making people laugh. They don't like the group bursting into laughter when they're pyschoanalysing us.. :D

I'm much the same without being opiated, I run on very little sleep really. You're right, the worst part is lying there looking at the ceiling, hearing everyone else snoozing away. Bastards.. this won't be such a problem in my new bachelor pad :D
