'' If it's a girl they're gonna name it Sigourney, after the actress. And if it's a boy they're gonna name him Rodney, after Dave. '' :D

I can't remember if I picked the right option in the poll. I keep forgetting what age I am.

Like a great number of people I've considered checking out more than once but I currently conclude that I really should stick around for the rest of the show, death and whatever might follow will seek me out when it's good and ready.

Small beans as it is you'd certainly be missed in these parts

Thanks for for your supportive messages. I had actually written a longer post but it disappeared.

Starting so early in life, having a kid with 18, terrified to lose my job and my scholarship and losing so much of my health due to heavy need of drugs makes me feel older now. Maybe I'm just exhausted.

Feels like being on my 40s but feeling like I'm over 60. And still terrified about losing my work, etc.
The need of having a sober life after 27 years of drug abuse gets in the way.

But your messages give me hope. Thank you!

Erikmen your post resounds with me, I'm 49 and started abusing myself and drugs early...hmm 14-15 and never really stopped. Well the odd pregnancy or 3 and breakdown stopped it for a bit but I agree it takes a heavy toll on you as you age and makes you wonder about all that damage. But as I creep towards 50 and my family are now off my hands I feel a that I do have a chance to make something of "what's left" however long that may be. I'm keen to grasp it with enthusiasm and make the most of it. Take risks and try new things - hell what have we to lose?

Throw yourself into a new era, you never know what joy it may bring or not. But the roads long and there's mileage to go yet, new things to see do and experience to be enjoyed - It's still life babes, you gotta run with it <3

Fuckin class. Bluelight (EADD) is populated mainly by veteran drugists like myself.

I can relax now. I was starting to think i was getting too old for enjoying bluelight and getting intoxicated.

Clearly not.

On the other hand what would be the point?

This presupposes that there is a point. We have no way of knowing that either - they call it faith because that is what it is. Need there be a point? Would be nice to think that there is but I also have a certain fondness for it all being the most unfathomably bizarre series of accidental happenings leading nowhere in particular but being a thoroughly fascinating journey and spectacle to observe from what windows we have to look in - or out - at it all.

I do have a lot of faith in human nature and us as a species though. If I were to say there is any point to things it would be to continue to build upon previous generations struggles toward true expression of their humanity. Each generation seems to gain a little new insight, ever reaching closer to... whatever it is we could ultimately become. Think not what you can do, think what you can do for us all (to paraphrase a cunt).

Also please don't forget some members are currently on temp-bans so we don't have exact figures of ages. Prob best to keep this thread open a few months if you want proper estimation of age as some members may not be included at mo n isn't that only fair?

Interesting that no representatives from the 0 - 18 group have come forward yet. Surely its this age group that need the wisdom and experience that BL offers? Perhaps us old, jaded addicts have put them off (which could be a good thing tbh).

We're hanging around on here because we are old, you wouldn't of caught me posting on a forum at 18 to my mid twenties, I was to busy smashing myself apart at parties... or on my own ;)

You're definitely right though that this age group are in need of the most advice and information. Kids will be kids though, we all knew it all then.. I still do :D

Edit: see, you know it all to.. ^^^^;)

52 look late 30's heroin keeps you looking young....my reasoning? Well we are all born with a specific number of heartbeats we will have until we die on heroin your whole metabolism slows down so although the years pass your body is moving at a slower rate.
btw do i get the cup for being the oldest?

I was using drugs at 12, I wish I'd had some more information to hand. I forget now, is there something in the terms for signing up about age:? I don't recall it..

Drugs don't discriminate on age, why should we??

@blondin - everyone in this rehab thought I was 22ish, that's 10 years I can attribute to heroin. I'd sooner look my age and have things intact... I think ;) 2 sugars??

Don't do smack kids.. HR an all that

Well I would not be happy having my child on here under 18. You only have to look at the Gibberings thread as of late to know why. All this discussion of sex n pics with no NSFW tags etc. i'd be extremely concerned letting my child come on Bluelight under the age of 18. If you're saying that this site allows for under 18 then I suggest that some of the content needs looking at, in my opinion, as its not safe / suitable for under-age viewing no offence intended.

I really don't mean thay in a mean way it's just my feelings.

You can't stop kids viewing stuff online - how easy is it to lie about your age? My daughter had a FB account at 12, my son has one at 10. I personally would rather my kids be educated than be victims of censorship and ignorance.

It's the internet Evey, we've no way of controlling who comes on here. That is down to the parent to monitor what little Tommy is looking at.. We can't distinguish between a 50 year old or a 5 year old, it's just a computer to us..

I'd rather my kid saw a naked woman and had some safe and sound advice about the chemical they're about to fire into there system.. thats my view..
