The EADD a trifle annoyed thread v. I bet that smarts a bit

Just finished watching the first 3 series of Game Of Thrones and I'm hooked.
Now I'm annoyed as I really want to watch the 4th series but I can't afford to buy it at the moment and I don't want to have to wait ages until I get to see how the story continues.
 
You all are lucky. We don't really get to choose here, no one bothers competing with the company that runs all the telecoms shit in the city. I think there's maybe one or two others, we don't even get fucking BT. It's really weird and quite shit, don't think there's anywhere else like it.
 
Jesus fucking Christ I'm getting so bastard SICK of photobucket. Sorry for the language but Christ o' bastard mighty. Every time I try to upload a photo of a celeb PT on my iPhone it takes me to the fkn app store. I'm getting worried now because last time I had a load of third party service charges on my phone bill that came to £71 (which I didn't think could happen on iPhone, as I've an Apple a/c that everything is paid by...) and with photobucket it's all icons and small font keeps taking me to app store.

The last time I used this damned programme I was so angry I slammed my fist on the table n it fkn hurt.

Why can't they make these programmes easy? When I use the fkn thing on the pc it's so slow that when I click a button it moves and then I click summit else and it takes AGGGGGES before I'm able to upload the fkn pictures.

Right off to E-mail the pic to myself so I can access it on here and use the Godamn programme here.

By the time I've finished there'll either by no phone or laptop because they'll be through the window faster than bloody lightening or I'll break this table by shoving my fist through it (kidding, by the way)

That's definitely weird. So weird that I almost don't believe you.

BT Openreach own and operate (and charge line rental for) all the copper wire and telephone exchanges in the UK (someone correct me if I'm wrong). And they are legally obliged to allow any ISP to provide service over it.

You must live in a fucking weird throwback pocket of the country or something, where some evil local businessman managed to keep BT out.

Who are you with, for phone and/or ISP???

Long story short, don't use iPhones. They are shit overpriced shit with pathetic charger connections that are not compatible with any other phones so you have to buy their shit overpriced shit cables and shit overpriced shit headphones. Plus you can't do anything without shit itunes shit. Do you gather I don't like apple much? They're shit :-)

Seriously though, Apple use a Chinese manufacturer called Foxcomm that has a despicable human rights record. I used to be privvy to their audit reports and that's what put me off them. Their employees have a ridiculously high rate of suicide, are underpaid, live on site without adequate fire escapes etc. Then apple boast about several billion dollars of profit in the last quarter. Well y'know what they say, 'pay peanuts and you get an overpriced iphone'... ;-)

It wasn't a local businessman - it was the council. Until they finally sold their last stake just under a decade ago.

I know this because snolly resides in the same city as my beautiful, charming, intelligent, generous, loving ex originates from. They were actually one of the first companies in Europe to offer an ADSL service.

My theory, though, is that the denizens of said municipality had such miserable voices that it necessitated a different grade of copper wire.

And Evey. Download the "imgupr" app for your iPhone and use www.imgur.com for uploading photos. It could not be simpler.

I love my iPhone. Fuck y'all. ;)
 
It was never owned by BT. It was established in 1902 by the city corporation. The GPO didn't establish a monopoly until 1912.

Not very American really. Think of the pre-nationalised railways.

imgur should be the image upload site of choice for the discerning bluelighter because they strip out the exif on upload. So I can't get the GPS tag off the photo you took with your iPhone and use it to track you down!

I get the railway analogy, but it's definitely the sort of shit that happens nowadays in the American midwest, where many people still can't get broadband or they're stuck with one (shitty and monopolistic) provider.

Anyway, I've just read the wikipedia article on the subject in question, and I'm still outraged on behalf of ****'s residents. ;) But I appreciate that it's not that simple a matter.

Christ its a damn shame I'm not allowed to belt the hell out of others kids. Standing in fromt of me thinking I cant see them, throwing stones n laughing n I've got to walk casually passed them like nothing when im feeling small n angry as fuck. Kinda embarrassing when im walking with my daughter. You'd think in my 30s this BS would end but no does it fuck. I'd love to know how they know ive an eye sight issue anyway when i dont talk to any of the fuckers round here n keep myself to myself. Place is too small n everyone is in everyone's godamn business.

Parents ought to teach their children some fucking manners instead of putting them infront of the TV n ignore their behaviour. When my child acts up she goes to her room for a bit, thinks about her behaviour n then we discuss it.

But half the fkn brats are being dragged up n people like me are being the price.

Lol not used to that ha. I've calmed down now. But my goidness it's annoying n embarrassing. Kids can be so spiteful these days. Last summer this child, 3 years older, wanted to play with lilvibe. She was with another friend i let her cautiously as she'd cone round a few months before n i felt she was using my child for her toys insteas of wanting to actually play with her - and since, an expensive toy has gone but i cant prove it was this child. Anyway i let them come play in the paddling pool n they were doing lots of naughty stuff saying "say it was lil vibe doing it" like throwing towels in the pool, turning on the hose etc etc. anyway i had to make an excuse to get rid of them n refuse to let my child bother with her since.

All these parents are obsessed with buying this that other n putting it over Facebook to show off. Last week i did loads with lil vibe n it cost hardly anything.

Took her to the aquaduct, along the canal to see the barges, to the river, long walks, park, free in door play area.

But all people want to do these days is shove their kids in front of the TV or buy them the latest phone to keep up appearances. And if the kids are naughty, instead of taking time in disciplining them they have a go at anyone who dares to say anything against their kid.
